The owner whom I met while walking the block responded to my request for bid immediately and all follow up was quick, thorough, transparent and personal. He responded that very day. They communicated by text, email and phone and I could choose what worked best for me in any given exchange. It is so easy to get business done when a company uses all the tech available to them to reach their clients. I work full time and do not have the time to deal with any Mickey-Mouse operation who doesn't text or use other forms of communication, or takes forever to respond in 2024. 2. They are local, so I trusted them more. I was worried about shady contractors, so I liked that they had a local business address and staff who answer a phone, email paperwork etc. They also worked within what my insurance budget. Everything from the bid to the bill was above board, not shady! 3. The crew were the most hardworking I have ever seen. And, it was so hot that week! ‍They cleaned up after each session and were professional, polite and most of all very kind people. They kept their work contained in my yard and parked properly near my house in the street. They didn't encroach upon the neighbors' property. I received no calls or complaints. They kept all their equipment in order and they were not in our way. They parked their own dumpster to toss the old roof, and someone even came quietly after dark to retrieve it. There was no evidence of their trash, not a speck - impressive! 4. When it came time for me to pay, they offered to pick up the check personally because I was worried about mailing it. Now that it's been a couple months, I wanted to share my experience working with the company. Throughout the project, I found the sales rep, office staff, and management to be courteous, professional, and generally responsive. When I reported concerns, Stonebridge agreed to fix the issues and worked through many of the problems I identified. Unfortunately, the installation side of the project was much more challenging. The biggest issues in my experience were with workmanship and quality control. Although Stonebridge has quality control people, it often seemed that completed work was not thoroughly inspected before crews left the job site. Instead, many issues were discovered only after I identified them and brought them to Stonebridge. Some examples of the issues I discovered included: - Step flashing had not been installed in one area where the roof meets a wall; wood was exposed. - A bathroom exhaust vent opening was completely covered over with siding. - Exterior light fixture mounting blocks and trim pieces were either installed crooked, not fully seated, or missing altogether. - Loose, bulging, and damaged siding in multiple areas. - Exposed nails through flashing, and bent drip edge. - Multiple areas where the roofing, siding, flashing, fascia, or trim installation required correction or replacement due to poor workmanship. These examples represent only a portion of a multi-page punch list I was asked to create by Stonebridge to document the issues. Another recurring challenge was communication between sales/project management and the onsite crews. I often discussed specific install details or repair issues with sales or office personnel, but many times that information was not communicated to the crews performing the work. Installers would arrive without a clear understanding of previous discussions, requiring the same issues to be explained multiple times. An additional challenge was the language barrier with the non-English speaking onsite crews. By itself, this would not have been a concern if there had been stronger supervision and communication from Stonebridge project management. However, when questions arose about workmanship or repairs, it was very difficult to communicate directly with the installers. My goal with this review is to provide an honest account of my experience so prospective customers know what they may encounter. If you choose Stonebridge, my advice is to stay actively involved throughout your project, inspect the workmanship carefully, ask questions, and don't assume completed work has already been reviewed or inspected. In my experience, Stonebridge was willing to respond after problems were identified, but much of the responsibility for finding those problems fell on me, the homeowner. This ultimately broke down my confidence in the quality of Stonebridge's workmanship.

We have State Farm, and they referred us to Black Dog Roofing, and are we glad they did?! Every step of the way, it's been a fantastic experience with Black Dog. John came out, inspected and marked the roof, answered all our questions, advocated with the State Farm appraiser, and recommended some strategic upgrades that make a ton of sense. They guided us through materials and color selection (including running multiple samples out to us when we couldn't make up our minds), worked with us on payment, and were in constant communication via text, answering my questions and in general making everything easy. They acted fast too. It took a little over a month from start to finish to get our new roof, and we love it. The materials arrived exactly when they said they would, and so did the workers. Then they got it done in a single day, and when we got home, we couldn't even tell they had been there. It was like a new roof just magically appeared on our home. Awesome. Everything I'd hoped for. In terms of cost, I have never gotten a new roof before, so I have no frame of reference, but the costs all along the way felt reasonable to me. And insurance covered most of it (except the upgrades, obviously), which was great. Next, they are replacing one elevation of siding and then our gutters and downspouts. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had…read more Had a roof inspection done with the intent to get a detailed report of my roof, with photos and descriptions of the current status. Probably the most basic service a roofing company can offer. They failed to deliver at almost every step of the way. Took me 2 months to be able to get the report. But the stress along the way in having to deal with the company was unbelievable. I have had to follow up with over 15 emails, 20 phone calls, and countless texts asking for the report. Every time a new version was issued, it was incomplete, and the customer service got worse. First, the report was a poorly handwritten note by the inspector. Then, when I mentioned again the need for a report that included all the photos taken, with descriptions, in the company's official letterhead, the new versions came with only a handful of photos and no descriptions. My requests were passed around countless times, and every time the new assignee did a worse job. As my follow ups started to tally up, the reports missed photos, missed descriptions, time and time again. My requests were never escalated to management, and when I asked for a call back or status update, they never got back to me. Their admin - the person I was interacting with directly and for most of all of these requests - is an absolute incompetent at her job. I cannot reiterate enough. When I got fed up with it all, after two months of trying, I asked for a refund. When I picked up the check, their admin didn't even look me in the eye, didn't say a single 'sorry' - she just handed me the check with an entitled face as if I'm giving her more work. I was speechless with the interaction and simply walked out of their office. But it gets worse. The second that I cashed the check, the inspector called me and yelled at me for requesting a refund for a service that he had done, but his team never delivered or completed based on my needs and countless asks. Only then did the owner of the company called me, trying to fix things, and to get the job that his team was unable to do, done properly. Although he apologized for his team's incompetence and ability to deal with a basic service and to deliver on my clear and repeated requests, he still had the courage to ask me to remake the payment for the terrible service. I laughed in total disbelief. After two months, dozens of calls, texts, and emails, I finally got the report. Their team didn't know how to work correctly the system to be able to issue it correctly. Will never rehire this company or recommend to anyone that I know. If they can't deliver on an inspection report, I can't imagine the other services.

I also found out my neighbor had told them to move as soon as they parked in the spot and they ignored them and parked illegally. The next day they knocked on my door 4 separate times while I worked from home trying to force me to move my car from my accessible spot to get out of there way even though the HOA rep had said nothing about people needing to move for them, and again not what accessible spots are made for. Construction on the project got delayed 5 days beyond there promised timeline. They were made aware I needed access and still blocked access, don't give excuses do better. Willie at Gallagher is a straight up con man and lied about everything from siding to gutter guards. #3. Gallagher uses all unvetted illegal labor on your home. The horrendous job completed by them resulted in over 40 different issues excluding the fact that they did not waterproof my house by replacing the Tyvek and blatantly lied to my face about it. I had them pull back the siding and could see the results, they apologized and replaced the entire job after much deliberation. #4. They (Willie) went out of their way to show me these beautiful aluminum gutter guards and had me hold them showing me what was going on my house. They tore off all of my perfectly fine gutter guards and replaced them with cheap crap that blows off constantly all over my house. #5. When contacting Gallagher attempting to speak to the owner, he blocked me. When I requested that they either follow through with what was promised or replace what I had before they ever touched them, they EXTORTED me for an additional $1,700. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT HIRE THIS SHADY COMPANY.
