We just tried out Rooster's for the first time today and we were not disappointed! The deep fried Mac n cheese was delicious! Our server gave us the cheese sauce instead of the normal sour cream for dipping, and it was AH-mazing! We got one order of boneless wings and one order of traditional, and both were very good! I will say that the traditional wings were quite oily and had a ton of breading, I enjoyed that but it did make it different than your stereotypical transactional wing. The boneless wings were some of the best I've ever had, so I cannot recommend those enough! The prices are so great, the service was fantastic, we will most definitely be back! read more

Not impressed. This was our first visit to any Rooster's and I don't think we'll be back. Three of us ordered wings...2 orders of boneless and 1 of traditional. And a pizza. Our son loved his pizza, so that was the highlight. The boneless wings didn't have enough sauce on them for us. The traditional wings were very large, but the Honey BBQ sauce was very bland. Really awesome sports bar in the Bowling Green area. The entire restaurant is clean and you usually don't have to wait too long to get a table. Most people come for the wings, and they most definitely don't fall short of any expectations. The skin is crispy and all of their sauces are delicious. What an interesting restaurant. Walking in, I wasn't sure to expect. The atmosphere is very casual and friendly, but it also has a weird TGIFriday knockoff vibe. I almost walked out, but I'm glad I stayed. The waitress was super friendly, and suggested the tater tots with cheese and bacon. Not that it took a lot of prodding, but I'm glad I made that choice. They were some of the crispiest, tasty, golden tots that I've ever had. The cheese sauce had a bit of a kick to it, that was unexpected by certainly welcome as it made them extra memorable. I also ordered a fried chicken sandwich, and didn't get the usual frozen fried slab. This was a clearly fresh chicken that was fried in their own batter and served on a delicious roll. We were just passing through as we traveled back home. We have Roosters back home and it's not really our go to. However, we had our dog and this was one of the only places that allowed dogs on the patio; so we gave it a shot. The 2 stars is because of the filth. We waited about 15 mins for someone to bus this table where apparently children who were truly raised in a barn had just eaten. The server wiped the table the best she could but just wiped it on the ground. I get it that a patio is not expected to be as clean as inside. I love roosters food, I eat at local locations often and never have bad service, however we had bad service at this location. The food was still decent but the service was not, bringing the overall experience way down. I guess too many servers were cut early and they got a late rush, which is understandable as long as that information is communicated and the server is still providing the best possible service. However after being seated and waiting several minutes our server came over with a crappy attitude and said "what do you all want to drink" no smile, no hey, hi, how are you, no this is my name and I'll be taking care of you, just what do you want to drink. That was the vibe of the entire service provided :-|. Looking at that list I can't imagine what took nearly 45 minutes to prepare. The place wasn't close to full. I'd say 1/4 of the tables or less were occupied. We decided to try roosters last night as we've never been Inside the restaurant before as we order takeout the first time we tried it. The food at most was mediocre we thought the prices were cheap however when you see the quality of the food you know why. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich and my daughter had chicken fingers -fries don't come with anything so they had to order those separate , I had 10 chicken wings naked which means no coating on them-we also ordered onion petals, homemade potato chips, and fried pickles for appetizers. When we walked in the place was packed and we thought there was going to be a waiting line but the lady told us that we could sit ourselves so we picked a table that hadn't been cleaned yet and I had to ask one of the waitresses to clean it. We were then told by our waitress that their soda machine was out and they had no water but we could have iced tea sweet or unsweetened so the three of us got ice tea. The service was quite fast my homemade chips were ice cold and tasted like someone sprinkled garlic salt on them they were soggy too and chewy-not what I expected from the description in the menu. The onion petals we good and you got quite a bit of those and the only reason my daughter ended up with fried mushrooms -which looked and tasted delicious was because they were out of fried pickles. When our meals came out my husband had a huge piece of chicken on his sandwich with one slice of lettuce and one slice of tomato my daughter got a whole bunch of huge chicken tenders but they were breaded not what I expected breaded they look like I could've made them at home but my daughter said they were good in my chicken wings? They came out dressed And the waitress noticed before I did that I had ordered themI naked and she took them back then came out to tell me that they were gonna be 15 minutes until my chicken wings were done so my husband and daughter,needless to say had finished their meals before my wings even came to the table which is why they only got two stars from us. We came to this restaurant after a long day. As we entered, there were 4 hostesses standing around at the front. They didn't greet us until I said something. Then, they told us just sit wherever. Hmmm... we sat at a booth that was fairly clean. We waited about 10 minutes for someone to greet us. It was the manager Shaq. He looked about 22. I was told he was 28. He needs some manager skills. The manager is not there to be friends with his employees. He is there to earn money for the owners. Anyways, he got us our drinks. Afterward, Jessica our waitress approached us. She was a delight. Very attentive but overworked. Her job, so it appeared, was to be waitress and busboy to several tables. She was overworked. Again, the 4 hostesses now has their butts to the entryway and any new customers. They were looking at their phones. At one point, there were no hostesses and people were there waiting to be seated! The place was dirty. No one in a restaurant business should EVER be standing around. The food was decent bar food and did what it was supposed to do. The drinks were also good but hard to mess up bottled drinks. Happy that we had Jessica as our server. Shaq was a nice gentleman but needs to up his game if he wants to continue in this field. Rarely do we find a restaurant where my entire family is pleased, especially since having Vegan and Vegetarian options is required for myself. Absolutely recommend the veggie burger! My partner and children loved the wings and the pizza. The service was on point and the amount of food for the money is almost unheard of. For a family of 4 we usually spend a lot more to satisfy everyone. We're not from the area but next time we visit or drive through bowling green we will definitely make a stop. Two of us arrived just before 6pm on a Sunday and was promptly told to take whatever seats we wanted. Server arrived quickly and took our drink orders, which were delivered quickly. Not being very hungry, we both ordered the chicken salad, my spouse the grilled chicken, and I ordered the fried chicken. After a little over 20 minutes, two salads arrived, but both were grilled chicken. Pointing this out to the server, she apologized and said she would get me a fried chicken strip. By the time the fried chicken strip arrived, I was done with my salad. Should give you an idea about the additional wait. But let's go back to the grilled chicken both of us received. It was overcooked to say the least. Burnt and dry. Why would the chef even serve that chicken. Come to think about our wait, maybe this wasn't the first try, but that is only speculation. Either way, the chef didn't help out the server by having her serve these meals. Bottom line, I don't recommend Rooster's if you plan on getting the grilled or fried chicken salad. It's as if the founders of this restaurant said, "Let's do Hooters, but without the short shorts and the tight cleavage shirts" and you would have Roosters. From the blonde wooden furniture to the snarky messages on their signs, Roosters is a PG version of the PG-13 Hooters. Hooters wings are my favorites (I know, saying you like Hooters wings is like saying you read Playboy for the articles) but it's true! Roosters wings aren't quite as good but they're better than BWW. They have a good crunchy breading on the wings. I got the Hot version which gave you heat without giving you tears or pain. We ordered the onion petals which were perfectly fried. My wife had the fried chicken salad. The chicken was hand battered and delicious. Even Hooters is trying to focus on their food with the Hoots concept. It was nice and clean, very busy too. The food was cheap too. Lots of stuff on the menu. They had jalapeño poppers with cheese inside. Which I never had seen done before.
