Front desk was adamant on the payment due for the day even though they had it wrong and the fact that we haven't signed anything yet. Lady at the front desk with lash extensions and blond hair was nice and friendly but her co-worker carol was very passive aggressive, she was the short and fat lady that was there with a long pony-tail or the person in the middle of the yelp cover picture. She wasn't part of anything that was going on but decided to rudely interrupt and butt into our conversation telling us to pay the amount due and disregard everything that I had told her which was very unprofessional. My appointment was scheduled at 2pm. They did not start on my root canal until 4:30. The procedure should have taken no more than 45 minutes, but the doctor was working on multiple patients at the same time, I was out of there at 6pm. I don't know if they overbooked themselves or if this is a common practice but they should take people time into more consideration. 4 hours for a root canal when you have an appointment is unacceptable. read more

I went to the Montebello office in 2019 for a root canal. It was across from my regular dentist Dr. Yu. I told Dr. Yu that I was not happy with the service I received in 2019. It was very painful and the doctor was not very gentle. It felt like he was pounding my brain. Dr. Yu said he could refer me to another doctor in Diamond Bar, but that was about 60 minutes away. I was reassured that it would be different in 2021. I was in pain, so I went next door. I was seen by Dr. Lee, and I explained my concerned about the treatment I received last time. He promised that it would be different. The service I received was horrible. Even though he did give me pain medication I was in pain for the last 30 minutes of treatment. Tears were falling from my eyes from the pain, but he did not stop the procedure. I endured the treatment because I knew if he stopped to give me further pain medication the treatment would take longer. When the procedure was over he told the dental assistant to close up. She took off all the apparatus from my mouth and I told her I was in a lot of pain. She said would I like Ibuprofen and some water. I said yes and asked if Dr. Lee would return. When Dr. Lee did return I told him I was in a lot of pain. He gave me another shot, which hurt adding very much to the already pain in my mouth. He gave me a prescription for Penicillin, which I am allergic to. So, he had to write another prescription. I was sitting there try to compose myself when the dental assistant handed me my purse. It was time to go, I guess they needed the chair for another patient to torture. read more

PAK before & seen him again today for a needed Re-treat Root Canal on another tooth. Both times DR. PAK has treated me... I will NOT go anywhere else to have a Root Canal done.!!! DR. PAK & his staff are really, really NICE..The office is very clean & spacious, & all the Dental Assistance are sweet & handle their job very well. DR. I was referred to Rootvision from my dentist. This is the third root canal I've had (DON'T JUDGE ME!), and my experience at Rootvision was by far the best. Dr. Annie was so skillful - she explained everything she was doing, and checked in many times to make sure I was comfortable. At the same time, she was dealing with an older gentleman also having a procedure who only spoke Chinese. Dr. Annie tended to both of our needs without missing a beat - and while she was working on the other patient, Gabi prepped my tooth so that no time was wasted. Both of these women are AMAZING at their jobs and know how to make all the patients feel comfortable and relaxed. The whole procedure (including numbing and prep) took around 90 minutes. I sometimes am waiting that long at my regular dentist before the dentist even has time to see me! I was supposed to go in for a consultation, but they told me that if I was willing to come back in an hour, they could actually do the root canal so that I wouldn't have to return on another day. I was glad that I made that choice, and that they were willing to accommodate me. I hope I never have to go back (because I don't want another root canal!), but if I had to, I'm glad that I can be confident that they will make the process as comfortable and quick as possible! read more

