I'm giving 4 stars for the price ($8 to thread eyebrows!) and the quick friendly service. I usually go to a different place but Roop was convenient for me that day and I found them on Yelp. The woman who threaded me did a good job getting the exact shape I wanted (just a clean up, straight brow, no high arch, and not any thinner) so I'm happy with my brows. However I had to take off 1 star due to the fact that I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for 3+ years and I would say I know how my skin reacts pretty well. Once she was done threading and put aloe Vera on, I felt immediate stinging on my skin (my skin is pretty resilient and this has never happened before Roop). The next day there are little red welts/scabs below my eyebrow on my eyelid area. I'm happy with the work in general but could do without the pain! read more

Came here because it had really great reviews and I live close by so I decided to try it out. When I walked in, the lady who worked there (Pam) was asleep on the chairs next to me. She woke up shortly after I walked in and asked me what I needed. I asked her a few questions about the price of things after she woke up and she seemed very cranky and somewhat annoyed...and when she started threading she was not polite at all. When she needed me to turn my head or hold my eyelid and the top of my brow when she was threading she gave me more of a command than a polite, "could you please...". All in all I'm never coming here again. My eyebrows ALSO came out somewhat uneven. So don't waste your time coming here. read more

May want to call ahead to confirm someone is there before doing a "walk-in." I was disappointed today when I drove over during their listed business hours and the door was locked and no one was there. I presume they may have been at lunch, but they don't list a lunch hour so I assumed it would be fine. Didn't want to wait since I had no idea how long it would be. Unfortunately, this was the second time I've gone there and no one was there when I arrived. That being said, when I have been able to get my eyebrows done, I've been happy with the results. I needed a clean up ASAP and decided to check this place out. Quick easy in and out. It's a clean big place. During my visit, there were only two workers on site. One person was working on someone and the second person was behind the counter. She greeted me and had me sign in, then proceeded to have me sit in a chair. My brows were a huge mess and definitely needed a clean up. I told her specifically I wanted a clean up with a bit more arch, and not too thin (I notice when I don't tell them this, they always make my eyebrows super thin. At any place). She was quick. It felt a little painful but I notice she seemed to try to be precise and clean. I felt she was even getting little individual hairs I had. I liked her precision. Very quiet and clean here. I was in and out within ten minutes. Aside from that, it was quick and clean. She did as I requested. This place is a little bit more than my regular place. If I need another clean up ASAP, I may come back here. But I'll stick to my regular and not lag on my eye brows next time :) read more

Came here last night about 45 minutes before they closed for an eyebrow cleanup and sides. I didn't do my eyebrows/sides for about 2 months since the previous place I used to go to left one of my eyebrows super thin and they took of more hair than needed on one my sides. I thought it was going to hurt since it had been a while but Kamala really knows what she is doing! My experience here was amazing, thanks to Kamala!! She was really nice and would ask if I was doing okay. She even offered to stop for a bit to give me a little break from the pain but I was okay. Such amazing customer service! I had just gotten my hair done at Paul Mitchell and didn't feel like driving to Newport Beach to Perfect Brows and stumbled upon this place. First time and not sure if I'll ever come back to this place at this point. Got a 3 inch long pretty bad cut under my cheek which I didn't noticed it while at the place as she quickly handed me the mirror at the end of my session. When I got home, it started to burn and sting and then I saw the long bumpy burning bloodshot area below my cheek. I felt it was carelessness on the girl who was working on me. She was ripping thru and not being careful at all. Besides the cut, I also noticed she ripped a chunk of my lower lashes and I now have a bold spot on my bottom lash line as well. (This review is for the threader that is at chair #2) I went in for a brow thread and was very happy with the end result (shape was great). However, I felt like each of the hairs was threaded individually, which was so uncomfortable. A good threader threads with quick, easy sweeps. As a result, I was left with little red welts (if that makes sense) where the hairs were removed. I do not have sensitive skin, in fact, it's quite resilient when it comes to harsh treatment. It stung to the touch and was frustrating to deal with for a couple of days. I'll be back because it's a good location and I'm a sucker for not having to drive far, but I won't be going to her. Update: I've gone back two times since the first time and the owner (I think) did my brows. They looked great and it wasn't painful. read more

So I have been to Roop Threading Salon probably over 10 times. At the salon, the women here definitely know how to thread eyebrows. I can appreciate that all the women who work here, all thread eyebrows the same way. This is pretty much the only salon I will go to if I need my eyebrows threaded. Another thing is that I have been waxed here a few times (down below), and if I have to say anything about that - is that I've started looking for other places to get waxed. At the end of the day though, this is my go to eyebrow threading place. The women here are always really nice, I like threading - and the price is really fair. I think it costs like $8 to get your brows done, so cheap. Another thing is that there is a ton of parking here, which is nice. This salon is also located conveniently next to a market and restaurants in case you want to do other things after getting your eyebrows done. I would recommend this place because it's so cheap and they do a really good job on eyebrows. read more

So I'm always willing to give different threading a salon a chance, and with this chance, I am glad I visited. The lady who threaded my eyebrows was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a lot closer than Nanu, whom I usually go to. The pricing is fair and is $1 cheaper than Nanu and $3 cheaper than Ziba's (I think it was $11 the last time I visited Ziba's.) However, the upper lip threading is $5 compared to Nanu's $4, which is fine and offsets the eyebrows. If you're getting both eyebrow and upper, than the price comes out to be about the same. If you only get eyebrows, than Roop is the obv choice to why you would want to visit. Roope's salon is freshly new and definitely clean. Must visit if you don't have a favorite threading salon! read more

Today was my first time. I actually noticed this shop within the several times I've been in the plaza to get Tasteas a few doors down but never went in until today. I really needed my eyebrows done and did a quick check on yelp. I was happy to see so many great reviews. So I took the chance and went in. I was there around 11am (Wed.). No wait time. The shop is simple, clean, and quite spacious. Tika took me, asked me a few simple questions about my exp. with threading and if I had any preferences for how I wanted it done or shaped. All I knew was that I wanted it more natural, and she got to work right away. Took no longer than 5-7 minutes for me, and I felt no discomforts. She gave me a hand mirror to check right after and make sure I was satisfied. Then she gestured to an array of bottles on her station to see if I wanted anything applied afterwards (Aloe Vera gel, lotion, etc.), which I politely declined. Never been happier to see such clean, beautifully threaded brows. (Thank you, Tika!) $8, and I love that they do stamp cards. This place is fairly new. I was initially skeptical but my boyfriend spotted the place & said it was inexpensive. $8 brow, $5 upper lip! Kamala (not sure of spelling) provided my service and she did an awesome job! She listened to what kind of brow I was looking for as I had some patchy areas and did not want her to really touch that area so that hair could grow in. She also fixed the shape of the brows so they looked more symmetrical. She asked if I was ok the entire time and was sooo gentle! The upper lip was obviously a little more painful but better than other threading places. Highly recommend for the price.
