A few of my neighbors have hired Ron's for multiple services in recent years. Yesterday they were trimming trees at the house next door. They drove their heavy equipment onto our lawn and parked there with the outriggers deployed and started trimming. When my wife went to ask them what they were doing and to be aware we have a sprinkler system and invisible dog fence in the area they were working, they were dismissive. They eventually moved their equipment at her request. When I arrived home and went out to inspect the potential damage to our lawn a crew member came over to apologize for his coworker who "knows better than to drive on neighboring properties without permission". There were at least 6 members on this crew and their website says they all have 10 years experience. So, blaming an uninformed crew member seems more like a canned response. This is clearly a case of ask forgiveness, not permission. While this was the most egregious, it was not an isolated case. They arrive with a fleet of equipment, well beyond what is needed for the job they are doing and essentially take over the neighborhood. Last year they set up their "break area" under our tree tramping back and forth between their trucks and two different work sites. I would not consider any of this as "professional". For a company that has been doing this for 30 years (according to their website), one would expect that basics like knowing property lines or stopping over to ask permission would be normal operating procedure. "Hey is it okay if we drop a few limbs in your yard? We'll be sure to clean up after ourselves". "We'll be working next door, you may want to keep you kids and pets indoors, if that's okay". Nope. Just drive up, unload, and dig in. We expect you to not get in our way. If you want to offend your neighbors, by all means hire Ron's. If you want to be a good neighbor, consider hiring someone else. read more

Since we needed a 50+ year old dead Ash tree removed we called Ron's and on the same day we had a favorable estimate and a schedule to return within a week for the work. Ron's arrived in a few days just after noon, loading up our street with all their gear. Right-off it was clear this was the team to beat. Ron, himself, with several skilled employees, got to work and our tree was gone and the stump ground in just a few hours, with no trace of debris left in the yard. Had three large trees downed in my backyard by high winds. Saw that Ron was highly rated online and contacted him that afternoon. He was over the next morning and gave me a fair price to remove them all. He had to work around a garage, power lines and a hedge to clear them all. Ron and his team came out to my house yesterday to remove 20 large trees. They worked quickly, did minimal damage to my yard, cleaned up the debris so my yard wasn't a complete disaster when they were done. They also trimmed trees for aesthetic purposes and some for safety reasons (large, dead branches hanging over my yard) and everything looked great when they were done.
