After posting my original review in May' 23, I genuinely felt bad because my review was based on my misunderstanding of a brick and mortar business versus a home-grown solo operation. With that being addressed, I wish to blue-pencil my initial review. Kevin, the proprietor, reached out to me with assurance that he was still a viable entity. Although, I waited until recently, KTAG Alarms was prominent on my project list. There are too many words in the dictionary that reflect Kevin's work ethic, but if I may share a few, they are conscientious, meticulous, phenomenal, and reliable. After an initial consultation where Kevin came out to assess my needs, we agreed on a plan and a time to execute it. Due to my lifestyle, I am not easily accessible, but Kevin made sure to work around my schedule. My project was ripe with challenges, and where many may have given up in defeat, Kevin soldiered on...his motto being: "I promised you a service and I will deliver." Kevin worked tirelessly to ensure that I received his 'white glove' service. While there were some unseen costs outside of the agreed budget, Kevin footed those himself because he honors his commitment and his word is rock solid. Punctuality is his forte...when Kevin says he will be there at a certain time...he shows up 10 minutes early to fulfill his promise. In essence, Kevin is the type of individual you would want to hire for all of your projects for an iron-clad result. So, if you are on the market for an economical approach to securing your property and valuables, do not hesitate when considering KTAG Alarms. It should be at the forefront of your choices for a top-shelf 'customer service' experience. read more

I've been using KTAG for years. The alarm monitoring service they use is reliable and the personal service from the owner Kevin and his wife is fantastic. Would recommend this alarm company to anyone. With the large alarm companies you are just an account number, this is so much better. read more

Yes Kevin is a fantastic Tech. Runs his business very businesslike man has fantastic manners and takes great pride in his work and customer relations. S.o far I am very happy with his alarm system company. Kevin has a better alarm system companies than ADT will ever have in a lifetime. ADT Stinks and allows vandalizing and Theft in people's homes as well as allowed it in my home . (Facts) I always speak the truth no matter who it hurts. I do not cover for bad business and badly run businesses. I hired Kevin in November 2020 and so far I'm very happy. I will give even better review when I have had him for a while and see how things go. Signed Josephine Looman January 6 2021 read more

We got our alarm from Kevin a few years ago. It was reasonable and he is very efficient. He is verry responsive with any follow up questions or new needs that may arise. I HIGHLY recommend this company read more

I have known Kevin (KTAG Alarms) for approximately 30 years. He is a veteran and a very polite and contentious individual. Kevin has installed alarms in two different homes for me, along with security cameras. As many of the previous reviews have mentioned, he is punctual for appointments and very responsive when called. Not only does he do excellent work, he cleans up after himself. I am well satisfied with the work, service, responsiveness and value that Kevin brings to the table. If you are looking to have an alarm installed, or to have one serviced, give Kevin a try. You will not be disappointed. read more

Hi Readers! I recently purchased a home in the area, and shortly after getting the alarm monitored, I started having false alarms. I tried replacing some equipment myself, to no avail. I reached out to my home warranty company who sent another vendor out. What a joke! So, I called some of the majors, even the prior company who monitored it...all wanted to sell me entire new system and 3 year monitoring contract without even looking at it! I took to NextDoor site and reached out to my neighbors for recommendations. Kevin w/Ktag was one of the recommendations. I looked him up on Yelp, was happy with the results, so I messaged him. I explained the situation in detail and awaited a response. Kevin responded very promptly with his response, sharing his thoughts about my situation, and gave me some possible things to do prior to his arrival. Unfortunately, life happened and several months passed before I could actually schedule Kevin out. No worries, he remembered who I was, my situation, and what needed to happen. We scheduled a mutually agreeable time and Kevin showed up early, calling first. Kevin spent time with me gathering information about what was going on. We went from room to room over each piece of equipment, what was happening, etc. He asked questions to insure his understanding and went to work. Kevin spent a little over an hour making the repairs, and got all working. He offered me options on equipment, placement, etc, was cognizant of my aesthetic concerns, and got it all done quickly, and professionally. He even vacuumed after himself. While at my house, Kevin noted the monitoring device from the company that monitored prior to my purchase of the house....u know the one, new system and 3 year contract. He asked if I was going to use the equipment again, and I told him no and advised I almost threw it out. He asked if he could credit some of his bill in exchange for the unit. That way he could help another customer like me with existing system AND save us both money! Yes sir, take it! Overall, I am ecstatic with what he did and have not had one more false alarm. Kevin even followed up with me the next day to make sure all was working! He did not try to sell me anything I did not need and we even discussed my monitoring with his company. Once my current contract is up, I will certainly consider him. If you need an alarm guy with you in mind, give Kevin a shout. read more

