Beware of this business. I had Rontronics come to my home over 6 weeks ago to do a simple TV repair on my Samsung 75" that was working except for a single crystal that fell out needing to just be glued back in place. I paid $3000 for the TV a few years ago. He gave me an estimate which I agreed to. The owner stated he would take my TV back to his shop to repair it. After 6 weeks he called to tell me that after trying to repair it in his garage, there now was no video. He returned my TV and once I turned it on it was obvious that he cracked the screen leaving the TV unrepairable. I would think an experienced TV tech would have known instantly when he cracked it by just turning it on. He finally admitted he cracked the screen and promised he would put an insurance claim in with his insurance. He then gave me another promise to give me a used 2 year old lessor 86" LG TV since my TV was now beyond repair. After finally getting his insurance policy contact I was told he does not even have a policy that would cover the damages, as he promised!
I contacted him back to at least have him honor his promise to replace my TV with a lessor brand, he stated he sold the TV 3 days after his offer and would not do anything for me except to give me back my $65 trip charge for him destroying my TV!
He said he doesn't care if I contact the BBB or do a bad review of his company. He is not even a BBB accredited business either! My personal advise is to do what I failed to do and dig down a little in his past reviews to see how many poor service reviews he has by other really disappointed past customers. I am now forced by Rontronics to seek legal help in the courts. Whatever his response to this review is, don't just take my opinion alone, just simply look at all his bad reviews.
My opinion is that you should use an accredited, insured and established TV repair service rather than Rontronics.
BEWARE! I just don't want this to happen to you. read more
