Came here on a whim after eating, before headed to MN. The coffee is great and the employees were very courteous. Wasn't sure what to get, but was suggested to try the monthly drink. Something with toffee and caramel, and while it sounded sweet, it's not. Very subtle. The young lady helping me said if I didn't like it I could get something else, but I am really enjoying the drink. The ambiance is really cozy and the decorations are very tasteful. read more

The atmosphere of this place is so cozy and homey. I loved it! The staff was all very friendly. This seems like a nice place for locals. I could see myself cozying up by the fireplace. My white chocolate mocha was just how I like it- sweet and creamy... yuuum I also ordered a BLT. It was good, but not worth $8.00 for the size of it. I love Caribou Coffee and was at the pet store and husband and I decided to give this coffee house a try. Walked in to a nice clean place. Menu was smaller than Caribou but had enough to choose from. I tried the Tumbleweed and my husband the mocha latte. His was good, nothing special. Mine though was horrible. I get that it has salted caramel and you put salt crystals on the top but holy moly, the drink was so salty I couldn't finish it. My husband that isn't as picky as normal people could not drink it either. For $6.00 for a medium size drink I was extremely unimpressed that I had to throw it away. So much so I do not want to try again. I regret not driving down to Caribou Coffee which was our original plan. I only recommend if you plan on maybe being disappointed. read more

Better, and worse, than Starbucks Cabin Coffee is a chain (small, Midwest based), that has a cabin/horsey thing going on inside instead of the urban chic that Starbucks has, but is otherwise fairly similar. They roast their own coffee in store, but honestly not all that well. Their food options are modestly better, but not that much Free wifi, has a gas fireplace and plenty of seating. Overall, like Starbucks, the overall deal is....meh. read more

I love Cabin Coffee; they make the best coffee around. I'm sad to leave a four-star review, when it should be five stars. But, there is a certain employee who likes to change the price of the coffees. Occasionally, I get a Palomino, it's one of their specialty drinks, and the price on the menu is $6.95. It's made with white coffee, white chocolate, and half-and-half. It is delicious, but very high in calories, so I only order it as a special treat. Three times now, I have been charged $8.05. But only when a certain employee is working. The rest of the time I get charged $6.95. I don't know if he's trying to make extra profit for his boss, or if he has pocketing the money. But if the ingredient price has increased to the point that the coffee cannot be made for the stated price, then the price on the menu should be increased, you can't just charge people more. read more

Wow. Taste was incredible, the coffee was being roasted as we took our order. The coffee we were drinking was freshly brewed a few hours before it was out of this world good. My granddaughter and I just stumbled upon this fantastic coffee place. We are semi local about 30 miles away and were just out bumming around. We both LOVE coffee and this place doesn't disappoint! I am known to be a coffee "snob" and it takes a lot to impress me but this find was off the hook great :). We both had a croissant sandwich and they were very tasty!! I tried the Tumbleweed hot coffee and she had a iced turtle brew. Very friendly service and unique, clean atmosphere. I would definitely recommend you try this Cabin Coffee Co, you won't be sorry. *Hours must change! Coffee is good, atmosphere is okay. The biggest problem is the hours. I never make it to see the "open" sign. It doesn't open early in the morning and is never open for a coffee after work as it closes at 5pm. We can never go get coffee after a movie because it closes even earlier on Saturday and an enjoyable cup of coffee on a Sunday afternoon is not an option cause it's closed all day. I think the coffee is good, that is why I want it to be open! read more

Oh Cabin Coffee. I'm torn! The drinks are great when they are made right, but there is too much variation from visit to visit. This is the closest thing to gourmet coffee as you are gonna get in Rice lake, but it's lacking a bit, and the prices are high. I adore the staff members and they always have a smile on their faces. I think the biggest problem is the hours of business. You close sooo early, earlier on SATURDAY, and not open on Sundays at all. Oh well, I'll be back for my next fix. Almost forgot! They have a pretty best rewards program where you can earn free drinks! Yippee! read more

Best (locally) roasted whole bean coffee. It is absolutely the freshest around here and therefore brews the best pot. We grind it at home right before brewing and hand filter through a cone filter or use a French press. Perfect cup-o-joe. Wish they were open on Sunday though read more
