We are traveling through on our way back East & stopped here for dinner. Our family of 5 ordered a variety of things off the menu. Everything came out to our liking except my steak. I had ordered medium/well and it was undercooked. We sent it back to the kitchen & it came back well done due to some miscommunication. I went there for the first time in a while. It was generally the same experience - cozy, mildly loud, doodles and a separate menu available for my kid. However, the prices have increased probably 20% or so. It was unexpected and we had to leave, but I hope the food quality would have been better than the last time we dined there. read more

I see them every time I pass through Pendleton and it was recommended I give them a try for breakfast. So on our way back home my son and I stopped for a bite to eat. The restaurant was very clean and had a great vibe to it. I ordered coffee and my son had a got chocolate while we decided what to get. The food came fast, which was surprising given the place was packed. I had the biscuits and gravy meal and my son got the French toast breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were delicious and the bacon and eggs were spot on. The bacon though-they didn't skimp on the quality of the meat. It was thick cut and had plenty of meat on each slice. My son's French toast was amazing. It was crusted rather than your typical fried French toast and it was tasty. Overall the meals were great and the portions were big. The coffee was so-so, but it could've just been the particular pot I drank from. Either way, I'll gladly come back. read more

We visited this restaurant 06/15/16, for breakfast, while in Pendleton. Service was good, but their breakfast wasn't too good. My chicken fried steak was too well done, my husband's hash browns were also too well done, crispy. Will not be going back. read more

Best food from Hood River Or to Twin Falls Id that we found ! Saved our trip coming back, best meal of the trip, comfortable seating, decent staff. Just wish out server checked on us a few more times than she did, but all was good. read more

Great food and great service. Everyone loved what they ordered which included fried chicken, steak, burger, and fettuccine Alfredo. Our waitress was outstanding. Only thing I'm sad about is that we aren't local! Will definitely come back next time we are in Pendleton. read more

We were looking forward to roosters from way out of town when we started seeing signs that said "homemade entrees daily" we ordered macaroni and cheese for the kids, it was nothing more than blue box mac n cheese. The rest of the food was good and the little guys did like getting the ice cream out of the little barn. Giving 3 stars. read more

Roosters claim to make food homemade, which to me, anyone claiming false advertisement would make a strong case. 100% certain its not homemade, just another Dennys with a barnyard twist. Disappointed. Flavorless. Waste of money and time. read more

Every restaurant can be hit-and-miss and occasionally be a little off their game. I ordered a Burger dip with curly fries. The burger was acceptable, the dipping sauce was actually very tasty, but the curly fries had developed that semi stale toughness that told you they were probably not at peak freshness. C'mon guys, potatoes are cheap, rotate your fries a little more often. read more

A fun place to stop for a quick lunch. Great food and terrific service! Very fresh ingredients. Enjoyed their famous chicken noodle soup, and grilled turkey bacon sandwich. This was superior to other turkey grilled sandwiches we've had as the turkey was oven roasted on site. We will definitely return when in this area again. read more

I'm not too picky about breakfast. I want decent portions and well-executed standard food. I got them both here. My wife had the pancakes and eggs - made with fresh blueberries; she couldn't eat all the cakes. They were excellent. I had traditional bacon and eggs. Bacon was perfect, as were the eggs. Hah browns were too large to finish. All in all, a perfect breakfast place for me. read more

My husband, my over 20 yrs old son and I stopped here on the way back from Idaho. My son and I both ordered chicken fried steak. It is one of my fav's. It took along time to get our meal. When we were finally served it was cold. The chicken fried steak had a funny taste. After we were finished eating my husband complained about the meal. The wait staff would do nothing to compensate us. When we got out side my son began to throw up. He had his head out the window. I puked also. We went back and were told the manager would call us tomorrow to work things out. She called and gave us the number to the health dept. I would recommend to avoid this place like the plague. read more

The service was good, but the food was not. The kid's strawberry pancakes had fake whip cream and frozen strawberries; my kids would not eat them. The bacon was hard and there was no flavor to it. The coffee was disgusting at $2.50 a cup. It is no more than a chain restaurant and that is the type of food you will get. read more

This is the fourth in my review series of the restaurants in Pendleton. I have eaten here twice and both times was a lot less than impressed. I hate to rate a business in my home town so low, but my experience has been bad. The service both times wwas terrible. After we were seated, it was almost like we were forgotten. When the food finally arrived half of it was cold. The first time I chalked it up to them being busy, but the second time of the same type of service and food, I realized it was their way of doing business. They just seem very indifferent towards their customers. We won't be returning. read more

Traveling with my daughter from Reno to Spokane. Stopped at Roosters because of the great looking menu and gluten free options. We passed many other Restaurants so we could eat at this particular place. We arrived VERY hungry. I ordered Asian salad and my daughter orderd Fajita melt on gluten free bread. We waited 45 minutes! The people around us finished their meals paid and left before our food came! Our waitress came ONE time and said it would be right up, that was 15 minutes ago! The salad was just marginally OK and the sandwich had very little chicken or fajita on it, mostly bread! She was still hungry. We went and got more food at the store so we could continue on our trip without wasting anymore time. The waitress offered another order and I told her, "are you kidding, we have 4 more hours to drive! We can't wait another 45 minutes for food! Oh yea, the bill was $25.00!
