Stan came out to address a roof leak that I had while it was raining! He came out within a few hours of my calling their company. Took off the Gutter Helmet that was on the roof (with permission from Atlas) and repaired the leak at NO CHARGE! Said he was confident that it would not leak anymore. He gave me a couple of quotes: one for the front of the house where the leak was, and one for the whole roof, in the event we needed it. His quotes were thorough, and I'm pretty confident we're going to be using him when we do the full repair and or replacement of our roof. Can't say I've ever seen a businessman with this kind of integrity. What a great guy! read more

The first roofing company that came out to provide a quote to fix a leaking roof did not even go up to the roof, just 'eyeballed' it looking up from the driveway. They asked us to find out the color/brand of our shingles and gave us an estimate of $1,800 for the anticipated service. We decided to get a second quote from a different company. Based on all of the Five Star Yelp and Google reviews, we contacted Diversified Roofing. Unlike the other roofing company, he actually got his ladder off of his truck and went to the roof to look up close. When he came back to the door about 20 minutes later, he showed me several photos of what he saw as most likely being the problem (cracked venting and eroded sealants... if I remember correctly) and then to my astonishment he told me he went ahead and patched up the areas that were most likely leaking while he was up there. He also encouraged me to have our dryer vent cleaned out as soon as possible (It is hazardous and I did not realize it was in need of maintenance). He did NOT charge me for fixing the leak, just asked that I refer people who might need his services. I have never had an experience like this. I wish I could give Diversified Roofing 10 stars. Stan gave us a roof inspection before we installed solar a couple years ago, and reported no significant issues, overall fair condition, and 15 years left. We've been doing some unrelated work on the interior and our contractor discovered numerous leaks. Multiple roofers and an insurance adjuster who've come out to identify the problem and given an estimate noted unsealed bridge caps, missing and loose nails, improper layering of shingles, and many other workmanship problems that would have been there two years ago and were easily noticed by their 15-minute inspections. We called Diversified again, both for an estimate on repairing/replacing the roof and to discuss the inspection that missed all of the above problems. Stan failed to look for or note any of these problems the second time, but still recommended a new roof (when two years ago he said we had 15 more years left). When I said multiple other roofers found problems that he apparently missed, and showed him his own prior inspection report, his only response was "yes sir." He didn't look in our attic and refused to when requested, and was generally rude and didn't seem to care that he did an absolutely abysmal job on the inspection or had costs us thousands of dollars. I hope all the people leaving positive reviews are still happy with their roof five years down the line, but I wouldn't count on it. read more

Contacted Diversified on a super rainy Friday afternoon when I noticed a leak in my living room. They were responsive and kind. Stan arrived today in a timely manner. He was polite and efficient, completely non-threatening and very professional. He spent some time on the roof, took several pictures to show me, and fixed an open area where the roof met the wood at one of the peaks of the house. Though I was prepared to remit payment, he said the repair was free of charge. He was fair and honest and did not try to sell me a roof immediately but rather said I have some time on my current roof and provided an estimate that was thoroughly explained so I could prepare for a roof replacement in the next few years. Stan came highly recommended from my brother and his wife who had their roof replaced by him at a fair price in 2013. He was also recommended by our realtor (and I understand why). I was told someone would reach out to schedule within 24-48 hours. I heard back right away and was able to schedule someone to come look at our roof. Stan was working on neighbor roof I went over and asked him if he could take a look at our roof. He came over and found some damage to ridge and fixed it right on the spot. You don't find many people who will do that these days. I really appreciated him for doing that and look forward to having roof replaced by his company in the near future. I recently had a fantastic experience with Diversified Roofing. I called several roofing contractors to get estimates to fix a leak in my roof. Most companies couldn't even schedule an appointment for at least two weeks, and one had the gall of asking for an $85 payment for the estimate alone, which of course I'd have to wait for. The rep from the first company that came to see the roof looked at it with binoculars from the ground and quoted me $1200 to fix the leak and several other items he found. Foolishly, I almost went with that estimate, since I wanted it done soon, but at the last second I called Diversified Roofing for a second opinion. When the representative (I believe he is the owner) showed up, he immediately got his ladder out and went up on my roof to see what the problem was. When he came to give me the report, he told me the good news was that he had already fixed the leak (with some caulk) and also stuck down some shingles that were sticking up in places. He would not accept any payment for the work, even later when I tried to give him 20 bucks for his time. He also explained that my roof had two layers of shingles, which the binocular-toting gentleman either didn't notice or neglected mention. And then he gave me a quote for further repairs but said my money would be better spent in a few years on a new roof instead of patching the bad flashing job I had, since it would all need to be torn up when a new roof went on anyway. So not only did they fix my problem for free, they advised against throwing money at a roof that would eventually need to be replaced anyway. I will definitely call Diversified Roofing when it comes time to replace what I have now. read more

