Stuffed tilapia

Searching for highly rated seafood restaurants in the area, this place comes up. Clearly a local favorite as we arrived at 3:30pm and the place was very busy. We were seated immediately and as we are led to our table, it is very noticeable that the napkins are a roll of paper towels hanging from a clothes hanger over each table. I am a very picky seafood eater so was disappointed that a lot of the dishes were served with crab and ended up with a chefs salad. Very tasty. It is obviously a local favorite so if your looking for seafood, I'd recommend.

Crabby patties so good and the sauce

It had been at least 2 years since I have been here. We use to love coming on Sundays. I got the salmon Oscar and it is still good. They have outdoor seating, big inside seating and good parking. It kind of has an old smell in there, but food and service is good.

Swordfish with green beans and side of shrimp

This is a solid seafood place with very reasonable drink prices. My NA Chardonnay was only $4! Our server Chantell was amazing and not just because she complimented how nicely I cleaned off the oysters Rockafelllers! She was very attentive and friendly with our table. And she did very well with our custom orders. The food is decent. I split a swordfish blackened with my husband, and we also had green beans and a side of grilled ahrimp to go with my salad. The shrimp didn't taste as grilled as I was hoping, and was more buttery. But the swordfish was nice and flavorful. I also sampled some of my other guests entrees and they were tasty as well. My favorite was the cedar plank salmon which in hindsight I wish I would have gotten, but I'll know that for next time. I would recommend this place, especially if you're in the mood for some inexpensive drinks. Unfortunately I'm not much of a drinker, but it's good to see us NA folks don't get left behind.

shrimp burger with coleslaw and mashed sweet potatoes

This was our first time visiting this local favorite spot. Something I noticed right away was the booths were a bit worn and I quickly sunk into the seat. Our waitress was very animated and attentive. We tried the hush puppies which were very bland. For entrees we got a shrimp burger which was tasty but not much shrimp on a big bun. The mashed sweet potato was not something I'd order again but the slaw was tasty. And blackened snapper with seasonal veg and red potatoes.

Our server Chantel took great care of us. Party of 5. 2 Lobster rolls 2 Scallop dishes 1 Grilled Grouper 1 Peel and eat shrimp We had a lovely back round table away from the noise of the restaurant which allowed our hearing impaired folks to enjoy conversations! The food- Overall we went with 4 stars The highlights were the Grilled Grouper was cooked perfectly and the grilled asparagus was nice and crispy not overcooked, the peel and eat shrimp was also very good however I did not taste the bay seasoning that was mentioned. Our entire party are New England transplants so the Lobster rolls are something we are as a rule particular about, we look for light mayo, almost non existent a grilled and buttered roll and a nice serving size. These were very heavy on the mayo, and a pretty small portion size, and it had lettuce and celery...Theroll was grilled nice and the flavor was on point however. Both scallop dishes were drowned in the butter sauce which was excessive and ended up being a detractor to the dish, more isn't always better, both of those agreed it was good enough to return but would try another menu item next visit. We had a good time, the service we received from Chantel was great we will return and I would rate this a "Safe Bet" prices are reasonable and the food is pretty good!

It was PACKED when we showed up (on a Thursday around 6pm). 99% of the customers were senior citizens so I was a bit concerned. However, the food was out of this world!! We waited about 30 minutes for our table and it was worth it. The lobster roll, coco lada shrimp, crab legs and island shrimp were all 10/10. Our waitress was Chantell and she was an absolute dream.

Mahi mahi with mango salsa, sweet potato mash, steamed vegetables.

I LOVE the fried coconut-crusted tilapia with the fantastic cranberry-horseradish sauce on the side. My new favorite. Sweet potato mash is delicious. Steamed green beans perfect, and I appreciate my server telling me I can request it without the added garlic butter.

While at the beach we started to get hungry so me and my princess decided to grab an early dinner after a day of long travel and the hotel receptionist said " go eat outside at the sandbar!" Brianna was our server and was amazing ! She made my little one a Shirley temple which she loved and kept the cold beers coming for me . We ordered shrimp cocktail for appetizers and wings then I decided on the grouper sandwich with a side salad and fries and mini cheeseburger sliders and fries for my little one. We enjoyed our view of the ocean and stayed after we ate and got to see dolphins swimming near by. We will definitely be having lunch here a few more times before we leave. Fish is fresh caught and so good I'm already thinking about dinner lol ! 10/10!

