Did they have a lot of fun. YUP. Depending on where you are coming from its up the hill right as you enter hill country off of 290 from south austin. If you are coming from the west off 290 its headed towards south austin about 20min from Dripping Springs a few min past Belterra strip mall food area. Plenty of parking. Lots of seating on a Sunday around 12noon ish Thanksgiving weekend. No time limit on doing your chosen art. I tried glass making for the 1st and it was fun and challenging l. Instructions by the staff very useful! Friendly. Helpful. Welcoming. We each chose something different. Plenty of items small, med or large to chose from. Pottery comes with whatever pain you want, glass area there are easy and complex projects. You pay, they fire/bake the pieces and you show up about a week later to grab your pieces. We each got something around 40.00 or under. Time flew by. We were there for maybe 2.5hrs. My teens were not on their phones once. Engaged, creative, good family time. We learned to use the wheel, the process that happens afterwards and then you practice detachment by leaving your piece and choosing 1-2 others to take home! It's a bit challenging at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's incredibly fun and even a little therapeutic. The class was paced perfectly, so I never felt rushed and had plenty of time to practice. The atmosphere was another big plus. Everyone was friendly, and it felt more like a relaxed, creative hangout than a formal class. It made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Glazing the pieces was such a fun final step, and seeing the finished product after firing was so satisfying. I tried a one time class (3 hours) in the winter and made a snowflake and it made me want to try more classes out and learn how to do bigger pieces- and they have a lot of class variety and dates. I did their 6 week copper foil class and then a 4 week stained lead class. Kris and Lisa are both amazing instructors! I learned so much utilizing the two different techniques, and they're so helpful and knowledgable- always making themselves available to answer any questions you have. You can also use the workshop space outside of class time if you signed up for the 4 or 6 week classes (call ahead and make sure no other classes are going on). I haven't been able to do any fusing classes yet but I hear from everyone who has taken any that they're so fun. They also do repairs and sell stained glass pieces inside- They got it all!

I was hot with brutal honesty on what I could manage and the person helping me even kept me in a low to mid range budget. My starry eyes wandered to plants that were going for $60+ but I was able to walk out of there with... 2 small plants Medium bag of soil A jar of local HONEY, yum! My fiancée was excited to treat me to some replacement plants from the store that stated it all and got me a gift card. We drove up to Plant Party last weekend and were shocked to find out that the brick and mortar store that used to be there is completely empty. This was pretty confusing to us because the website said absolutely nothing about this status of the store changing. Neither do any of their social media platforms. We drove home disappointed and my fiancée reached out to the store owner to ask about how we could get our plants because my store gift card was for the in-person store. We were informed that we could either get a refund or use the credit on the gift card towards the online store. Unfortunately, the options on the site were pretty limited and the store online has a 75 dollars order limit, which was more than we were intending to spend (hence the 50 dollar gift card). As such, my partner decided to reach out again to try and get her refund. It has been several days and several attempts of contacts later and we have heard nothing. So my partner has filed a claim with her credit card company. To say we are extremely disappointed with the service is an understatement. We really had such fond memories of Plant Party prior to this, but this entire situation has definitely soured our opinion. Update: We have still not received our refund, and we were never communicated with that the refund would be going through until I posted this review. I feel like there is a general struggle with communication. I understand that business close and go, but based off of their social media and the website, one would not think that the store was closed and that led to multiple issues on our end. We drove all the way to Austin to try and support a business we both enjoyed just to find an empty store. Clarity would have been greatly appreciated.
