Whenever I come home I come here for coffee and maybe a bite to eat. Staff is friendly and quick. They also have a drive thru. They have season drinks made up I believe by staff and of course all the coffee house classics.

My wife and I have really enjoyed Hope and Anchor CoffeeHouse! The coffee is amazing and the service is outstanding. They are so kind to all of their guests and make sure that everyone leaves with a memorable experience. The food can not be compared to anywhere in Chetek. Stop in and take a break from the cold by warming yourselves with a cup of great tasting coffee. You won't regret it!

So many great coffees and goodies!

Son and I stopped for drinks, but decided to eat lunch. We both had salads and they were delicious.

The drive thru is super convenient, but the real experience is relaxing inside or in the outside patio while live music plays.

It is a bit of a bittersweet story about my first Pine Ridge experience. My grandma grew up in this…read morearea, and this was her favorite place to get fried fish. She always talked about it and would eat here any time she was back in the area. I hoped to visit with her someday. She was supposed to go in July 2025 with some family, but was sick and not able to make the trip from her home in KC. Unfortunately she recently passed away, and our family gathered in Wisconsin for her memorial service. Pine Ridge was so gracious and accommodating and opened early for about 30 of us to visit and have grandma's favorite fried fish experience after we had her service. It was unbelievably good, and I now know why grandma loved coming to Pine Ridge all those years. Nothing better than being with family enjoying amazing food. The staff was so kind and accommodating, the restaurant was beautiful, and none of us left hungry. Until next time!

We've been loyal customers of Pine Ridge for over 10 years, which makes this review especially…read moredisappointing to write. We only visit a few times a year, since Pine Ridge is a highlight of our vacation spot, which made this visit even harder to swallow. The restaurant changed ownership recently, and based on this visit, that change has not been for the better. Things started oddly: before we'd even ordered, the host came to collect our menus, asking if we already knew what we wanted. We said yes since we're regulars, but in hindsight, that was the start of the problem. We then waited over two hours for our entrees. Our waiter explained they were slammed with large parties in the front room, the same parties who'd been given our menus, and who ordered and were served before us. We flagged down the owner about the wait. He called my mother-in-law "love" and said, "well, we're a very popular restaurant." When we mentioned we'd been coming for a decade and never experienced this, he replied, "if it only happens once in 10 years, that's not bad," adding, "at least your food will be fresh." It wasn't. The au gratin potatoes are usually a generous, reliable side but they arrived as a single small spoonful, looking unappetizing. The owner's explanation: "it's just missing a little paprika." The prime rib and green beans were cold, and the pork chop was overcooked. When we raised these issues with him again, he claimed he'd already apologized. He hadn't and we reminded him our menus had gone to the large parties, who got their food first. We understand restaurants have bad nights. But the owner's lack of respect and rudeness is why we won't be returning. Others may have a fine experience but if anything goes wrong, don't expect anyone to make it right. It'll feel more like "you get what you get."

The only thing odd was that the clam chowder was spicy - - I had my husband taste it in case my taste buds were tricking me, but he thought maybe they put tabasco in it?? The chicken alfredo is something we would not order again. The queen cut of prime rib was much larger than we anticipated and it was well-seasoned and tender. It's also really nice that they serve prime rib nightly, instead of other places that only offer it on Saturday nights. Our waitress was good through us getting our food and then disappeared; it took forever for us to get our bill and a to-go box so we could hit the road and move on with our night.

Our waitress (who ended up being the owner) sat us and we told her we'd like some water. After waiting another twenty minutes the rest of our party arrived and sat down. After waiting about ten minute we all went to the bar to see if we could coast get water. I saw our waitress and asked the bartender to direct her to our table. She came shortly after and took our order. We all ordered and another person in our party asked for water. My boyfriend then asked for extra tarter and lemon which never came with his food, my friend never got her water. We wouldn't have gotten drinks if we would t have gone to the bar ourselves to get them. Our food arrives and my prime was completely rare I sent it back and when it returned it looked microwaved and was 1000% well done. Zero pink in it all all. While my friends ate their food I ate my salad bar and auggies waiting for our waitress (who is the owner!!!!) but she was nowhere to be found. She finally came back and my firmed asked for her bill and I told her to please take my prime off of the bill because I hadn't taken a single bite of my microwaved overdone food. She said okay and walked away. After waiting another ten minutes my friends went yo the bar to look for a to go box for his food at the bar instead of waiting even longer for her. When she finally came back she refused to take the prime off, I offered to pay for the salad bar and potatoes I ate. She still refused and told us she was the owner and we didn't know what we were talking about and that we should just stay home insisted of coming back. GLADLY. If I could give zero stars I would.