We had drinks to start; my 20 year old and 16 year old had soda. Wife had a Coroner and I have the spicy jalepeno margarita. All was great! We did not get apps, but there are lots of choices. For mains I had the Birria tacos with onion rings. One daughter had the same. Great taste, but if I had to do it over I would get a side of salad or coleslaw as it was a lot of fried on my plate. That said, finished it all! My other daughter had the chicken Cesar salad and loved it. Chicken was very tasty. My wife had the grouper basket. She thought it was tasty and hit the spot. Service was not bad but not great. Just not friendly. Overall a great stop. Be prepared you are outside and if the weather turns you are on the hook. Also, no reservations so first come first serve! Go. Here.

I have to update my review to leave a few notes about some substandard items I crossed off my list…read morefrom this place. I've had their Rueben, their Philly (of which I wrote previously), as well as their slaw. We (Queen Bee mainly) also crossed, much to my own chagrin, their Rueben rolls off our collective list. Fried pickles: same. Philly, as I stated elsewhere, was an abomination. Roll was awful, flavor was a bit bland and the whole thing just didn't come together. A Philly should be overflowing with chopped, well mixed ribeye, cheese and grilled veggies. I don't like peppers on my Philly, I tolerate shrooms and love grilled onions. This thing missed the mark on all categories. I sent it back. Rueben: small mountain of corned beef was way too salty and took away from the overall flavor and quality of the sandwich. Swiss of mediocre quality too. Like the Philly: sent it back. Blech! Rueben Rolls: sane as the Rueben itself: just wrapped in an egg roll wrapper and fried to death. This interpretation is a lil more flavorful as the ratio of ingredients is better balanced. Again: salty corned beef took away from what otherwise wouldn't be a bad app. Fried pickles: also way too salty. A pickle slice in and of itself is briny enough so added sodium is hardly needed or necessary. Someone back there seems kinda heavy handed with the salt shaker. That's why when I ask for fries there I tell 'em no salt. They use Cajun seasoning on their fries, I was told. Thanks by no thanks. Slaw, meanwhile: too dry. Cabbage and carrot seemed fresh enough, but the amount of dressing in it was minimal. As a result, it can be a lil hard to swallow. Add more dressing and they can solve it easily. I added a lil of the Queen Bee's ranch to it and that helped some. While I won't totally go for broke and bash this lil place, I have come to the conclusion that I won't waste my time trying any more of their sandwiches, which makes up for a large part of their menu. Each of 'em thus far has been underwhelming, so why should I try another? When I go out I wanna be overwhelmed in a positive way: both food as well as experience. We still go because we like the barkeeps and I like the cold beer, happy hour prices and the zillion TV's. We've always been treated very nicely there (we always sit at the bar: either indoor or outdoor depending on the day). All I'd say to keep it totally fair: I would limit myself to simple burgers and only a few of their apps. Why? I'm afraid to say I think they emphasize quantity over quality with much of their menu. We've been there enough times to know what we like and call it a day. If I could offer any positive thoughts to readers here, it would be to explore what intrigues you and go from there. One's own subjectivity often differs from that of the next fella.

There are about a dozen bar-seats that have backs, which is more relaxing to me. The rest of the room has table seating for around 30. There's two or three 2-seat high-top tables out front. And there's even some outdoor seating for around 20 in a little triangular patio on the side. The decor is casual, with racks of oak barrels in the front, and lots of cool artwork on the walls. There's brewing equipment in the back, and some of the seating is right next to it. And they had an apparently unscheduled improv comedian out on the patio on a friday night (Jan 2026). They were great! And the audience was a good group, too :-) Beverage-wise, and the selection of beers change constantly, so look on the board for the new ones and the ones that are almost gone. We had to get a fun Fra-gee-lay golden lager from the Almost-Gone list. It's a luscious medium-light-flavor beer named for the Major Award in Jean Shepherd's Christmas Story film. We chose a sour, Astral Reign, blueberry with blood orange and some flavor or marshmallow. It was a great taste, plenty of sour balanced with grain, and sweetness smoothed out by light marshmallow. We loved that, so we also got an enormous can of that sour! And someone in our group got a decent red cabernet ... in a brewpub ... sheesh. Well, it tasted better than the house cab at many places! It was busy this Friday evening, with enough seating that we walked right in. This place is easy to get to, in the northeast corner of a strip mall on E. Bay at Starkey, and there's plenty of parking. There's a fridge next to the bar with beers to go. We love these beers! We love this brewpup-alehouse!
