But when she drove the car home, there was outrageous and unsafe steering problems. Yes, it's a very old Camry with a lot of miles, and she had already decided this would be her final big investment prior to buying her next car. She's 25 now, and got it used while in college. When we brought it back up there, they were basically like, Oh, yeah she needs a steering alignment, as well as x, y and z. They never said a word, and she had been so relieved she would have a repaired car for her 40 minute work commute the next day. Nope. Just kept the car there for another couple days, while making arrangements again to get to work. Two days later, we pick up the car along with another bill for 5 or 6 hundred. Prior to this, we had good experiences, but I'm undecided whether I'll go back after they returned the car in that condition, knowing full well it was a big problem, instead of of giving her a call about it. They are fast, and have convenient hours.

They (Nissan of North Olmsted) came out forthright and said that they would not want me to purchase a new rim from Nissan because it is $1,000. They recommended going around finding someone who could refurbish your rim or else get a rim from a salvage yard. I asked for recommendations and this was the first card he gave me. He said he heard good things about them. I drove straight there and was totally impressed. Alloy was the only shining bright light on this day. He could repair the rim, solder it back to shape and the cost would be $200. It was available by noon the next day for pick-up. A pleasure to deal with - Greg, the general manager, seemed to be the only one in the office. He seemed to handle everyone professionally (men, women, phone calls, etc.). They do a lot of high-end cars that are getting customized rims - tons of Mercedes there. I highly would recommend a visit there for your wheel needs!

Even though I spoke with someone a few days prior to confirm the make, model and trim style of my truck. Because they waited 6 hours after my scheduled appointment to even look at the truck, there was no time to obtain the correct size. The next day was Sunday, and I couldn't be without a vehicle for another day. I asked why it took so long to discover their error, and the man gave an excuse that they were down a man, and that they had 30 cars that day. They take walk ins, but stress that appointments take priority. There's no way, they had 30 cars scheduled before my 10 am appointment. I told him I was coming to pick up my truck. When I got there it took over 45 min to put the original tires back on. I could see the employees through the window, and they moved extremely slow. I could've put the tires on faster myself. Despite the loss of my car for over a day, failure to prioritize appointments over walk ins and the abysmal lack of communication, I never received an apology. Will never return.

At the time it really never occurred to me to do a yelp review for an auto mechanic. This is long over due. We would always take our cars to the dealership for any type of service. And never thought twice about it. In September of 2022, we had an issue with our Lincoln MKC where the engine light kept coming on. Like clockwork we took it to the local Lincoln dealership in Westlake , where we purchased it from in 2016. At the time this was happening there was around 60k miles on the car. After doing some initial online research about why the engine light would come on, the thought was something that it could be fixed with it not being too costly. After going to the dealership to diagnose and attempt to fix the car, we got an astonishing diagnosis. Per the dealership the engine needed to be replaced!!! Upon getting this news I was stunned. How in the world a car that was maintained well with only 60k miles need a new engine that was 6 years old??? Expressing my frustration with the dealership they did not offer any alternate solutions except to give a "discount" on being a valued customer the last 6 years. The original quote for a new engine was close to 8k and with our "valued customer discount" they took it down to 7k. Still digesting this information I was in shock that this was the only option or having to get a new vehicle. Now, the good part. Once I came to the realization of this, I started asking family & friends about any local mechanics they use that are trustworthy & honest for a second opinion. I got Willie's Garage information and made an appointment for them to have a look. Around $800 total the car was fixed!!!!! Ever since that , we do not take our cars anywhere else for service. Today we sold the MKC. It was bitter sweet as it was a reliable vehicle for the 8 years we had it. Thank you to Willie's for having an alternate option on repairing the vehicle two years ago. In today's environment I find it challenging encountering businesses that have their customers best interest in mind and not their profit. Willie's has made a life long customer out me & my family.
