Unfortunately, this company's communication and appointment scheduling were very disappointing. Their roughly 3-star rating accurately reflects the level of customer service we experienced. We were kept waiting all day after an initial appointment window of 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. We later received a message saying they would be delayed past noon, but no updated arrival time was provided. I had an issue with my sewerage and drain pipe, so I called different companies for estimates. I'm very glad I chose Rooter Hero - they are truly heroes. David was the first who came and checked what was wrong and what needed to be done. I was pleasantly surprised to see him wearing disposable shoe covers. After diagnosing the issue, I asked if we needed a permit from the city. He not only suggested it but also explained why: the city would add a note in their system, and an inspector would come to ensure the job was done correctly. No other company mentioned the need for a permit, even when I insisted. The day came when those same heroes returned to do the job! Albert and Victor worked very hard all day to replace all the pipes under my house and finished the same day. A little later, Mickey and Martin arrived. Mickey handled the laundry connector, and Martin took care of the kitchen line. The entire team worked professionally and quickly, and they cleaned up everything after finishing the job. I wish I had read the reviews before calling Rooter Hero. While they were quick to send a tech, the experience left me disappointed. They charged a $79 service fee just to show up, then tried to upsell me with a $350 charge to open up drywall to "see the problem." After some negotiation and a pushed-on-me "first responder discount," I paid $154--only to be told I absolutely needed a new flange. The original verbal quote was over $3,000, later "discounted" to $2,000+, but they didn't even remove the toilet to confirm if the flange was necessary. The "senior" tech (who seemed eager to mention his title repeatedly) was personable, but the outrageous quotes felt like a tactic. I ended up calling another licensed plumber who replaced the wax seal, inspected the flange, and reinstalled the toilet--all for $190. Rooter Hero's friendly tech was overshadowed by what felt like a rip-off from their office. Save yourself the time and money--look elsewhere. Buyer beware! read more

I bought a shower head and some bathtub fixtures and since I wanted it done right, I called Rooter Hero. They said a technician will come to my house to provide an estimate at 9 AM on Monday. He finally showed up at 2 PM. He looked at my bathtub and the fixtures I had bought, said he would have to call the office... his estimate? To replace the shower head alone which I had already bought he was asking for $750!!!! If I wanted to dial to be replaced he said it'll be more. Rooter Hero is the best, end of story.... Ok a bit more: The techs assigned to our job were Angel and Josh who were exactly on time. They surveyed our back yard drainage problem and gave us three options for the resolve. I cannot begin to say enough about their level of knowledge, the quality of their work and they kept me informed every step of they. In addition they left the area just as clean and tidy as it was before they arrived. This will be a repost because I need to make sure I spread the word to the right company/people of the quick, reliable, and responsive service I got from this Plumbing company and more specifically, Anton - our plumber. Our kitchen sinks water pressure has been wonky for way too long and when we reached out to the city all they said was "the pressure is fine" when indeed - the pressure was not fine. On 2/9 - my spouse reached out to this company and by 2/11 - we were back up and running! Anton, our plumber, came in and within 5 minutes he fixed and explained the issue and now we're back with our kitchen sink working at full blast! Last year I had a water heater replaced and had it done to code. The work was good and it did pass inspection, Yet when I was doing my taxes I could not find the invoice to see if the water heater was energy efficient. I realized that once I received the invoice the model they installed was not what I paid for. To my dismay they put in a 6 year water instead of what I paid for which is a 10 year water heater. To the tune of $6829.49. I Contacted the company spoke to customer service representative he gave me a couple of email address to send what my concern regarding the water heater was . NO response. Called the following week and spoke to another customer service representative he gave me another name to contact via email . I was contacted by Teddy Madrid he called me in regards to the email he stated he would call me back that day with some indication as to what they were going fix the problem. NO Call back I sent a second request 10/20 via email for an update on this issue No response and I have basically been ghosted. This company COMMITTED FRAUD by charging for a 10 year water heater and installing a 6 year water heater. I contacted they're surety bond and plan to be contacting the CLSB to let them know what this company is doing. Word to the wise if you use them make sure you get what you pay for. This company is overpriced at least 3 times more than it should cost. I had them quote another job before I realized I had been SCAMMED on my water heater for the house to be re-piped what a joke they wanted to do the cold water lines for 25k using a product called PEX which is plastic when I asked about the hot water lines they told me it would cost more. Their sales person called me to sign to get the work done ,so they could keep their employees busy. To say the least a friend gave me a name of another company to re-pipe my home it was 15k and they used cooper pipes and did both the hot and cold water lines. read more

