At prior dentist's office, I found myself physically clenching as they cleaned my teeth. Last week, I went to Aqua Dental for a new client assessment and cleaning, and - dare I say it - I am ALMOST looking forward to my next appointment. My first impressions of Aqua Dental were how thorough and kind they were. They explained everything to me, and I learnt so many things. I came back home and found myself passing along my newfound knowledge to my husband. The biggest bonus of all, my teeth have never felt so clean! To this day, I'm still rubbing my tongue along my teeth in awe. The dentist who did my cleaning is a perfectionist in his trade. I wasn't shamed for any of my bad dental habits (not flossing, not wearing my retainer), which helps reduce my anxiety for future appointments. I'm SO glad that I switched to Aqua Dental! I hope to take advantage of their comfort menu during my next visit, which includes things such as massage chairs, heated towels, weighted blankets. Don't be deterred by their long wait. When I submitted my request last month to become a new client, my appointment couldn't be scheduled until August 2023(!!). I have since been coming to this dental clinic for approximately 5 years. As mentioned, the location is really great. The clinic is welcoming, warm and clean. The hours here are great. They often open as early as 7:30am (I think) allowing you to come by before work. Staff here are always friendly and courteous. They've always dealt with my insurance well too, if I owe anything they usually just give me a call, rather than having me pay upfront too. I like this, this is convenient for me. They have a program here too, each referral will earn you a gift card of sorts. I referred a friend, and they issued me a $25 Mastercard gift card! Amazing! My only complaint about this dental clinic is the high turn over in staff. It seems I have a new hygienist and dentist every time I visit... Everyone in the office is so friendly yet professional, and they all seem to legitimately love their job. So my regular dentist is actually in Toronto (my hometown) even though I moved away over a decade ago. I still made my twice a year trip to see him, because my whole family and I have been seeing him since I was a child, and he is great. However, sometimes emergencies happen and you need to see a dentist in a more timely manner than is possible with a dentist in a different city. This is how I met Dr. Dan. A while back (pre-pandemic) I was struck in the face during one of my martial arts classes (my reaction time was a bit too slow, I guess) and immediately had pain in one of my teeth. There was no bleeding and it didn't seem loose, but I wanted to see a dentist ASAP. Dr. Dan is actually my husband's dentist, so he e-mailed Dr Dan, since it was after hours, explaining the situation. Dr. Dan responded almost immediately, suggesting that I take some Ibuprofen to minimize inflammation and his office will call me in the morning with an appointment time. As promised, Shane called me in the morning and I saw Dr. Dan later that afternoon. Dr. Dan was excellent, explaining everything he was doing along the way. He was even sympathetic to my situation, lol. He examined me and determined that I had no permanent damage to my tooth. Never did he pressure me to become one of his regular patients, and he was very understanding as to why I still trekked to Toronto to see my dentist. He said he was happy to be there for me for emergencies. I ended up also getting a customized mouth guard through Dr. Dan after the incident. The price was very reasonable and the fit is so much better than those generic "boil and bite" ones that you get at sports stores. I was seen by the dental hygienists for the mouth guard and they were great too. Fast forward to one year into the Covid-19 Pandemic (and 13 months since my last dental cleaning), it didn't make sense to travel to Toronto for a dental appointment, so I called Westboro Dental Station. Dr. Dan wasn't available, but Dr. Emma Wong was, so I became one of her patients. She was also great. Very thorough and patient. As much as I like my dentist in Toronto, the convenience of being able to walk to my dental appointments can't be beat. I'm hoping my Toronto dentist understands. Westboro Dental Station is, you guessed it, in Westboro, so the parking situation is not great. There is street parking if you can find it or a paid parking lot nearby. Luckily for me, I don't need to worry about parking.

I've always been leery about finding a dentist since you really get the impression that some of them don't really care and are just there to "extract" (Get it? HA!) as much money from at each visit. I settled on Westboro Station Dental after doing some research and finding very good reviews about the clinic and Dr. Dan. I went in as a new patient and Dr. Dan and his staff did a great job. They did a thorough examination and Dr. Dan also took the time to explain and show me exactly the state of my teeth and what needed to be done to correct some sensitivity I was having with one tooth. I also had a cleaning during this initial visit and was very pleased: very thorough and no discomfort. Definitely recommended.

I came here not expecting much of a difference from my previous dentist, but I was so, so wrong! I met Dr. Fogel and he is a very sweet man. He answered all of my questions and is extremely thorough with his examination. He even checked my mouth for any abnormal lumps and abnormal tissues for any signs of disease or cancer, along with a full jaw and connective tissues exam ( I didn't know that dentists did this type of check-up as I don't remember mine ever doing this). I finished up and really felt good about the whole experience. As I said before, Dr. Fogel is not only knowledgable, but really takes the time to explain everything to you. You can tell that he really enjoys his profession, and he is a very charismatic individual. If there was a "dentist of the year" award, my vote would definitely be for this guy. He also has a great sense of humour, as he has " We cater to cowards" on the window, which had me smiling on my way in. The dental hygienists are also very kind and professional. All the dental hygienists I had for teeth cleaning while I was a patient there were professional and patient focused. Dr. Saran was knowledgeable, professional and provided great patient care. The clinic itself was clean and welcoming. This is the only dental clinic I have ever been to that gave a bottle of wine as a welcome package for new patients (so nice!). They also had a decent referral program. The clinic offers direct billing to insurance companies meaning you only have to pay any necessary deductibles or percentages not covered. This clinic is located in a somewhat convenient location on Jeanne D'arc nearby restaurants and a major bus route. The clinic offers evening and weekend appointments, which is also convenient for those who work standard office hours.