As Stan and I toured my roof he offered lots of pertinent observations but didn't try to "sell" me anything... a no frills professional informative assessment. Communication was 100% as we had to reschedule twice for weather. Their crew showed up early, put in 12 hours of non-stop hard work, and we have a beautiful new roof that will last. The materials were high end, the price was more than fair, a high value-to-price ratio, money well spent. The cleanup was spotless (not one nail or shred of shingle!) Stanley came out to my house the same day I called. He identified an ice dam that had formed on the roof as the cause of the water that was leaking into the house. Using a roof rake and some calcium chloride, he solved the problem in short order. He was prompt, polite, and professional. Beware of using this roofer. Save yourself and use another company after checking Angie's list. I made the mistake of getting my roof done proactively through Diversified Roofing. My roof was not leaking, but I'd been advised that it was old and I should consider getting a new roof soon. The roof has been leaking ever since I had a new one done thru this company - in several different areas of the roof. The roof started leaking the following year and has caused significant and serious interior damages that will cost thousands to repair. While they give a 10 year warranty, they will honor it and fix the roof. In fact its become clear they simply don't know what they are doing. I have had multiple quality roofers out to look at the roof who have identified what the problems are, yet they will not take responsibility to fix it. They have even gone so far as to say that they don't know that its leaking despite the interior damages. Then (like a lawyer) they then say, if it IS leaking, it isn't their work. Then they made up allegations that someone else has done work on the roof causing the problem. Know that having a warranty doesn't protect you. I've been told that it would cost as much to get an attorney and take this to court to enforce the warranty, as it would to simply get the roof redone by a competent roofer. Also, even if I were able to enforce the warranty, you are stuck with a company that obviously doesn't really understand how to do the job correctly. read more

I had a new roof put on and my written estimate was given to me and when it came time to pay He charged me and extra $900.00. I should have taken him to court but I did not want a mechanics lien on my home. Even if the written estimate says one thing just make the rat stick to it. read more

We have nothing but good things to say about Diversified Roofing. A few years ago we needed a new roof due to leaking. We had several quotes done and Diversified was the only one that actually took the time to get on the roof and in the attic and really find out what the issues were. They got the roof done quickly and it looked great. A few years later we moved into a new home. This morning a water stain was discovered in the spare bedroom of our new house. When my husband touched it, his finger went right through the drywall. He called Diversified and Stan quickly returned his call. Stan made the time to stop by this afternoon, got on the roof and quickly discovered the issue. He not only fixed it but also took our broom up and cleaned all the leaves and sticks off for us. We received estimates from a couple other businesses, and Diversified was the most reasonably priced for exactly what we wanted and needed. Other companies tried to sell us things we really did not want and were quite pushy about it. Stan was professional, honest, upfront, and accessible (for those pesky last minute questions) the entire time. He went above and beyond, including an additional trip out to our house after the free estimate, to offer us several options to help us fix our old fascia.