OK, Yelp readers, this is my second review of KTAG...now 3 years after my first contact with them (look for the longer review of my initial experience with KTAG back in 2014). Have you noticed that ALL THE REVIEWS (as of this writing) rate KTAG at 5 stars? NOT EVEN ONE YELP USER gave them a four. There is a reason for it, AND that should be a HUGE CLUE FOR YOU that you have found your new alarm system provider! I wish KTAG were a publicly traded company so I could invest in its stock after posting a referral like that, LOL. This time, I had Kevin visit my mother's house. It had an older, functioning system, but there was a problem with a defective sensor that would occasionally falsely trip the alarm. Plus, it was not smart phone compatible. As expected, NO PROBLEM! Kevin came out at a mutually convenient time. He installed an updated main circuit board to make it compatible with the smart phone operation program, replaced the bad sensor, did a full individual inspection of each and every sensor on the system, then he registered the system with the monthly monitoring people. After that, he stayed around long enough to make sure that we were comfortable with how to properly use both the smart phone option and the remote key fob devices that she already had, but which hadn't worked in years! Once again, it was another professional, friendly and efficient experience. Thanks again, Kevin! read more

Kevin Seyfert (KTAG) has provided my entire family excellent security system maintenance and installation for the last 12 years. KTAG has recently installed an external camera system at home. The work was done on time and on budget. The work site was spotless when KTAG left the site. We have recommended Kevin Seyfert to numerous people over the last 12 years based on our great experience. He is all about service. read more

Kevin is a rare breed in the alarm industry. He was referred to me by a leading expert on the commercial side of alarm installs and I am so happy I followed up with the referral. With K.T.A.G., Kevin's company, you get first-rate customer service, amazing pricing and an extremely high-quality installation. For this reason, I recommend his services, without reservation. read more

I saw Kevin's car on the 303 advertising his security alarm business. Since we were looking to get something more affordable I called Kevin. He was very helpful and responded very quickly. Although the system we had from monitronics wasn't something he worked with, he was able to come up with a solution quickly and made it affordable for us. In this day and age it's hard to find someone that is honest and trustworthy to do business with. We will save over $40 a month switching to Kevin from monitronics, which is a yearly savings of $480. We are very grateful to have found ktag securities and to trust our security needs with Kevin. read more

If your tired of outrageous alarm monitoring fees and appreciate stellar customer service KTAG is the company for you. Kevin spent literally hours unraveling a mess created by ADT and stood by his original quote. People who take pride in what they do are hard to find these days. I have never left a review for anything in my life but really felt the need to do so in this case. If you need an alarm you should definitely go with this guy. read more

KTAG installed our security system around 10 years ago. Kevin's pricing was significantly lower than the big alarm companies. He installed the system on time and at the quoted price. He cleaned up after himself, too. He took a lot of time showing us how everything worked, to include the remote viewing features and the app that lets you arm or disarm the system remotely. Since then, we've added or changed cameras, and he's always there within 1-2 days. No waiting around for weeks. When our cable company came to "fix" a problem with our cable modem, they accidentally hijacked the security system cables. Kevin came out the next day and fixed it all up. He's very honest. I highly recommend KTAG. We wouldn't use any other company. read more

After my house was broken into I decided to get an alarm system. KTAG was recommended to me by my neighbors and I'm so glad to have found them! Kevin is professional and friendly. He worked with me to design the perfect system for my house. He also walked me through everything and helped me install a monitoring app on my phone. I've had the system for about a year and a half now and I'm completely happy with it. Every time I've contacted Kevin with a question or a request for an additional piece (garage door monitor), he's gotten back to me right away. The monthly service is also very reasonably priced. I recommend KTAG to my family and friends. read more

If we could give more than 5 stars we would! We recommend KTAG Alarms without reservation ! We were shopping around to upgrade our current alarm system and a friend recommended that we contact Kevin Seyfert w/KTAG Alarms. Definitely a great decision! Very customer oriented company. Kevin is incredibly knowledgeable about home safety, alarm systems and both understands and installs the latest technology. Quote was right on the mark. He arrived when he said he would, took his time to review our current equipment and meticulous with the installation. At the end of the installation, He went over our alarms system with us and walked through our home and tested each piece of equipment with us, showing us how it all worked. He spent his time showing us how the website and the app worked. Unlike most companies today, there were no hidden cost nor did he try to upsell when he was at our home. KTAG's contracts are month-to-month with only 30 day's notice needed. Most importantly, the quality of the work was first-rate. We have no doubts that our alarm system was installed right and will do exactly what it is intended to do .... protect us and our family. For all of the above reasons, we strongly recommend KTAG Alarms to anyone considering a security system and/or equipment! read more

WOW!!! What great customer service, attention to detail, and knows his stuff. I called KTAG as I saw one of my neighbors had his sign in their front yard and wanted to get a quote. Kevin came out to the house and spent about an hour with me going over everything and what the cost would be. His cost is significantly lower than all big alarm competitors out there. Also he is private so no salesman to deal with that sells your information so the pesky sales people will be calling us. He showed up as promised and on time to complete the job. He took his time and his attention to detail about where everything goes and how it is setup is AMAZING! We decided to go with the RING doorbell and he installed that for us as well. He then went through getting our apps setup and showed us how to work everything. He gave us a lot of good insight on security features about the house and told us that whenever we needed to change something to just give him a call and he would come back out to make any necessary changes. What a great guy and AMAZING service!!!. Look no further if you want great quality service! read more
