Jorge quoted me at $700 as well as one other contractor with the others absurdly overpriced, the next lowest one was $1500. All for basic carpeting. ChatGPT gave me a range of $500-$900 for the job in my area. Quality - looks great, watched some of the work and I could tell they were trying to do it right and not cut any corners. Service - great communication throughout the project and was not pushy on sales like some of the other companies. Really kind person and I wish most contractors were like him. Recently, however, I noticed a slight upward buckling in the form of a 'ridge' that ran the length of the room so I called S&G to inquire about having the carpet re-stretched. Within just a few days, an appointment was scheduled, and S&G Customer Service Manager Tim Pettit arrived on February 3, 2026, to evaluate the condition and offer a recommendation. Tim arrived precisely on time and my wife and I took an immediate liking to his highly personable nature. Tim conducted a comprehensive examination of the carpet and concurred that re-stretching was in order. Additionally, he set in motion the process for two pieces of relatively heavy/bulky furniture (a large sofa and a large desk) to be removed from and returned to the room once the procedure was complete (for a very reasonable fee).
