Great people, great coffee, and the best made-from-scratch scones. Parking can be a problem but it's worth a short walk.

This was a pleasant surprise…read more Our Place Cafe probably won't wow you with its food or its name, but what they do, they do well and sensibly. For example, look at their menu. At many places, you get one choice and one price for that. You don't want sausage? Tough cookies, you still pay the same price. However, at Our Place, the menu is incremental, so you can order what you want and leave the other stuff off. No hassles, no overpaying. Things were cooked well: the eggs were ordered over medium and they came that way. Hash browns crisp and chewy. Toast was toasty. The coffee tasted like fresh coffee. You want it? You got it. I might come back the next time that I'm passing through the area.

We stopped in for breakfast on a Friday morning and were greeted by our server, Leslie who told us we could site at any available table. She was very friendly. The restaurant was quite busy including the counter. It did take her about 15 minutes to take our order as she was juggling orders and bringing out plates. Unfortunately for Leslie, she was the only server and there were a few tables with larger groups of people. She was doing her best to take orders and bring out the food as ready. The cafe clearly needed additional staff. We were not in a hurry so we were fine but could tell others were getting impatient. We both ordered our drinks which took about 15 minutes to bring out, the food took much longer. I believe there was 1 cook working as well. I ordered one of the meat skillets with two poached eggs and sourdough toast. Unfortunately the poached eggs were cooked hard, not poached. Either chef overcooked or it is possible it sat too long waiting for pickup as the dish was warm, not hot. My friend ordered the veggie skillet and said she liked it. Overall, I did like the cafe even though my dish was overcooked. I will give it another try one day. Hopefully they can find additional staff.

Warmed up is definitely my favorite, but since they're made fresh each day, you can't go wrong. Service: The staff is super nice and we got our cinnamon rolls very quickly. Ambience: Super cozy and cute environment. They have coloring sheets and board games for you to play, inviting you to stay a while and just enjoy your food and company. Also love the train theme decor and pictures because it's in a remodeled train depo. Over all: 9/10. Delicious cinnamon rolls and kind staff, not to mention a super cute and cozy environment.

Serving your standard espresso drinks from macchiatos to lattes, many of the drinks can be made hot or iced. There is even a seasonal menu for specialty purposes. Quiches are served either crusted or uncrusted with many unique options including one with turkey, cranberries and feta. Quiches can be served independent or with a side. I opted for the side of broccoli salad and it was phenomenal. The caramel latte was delicious as well and served with a lovely art design on top. Sweatshirts, pottery mugs, handmade cards, soaps, perfumes and more are available for purchase. Board games, stencils and puzzles are located near the bathrooms if you have little ones or are wanting to be in your child like element. Don't forget to sign the guest book near the register! I enjoyed my time on the exterior front porch as was in awe of all the patrons walking in and out. Looking forward to my next visit so I can try more of the pastries as the cinnamon rolls were calling my name. Bonus: There is a train that still runs near the back of the building so you will really be on theme if you get to see it go by. Enjoy!