I really wanted to use Yelp to complain about the doctor being 45 minutes behind schedule-but the service was SO great that I no longer care (too much). The staff here are very friendly and offered me something to drink numerous times and apologized for the delay. This appointment was for a re-treatment of a previous root canal (not performed by this group) and the doctor took the time to explain everything he was doing, which I appreciated. He cleaned the canals out and even found an extra that my last endodontist's may have missed. Did I mention everything was completely pain free! The only time I felt discomfort was from my jaw muscles being open so wide for a long period. But between my X-ray to check the canals the doctor rubbed my cheeks. I've never had a dentist do that and it was incredibly sweet and much appreciated. Overall, I had a great experience and the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the time delay. I was referred here by 2 of my dentists and had my root canal re-treatment done by Dr. Annie. Reason for my redo was because I had an abscess. I know most dentist will scare you into thinking your teeth is bad, but I felt more secured here when everything were explained before they start the procedure. They gave me all the time I need to read the agreement before I make my decision, they didn't rush or scare me. The waiting time was about 30minutes and whole process took about an hour because she was carefully cleaning out the root, double check and triple check everything. I had a fear for numb shots, but she did it so fast and I didn't have time to react to the pain. The abscess tooth bothered me for a whole month and I was glad it was fixed by a reliable specialist. Do have a list of questions and concerns for them before you go in so you know what to expect. Other than that, you're in good hands. read more

I had set up a appointment from the covina location to get My number 19 done. The receptionist said i can take care of the bill, while i was waiting for the endodontist. Nadia handed me the paper for the bill when I noticed, it was the full amount for two teeth. I was told from the other location, i would only pay for the one that I get worked on which was $1100 for one teeth. I asked how comes is $2200? She said I had to pay for the whole thing since they were going to work on two. I told them I was only told one was getting done so I didn't bring the full amount. She then sorta gave me attitude. I'm not quite sure since I was still thinking of the whole thing. So she asked how much do I have on the card, so I said $1500. Then just pretty much hurried me to make the payment. I felt rushed and pushed to continue. Likely my card link to my phone, asked if I can call customer service to verify the amount. I sneak out to make a call to my dentist first, asking if there was another location since I felt uncomfortable to even stay there. She said the office doesn't even contact them. She couldn't even contact the endodontist they l that they referred me to. If you're going to pay over $2000 to get a root canal re treated, it worries me to think I would have to do another one again. The first one was around $3000. I'm glad I didn't go thru with the service. I found another one who asked for my dentist info when I just wanted to make a appointment for exam. read more

Staff was very informative and friendly, the facility was very clean and modern. Most important of all the doctor and his assistant (Nadia) were very kind and attentive to my needs. This is an "Endodontic" office, meaning they specialize in the two most dreaded words in Dentist lingo (ROOT CANAL) and they accept that with pride and educate their patients the whole way through the process so that you have an understanding of what is going on all the way through the process rather than just being there "Along for the ride" I've been through the process twice prior to this event and have never had a few negative dental experiences as an adult... I'm sure you've had the same "let's talk about the Money, you need money, how much money have you got or we'll let you tough out the pain" but this experience was nothing like that. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs a root canal, and I don't make recommendations lightly. read more

You call this office and they are NOT good about returning calls. As for the endodontist there, Dr Yu, I was referred to him by a dentist I saw in the San Gabriel valley. Dr. Yu said I needed a root canal which he did but now the tooth is acting up again as if a root canal was never done, or done properly! I paid a lot of money and on top of that, had a crown put on already (he said to get it on asap). My daughter saw another dentist in the San Gabriel valley and he referred her to this same endodontist....that's why we're scratching our heads and wondering if they have some referral/kickback system going on. I told her not to go Dr. Yu. We found another endodontist, with good referrals, paid a little more but probably had the root canal done right. read more

I have an art gallery of beautiful root canals done by Dr. Pak - I think he's done five of them now, in the last ten years. He is straightforward, gentle, focused and patient. My favorite part is how he doesn't hold the novocaine needle up in front of your face - he brings it up under your line of vision, so it's less intimidating and less stressful! Relaxing environment for such a major procedure. To date, haven't had a single problem with the results. Front office staff is attentive and relaxed. The dental assistant is also relaxed and focused; you can tell they communicate well and function as a team. Nadia has taken on dealing with my insurance company without batting an eye. Overall a perfectly smooth experience for such a potentially awful procedure - the worst part is the soreness afterward, which actually was just annoying, not all that bad either! read more
