They protected the landscape around the house and cleared the area before starting work. They arrived when they said they would (actually early) and finished the job (tear out shingles, new boards as needed, added insulation to the attic, rerouted vents, new roof) in one day (about 11 hours). The crew cleaned up the area and made sure no debris (nails, scraps, etc) were left. I've moved to another house in 2014 and wanted to replace the roof. I called Imperial for a quote to do the job. We were trying very hard to be ready for the home to go on the real estate market in March. Neighborhood keep us abreast of the weather/schedule and came and did the job as soon as the weather allowed. They kept both the integrity of the roof and the need to meet a time deadline in mind and really helped us out. We are homeowners not roofing professionals, it was nice to know that they've been in Ann Arbor for so long, to know that they are well thought of in the community. We were able to trust them in their pricier advice. And for the scope of the work I feel the price was fair. A roof costs money, doing a roof the right way costs money but at least I know we paid a fair price for a job well done. They offer a long warranty and it's for the roof not for the owner so it transfers to new owners easily. And we know from conversations with multiple real estate agents that the warranty is solid! They fixed it! I called them back now to ask about recoating the roof with Silver-Shield 200 aluminum roof coating for maintenance. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company for siding work. The photos I've posted…read morespeak for themselves--they show clear examples of what was done improperly or not done at all. What surprised me most was the obviously rotten wood that was never replaced, despite it being impossible to miss. There were also numerous smaller issues, such as the use of finishing nails on siding boards, which is completely inappropriate for that type of work. In the end, I had to hire another company to redo the job correctly. Communication was just as disappointing as the workmanship, as the owner rarely responded to my messages. In my opinion, it's best to look elsewhere.
