We were informed today by the installer/Patrick D. that Smart Tech Security has…read moreclosed their doors and is filing for bankruptcy and that the closing of the business has been in process for a couple of months. They didn't disclose this to us when they took our money. We paid for this security system in full up front which was a mistake. We hired Smart Tech Security to install a security system/surveillance cameras. The install start date was 5/8/23 and scheduled to take 6 hrs. The actual time to install cameras and equipment was 3 business days. Two of the four security cameras installed are not working, in addition, there are still holes that need to be patched, areas that need caulking and paint touch up. We have been reaching out to Nick Vara/Owner of Smart Tech Security for 5 weeks at the phone number provided to us by Smart Tech Security. Each time we call, it gets routed to a 3rd party/Ruby Receptionist, they put us on hold, they try to call Nick, and they come back and tell us repeatedly that Nick is not available but they will get a message to him and that Nick will call us back. They log the calls in their system. We have not received a callback from Nick to date. (aka Nicolas John Vara).

After much arguing, the rep put in the "official" cancelation and comped any further charges. Also, he said they couldn't back date my request. HORRIBLE service when it comes to canceling them!!!
