Their bid was accurate and we did not get the High pressure sales presentations that other companies did, I.e.sign now or you'll miss numerous discounted deals etc. Very professional and the installers did an exceptional job with some particularly tricky areas. we made the mistake of hiring this company to replace all of our windows. After getting the run around for over a year we finally have them all installed. The didn't trim around one they told me they would when I signed the contract and the damaged the existing trim. The windows are not good quality and some are even put in wrong. They are not level so they look lopsided. I would stay away from this company!!! read more

Despite asking Rocky Bond to give me a bid for replacing our windows, and scheduling a meeting at my home that was contingent upon whether or not my wife and I liked said bid, Rocky took it upon himself to show up at my home WITHOUT sending a bid...strike one! Upon greeting him at my front door (I refused to let him inside my home), I talked with Rocky outside and explained to him why I did not want 6 or 7 different window salesmen walking through my home - we have a newborn. He then proceeded to tell me that he would take measurements from outside so that he could confirm the measurements that I had previously sent him via email (I used the measurements from the first bid I received to solicit bids from other dealers to minimize the amount of strangers in our home). After going back inside, however, I noticed that he walked to his truck without taking one measurement...strike two! After receiving Rocky's bid - a two sentence email with a total amount for product and install - I called him to discuss it. *NOTE: every single bid we have received from other Marvin window dealers came in the form of an itemized and detailed list which included all windows, specs and pricing. During our call Rocky informed me that he does not receive itemized and detailed printouts from Marvin, and that he only receives a "number" (dollar amount)?! Before allowing the discussion to become contentious, I abruptly informed him that we were going to go in another direction. Curious, however, as to whether Rocky was being truthful when he claimed that he does not receive an itemized and detailed printout from Marvin, I called Marvin directly to inquire. To my complete shock, the Inside Sales Rep that I spoke with informed me that all dealers receive detailed printouts from Marvin's "OMS" system, as it has never been Marvin's business practice to simply "give out numbers" to dealers...strike three! After the Rep agreed to call Rocky on 3-way with me to find out why he told me a blatant lie, I dialed Rocky's number. When I informed Rocky for the purpose of my call, and after letting him know that there was a Marvin Rep on the call, Rocky nervously and shakingly responded, "Hey, what are you doing? I mean why are you doing this?" After attempting to express to Rocky my issue with his lack of honesty and integrity, and at one point the Marvin Rep being compelled to articulate my concern as well, Rocky stuttered and stammered over words in his miserable effort to excuse his actions / justify his deceptive business practices. All to often, sleazy and fast-talking salesman like Rocky Bond undermine the efforts of hard-working people who have spent years building up good reputations within their community by choosing to do business the right way - with humility and integrity. My hope is that my documented personal experience with Rocky Bond / Active One Construction serves as a stark WARNING to anyone considering contracting Rocky Bond to do work for them. The owner of Active One came out to look at windows and siding replacement. Within 5 minutes he says "Sir your asking a lot of questions I don't think we are the company for you" and he turns around and walks back to his truck. I was just asking how the fiberglass windows interface with vinyl siding. He said they do not have a built in J channel. I guess I should be grateful that we dogged a bullet with this company. read more

Contrary to other recent reviews, we had a great experience with Active One. We received a detailed quote for replacing most of the aging wooden windows in our mid-century home and a full explanation of the installation process. The new Marvin windows arrived on time and were installed as promised. The installers worked neatly and diligently (despite some very hot weather) and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. had windows installed about a year ago and contracted them when i was having trouble with a patio door they installed and was told they would be out 3/26/22 but they never showed they are marvin windows so i would think they would be covered for repairs i like it when a company stands behind the product the sell they dont if you contract them and they make appointment but are no shows read more

When shopping for replacement windows last year, we were equally concerned about window quality and installation to replace 20 double hung windows in our house. We compared Pella, Renewal by Anderson, and Marvin windows, and liked Marvin's "Infinity" fiberglass windows the best. On the Infinity website, we found 2 retailers that install Infinity windows in Canton, MI. Last fall, we decided to hire the retailer in Wixom to install half of our windows, and planned to have the other half done in the spring. We love the windows, but had several issues with the installation that did not meet our expectations with the Wixom company. Everything was resolved in the end, but for the remaining half of the windows, we decided to look into the other Infinity retailer- Active One Construction. The owner of Active One, Rocky, came to our house to give an estimate. He was professional and punctual. We decided to hire Active One and Rocky came back to take final measurements and make sure that everything was clear about what we wanted to order. We agreed on an installation date in May, but when the time came we were concerned about lots of rain that week and Rocky asked if we'd rather re-schedule the job. We were happy to have the opportunity to postpone installation, even though it meant waiting an extra 3 weeks until they completed other scheduled work. The 2-man team (one is Rocky's brother) from Active One has many years of window installation experience. They were very careful and did an excellent job. They set up scaffolding inside our 2-story foyer to replace 2 connected double hung windows above the front door with one large fixed window and had an extra installer come to assist with that. They matched the exterior aluminum cladding on the wooden window frames to look the same as the installation done last fall by the other company, applied caulk neatly, and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards (removed all the old windows, trim, etc.). We were completely satisfied with the job from start to finish. Everything was done right, we appreciated their excellent customer service, and were glad we ended up switching companies to Active One. read more

I called and asked for an appointment for an estimate of work for siding replacement and repairs to the back of my house. The representative came out at the scheduled time, but said he'd get back to me with numbers for an estimate. He never called back. I assumed the job was either too small or not something he wanted to tackle - that's his prerogative, but would have been nice to have a communication explaining that. read more

Active One replaced 13 windows on a home we recently purchased. They were very professional, from the first visit to quote the job until the job was finished. Their guys are thorough, respectful of you and your property and after their cleanup at the end you never would have known they were here. We plan on replacing several more windows next year and the roof and they have earned our business. I would highly recommend them. read more

I got Marvin Infinity wood windows and can't say enough about how beautiful they are. I replaced all 16 windows in my old house and they match the original oak trim perfectly. Rocky was fabulous from the first time I went to the showroom to choose my windows. Good windows are expensive, but he helped me understand what was best for my old home. I was unable to be here for any of the installation and except for the new windows I would have never known that the installers had been here. Immaculate! I will definitely use Active One for future products. read more
