I went to the market for some fresh baked bread and bagels. While I was there, I was persuaded to purchase a vegan sandwich and some organic vegetables. I had to stop myself because there were quite a bit of other things that caught my eye too. The market is set up right below the highway and was very easy to get to. There is a public parking lot right next to it as well as lots of street parking. I found the Instagram page for the market and the website to be very helpful and informative with information like times, vendors and explanations on how to arrive. All of this adds up for a uniquely Baltimore experience with something for everyone.

I mostly come with my husband to get produce but we've also gotten breakfast there and very well thought out pastries. You can get duck eggs sometimes and eggs from 2 or 3 vendors. If kettle corn is your thing, also something to pick up. The openness of the market and the friendliness of the veggies both edible and non is what makes us keep coming back. They are busy growing food, educating youth, partnering with community organizations, and bringing more real food to Northeast Baltimore. I was invited to check out the Mission Thrive program for HS students. I was in shock how much land they have and how much food they are growing! I forgot to take pictures! Sorry. ya'll! You find their Mobile Farmer's Market at the Waverly Market on Saturdays. Also, I am looking forward to finally having a place to send my compost (free!). In Philadelphia, my corner had a urban farm but you had to pay in order to drop off you compost. Although this is not on my corner, it is better than nothing. What I appreciated most about the cinnamon raisin pretzel was its freshness and the fact that it wasn't overly sweet. The original pretzel had just the right amount of salt, which was great. We didn't care for the pecan caramel pretzel much. The pecans were a bit too toasted and it lacked caramel. The orangeade was delicious!
