A few of my neighbors have hired Ron's for multiple services in recent years. Yesterday they were trimming trees at the house next door. They drove their heavy equipment onto our lawn and parked there with the outriggers deployed and started trimming. When my wife went to ask them what they were doing and to be aware we have a sprinkler system and invisible dog fence in the area they were working, they were dismissive. They eventually moved their equipment at her request. When I arrived home and went out to inspect the potential damage to our lawn a crew member came over to apologize for his coworker who "knows better than to drive on neighboring properties without permission". There were at least 6 members on this crew and their website says they all have 10 years experience. So, blaming an uninformed crew member seems more like a canned response. This is clearly a case of ask forgiveness, not permission. While this was the most egregious, it was not an isolated case. They arrive with a fleet of equipment, well beyond what is needed for the job they are doing and essentially take over the neighborhood. Last year they set up their "break area" under our tree tramping back and forth between their trucks and two different work sites. I would not consider any of this as "professional". For a company that has been doing this for 30 years (according to their website), one would expect that basics like knowing property lines or stopping over to ask permission would be normal operating procedure. "Hey is it okay if we drop a few limbs in your yard? We'll be sure to clean up after ourselves". "We'll be working next door, you may want to keep you kids and pets indoors, if that's okay". Nope. Just drive up, unload, and dig in. We expect you to not get in our way. If you want to offend your neighbors, by all means hire Ron's. If you want to be a good neighbor, consider hiring someone else.

Working to take down 4 large trees!

Ron and his crew were absolutely amazing! They were efficient, professional and worked so well together as a team to trim, cut, chip and stump our trees all while cleaning up the entire yard before leaving! We were so impressed and would recommend Ron's Tree Services to everyone!

Will not use Ron's for firewood. Did not get an honest full face cord. Should have measured it before they left.

Our seamless steel siding was significantly damaged and they never reported it to us; we heard it hit the house but they left without acknowledgment. They then sent a handyman to our home to assess who cut out a huge chunk of the seamless steel siding, without permission or even attempting to ring our bell to discuss. The total repair estimate is $19,000+ just for the siding. They had to return a second time on the removal day to take out another huge load of debris that the crew had abandoned in our wooded area. They damaged numerous other trees in our yard, as limbs fell freely. There is still one broken limb from another three (3 weeks later) that is hanging precariously, not removed. This was broken from the free-falling limbs. The owner, upon seeing all the damage, immediately said he knew who was responsible and said it was because that person was "LAZY." We didn't hire them for "lazy" we hired them to be expert professionals. There remains a broken limb in a neighboring tree that is now dying and has not been removed. They are refusing to do so. Huston's did open a claim with their insurance but this is still not resolved, weeks later. Huston's has shown no urgency to ensure we are made whole, even knowing we are already looking at *winter* before the siding company can get out to us. Every extra day this takes is extra time our house sits exposed to the elements. They offered no concessions on price of the service and charged our credit card the FULL amount, despite our damage claims not being resolved. We asked them to refund the money until we had been made whole for the damage (and to consider a discount considering the poor level of service, at every turn) and we were ignored. We now know their insurance will not cover all damages. Huston's has started to walk-back their apologies and are alleging the other damage shown below was not their fault or that it does not exist - despite Boone being shown in person and Katie being shown pictures. They are washing their hands of us. See attached vides of dropping without safety rigging and damage to trees in yard.