Had an issue with my salon shampoo bowl hardware last Thursday. Plumber came to my shop in about two hours. He came in and assessed the situation and then went back into his van for 30 minutes. I thought he was making his hardware compatible with the shampoo bowl or something to that affect. He came back in, quoted me $900 to be completed Saturday. I could have purchased an entirely new shampoo basin and chair for less than that. I said no thanks. Anyway, I ordered parts on Amazon Thursday afternoon for $70 and they arrived Friday AM around 7:30am. Put them in myself in 20 minutes. read more

Scammers! They will charge you with ridiculous fee just to do estimate. The fee, they say, will be credited towards the total cost if you decided to use their service. The catch: they will give you a ridiculous charge that will cost you your entire life savings for minor work. Their hourly labor cost is higher than the lawyers and doctors, at around $500 per hour. If you decline their service, they just made $45 estimate fee. Not bad for a 10 minute work without really doing anything Multiply this by 20 times in one day, each time providing ridiculous estimate, and they just made $900 in one day without doing anything and by just driving around. Stay away from this company. For minor work, just hire a handyman who could really use your pay for an honest work instead of these professional scammers! read more

I just had a gentleman here from router hero, and I could not be more pleased with the proposal. I received to clear all of the drains around my home. I was highly impressed with the technician, Robbie Juarez; not only was he extremely knowledgeable, but he also could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. Two technicians will be coming to my home shortly to use a vast Hydro - jetter that will hopefully be able to break through the tree branches and all of the debris that we have to clear out. I called Rooter Hero about a slow-flowing drain, planning to use their $77.00 advertised offer. They ran a camera and replaced a water supply tap that was fine when they arrived. Several hours later, I ended up with multiple quotes, (the highest over $60,000.00), the same problem they were called to fix, and a bill for approximately $1200.00. After many phone calls this was eventually negotiated to about $360.00, and they promised to forward me camera evidence of work they deemed necessary to remedy the slow flow. That evidence was never sent. Another plumber fixed the issue for a few hundred dollars and provided a very different interpretation of camera "evidence". Yes, some day this MIGHT require a more expensive fix, maybe, someday. read more

Never call that company! They will act like your best friend and then charge you more than double what any other plumber would charge. They supposedly attempted to cable out the main sewer line, but said that they cannot get it to clear. They came back with an other technician to inspect the drain with a camera and guess what, the screen turns black so they have to use the hydro jetter to solve the problem. They call again the dispatching, $1,999 to unclog the main drain with the hydro jetter. After negotiation I accepted $1,615. It take them 15 minutes all in to unclog the drain. read more

Never use this plumbing service due to their plumbers' dishonesty who are worse than a lying car mechanic who changes unnecessary parts to rip people off. The Rooter Hero plumber who came to assess the leak, didn't even try to look at the leak to figure out what caused it, and instead he immediately claimed that the issue is in the wall, and it would be a big job that will cost up to $20,000 where he has to tear down the wall and re-pipe the system to copper. Rooter Hero is truly a crooked outfit! Ironically, another plumber from another company came out and fixed the leak within seconds without the need to acquire loans and destroy walls. "Caveat emptor." "Rooter hero" should change its name to "Wily Rooter." read more

STAY AWAY TO AVOID BEING CHEATED! My drain was clogged with roots and the joint was fractured. Rooter Hero came out quickly, snaked and showed me pictures. They charged over $300 without even clearing the drain!!! The quote to do the repair was nearly $10,000!!! I got two more estimates and found a good plumber who will do the job at a cost of $4200. Then assessment was $73. Meanwhile Rooter Hero contacted me everyday and with the final price going down to $4800. They would have taken $10,000 from a single Mom when by their estimate it was eventually $4800 Job. That's called price gauging and taking advantage. Couldn't reach clog, came back 8 am Monday (thank you) and sold me a new clearing drain outside to remedy issues.
