My efforts to have Roofmasters and Masonry complete the work we paid for has been a nightmare. I see now why they have gone from 4-5 stars to 3.5. Since we moved into our house, there has been a leak in the roof in our unfinished attic area. Additionally the attic vent fan stopped working. We received a reasonable quote to have the fan replaced and the leak repaired. That was in November 2022 and the work was done in march 2023 for weather safety reasons. They came and did the work in a timely manner. Since that time, the leak has continued. They have returned several times without being able to find and actually fix the leak. Now it is winter 2023 and once again, the leak has returned. Roofmasters returned several times. This time they have narrowed the leak to a lack of pipe flashing. The problem with this? In November 2022, I sent a picture of ice and water to roofmasters calling out the pipe as a possible root cause of the leak. Either it was ignored or they attempted to fix and failed, or they repaired the wrong area. Regardless, I'm easy to work with. Things get missed. But I expect a business to make it right when mistakes are made. I would have been thrilled that they may have actually found the original leak, but now Roofmasters is treating this as if it is a new problem unrelated to the previous work order to fix our leak. Apparently they consider it a new job. ITS THE SAME LEAK! And they have GHOSTED me completely when I asked them to make good on the work we paid for. It's the same leak. Same amount of water, same location. Since November 2022. In fact, we left the buckets in the same place all year by a happy accident which meant it collected most of the water to avoid damaging our ceiling. Moral of the story, expect Roofmasters to need to come back several times to fix leaks and when they finally find the root cause, don't expect them to make good on their promises and stand by the quality of their work. They will probably treat it as an entirely new job/problem. What a scam! I had originally recommended them to many other people. I've been sure to reach out and withdraw my recommendation. read more

Benjamin was quick to be onsite and provided an excellent overview and quote for the job. During initial exposure of the chimney he identified an additional issue (tuck pointing) as a result of the leak and we discussed an updated timeline as a result. There was consistent communication approaching the repair job and they stayed true to the promised deadline. This was very important to us - and they stayed late to ensure it was done. Cleanup was well done and thorough. Payment was easy and invoice was provided immediately which helped us in our specific situation! The before and after is pretty clear. RoofMasters? Roof disasters more like. Benjamin and Candy will be full of explanations and excuses, but the workmen who removed my old roof and fitted the RoofMasters " roofing system" were untrained and unskilled. Just look at the photos of their work. I have had to hire a new contractor to remove RoofMasters work and do the job correctly. read more

I hired Benjamin from Roofmasters and Masonry to redo my roof. Prior to him starting the work, I asked him for photos of previous jobs he has done and references. I spoke to the one female reference he gave me and she spoke highly of his work. He also sent me photos of a professionally finished roof that he said he had done, I know now that he didn't do that roof. We discussed the work he would be doing in detail. We both agreed he would remove all of the layers on my roof, replace any damaged decking, replace insulation, the roof and fill in my parapet walls. He told me that he would send photos of the roof as they worked and photos of the roof when it was completed. I didn't receive any photos until I asked multiple times for them after the job was complete and I only received a few very low quality photos that didn't clearly show the finished product. I suspected the work was bad, so I got an inspector to take a look - the roof failed the inspection. The inspector told me the roof is sagging because he didn't replace any decking, the old layers of material are still on there and new roofing material was applied wrong, it will definitely start to peal off and leak. I met with Ben to discuss this and his demeanor completely changed. He became extremely aggressive, he started slamming his clip board on a trash can and swearing at me, claiming he's never had this issue in his 20 years of experience. He started making false claims about how he had spent 7 days working on my home, when he had only spent 1 day there. His wife then jumped out of their truck and started going off on me too, I feared for my safety at that point. Side note, his wife goes by many names. On the phone, she's Ruth, his office coordinator. In person she was Cindy and Sandy, the boss. But in reality, she's just Candy, his wife who carries a dog with her everywhere and screams a lot. I gave these people thousands of dollars for a terrible job. I regret it deeply. Do not get involved with these people. read more

I had to get my roof replaced to sell my home. I was provided with a fair quote and was able to get the work done quickly. I was communicated with throughout the process and I was always in the know with what was going on. The company was even able to fix my ceiling which was water damaged as a result of the leaky roof.
