If you're confused about the world of consumer electronics -- what's the best TV for my room? are in-wall speakers okay? can I control everything with my iPad? -- then Shakatronics is the one-stop shop for you!
I've had home theaters with 100-inch projection systems and a closet full of electronics. I've worked with designers and installers and technicians from big companies and small. But I've never met a person with the talent, professionalism, and integrity of Shaka. And I don't say that lightly. But Shaka is more of a perfectionist than I am!
When we moved to a new home (new to us, it was built in 2004), it had an existing entertainment "space." We called Shaka and he helped us work through all available options, from completely remodeling the space to finding interim solutions that let us do the build-out in stages. For a variety of reasons, we chose the latter approach. He installed a new HDTV, new amplifier, Blu-ray player, Apple TV, surround ceiling speakers, ceiling speakers in the dining and living rooms, outdoor speakers in the patio, linked the outdoor TV to the indoor system, and set up wireless Internet throughout the house. And he linked it all with an RF universal controller that managed everything seamlessly from one handy remote unit.
This was not an easy install. He and his technicians had to spend hours fishing wires down walls and through the attic, finding the optimal placement for all the equipment, and then programming the whole system.
But it worked flawlessly! The whole system is beautiful, elegant, and efficient. Shaka and his crew are meticulous in their workmanship. They protected floors and furniture from any debris and dust, cleaned up the area at the end of each day's work, and made sure everything was perfect before he turned over the remote! And then -- recognizing that sometimes the weakest link in any new electronics system is the user -- Shaka spent all the patient time we needed to make sure we understood how to use the system and its various functions. And then later when we discovered we'd missed something, he came back out and walked us through it again until we had it all completely right.
Shaka was trained in the Air Force. He is disciplined, dedicated, and professional. He takes pride in his work, and that shows in the care he takes with his customers. He got to know us, asked questions about how we lived, what we liked, and what we wanted from our system. Then he delivered a complete solution that worked, met our needs, met our budget, and exceeded our expectations on every level. He makes recommendations and suggestions, but always to offer options and meet needs, never to promote one or another brand of equipment nor to push his own particular preferences.
Bottom line, we felt like we were working with a partner, not a vendor. And when we're ready to expand our system or do that complete remodel, Shaka is the first person we'll call! read more
