Had an appointment on a Saturday for a tire rotation. Extremely busy. Guy at the counter was very friendly and helpful despite being overworked and understaffed. Their customer process is broken. Learned that appointment does not guarantee a time, just priority over walk ins. Service was performed 1-1/2 hours after appointment time. Car was in service bay for 7 minutes for rotation, check tire balance and new wiper blades. Skeptical that service was done at all. When service was completed the technician never called my name or explained what was found or done. Had to ask about my car a wait an additional 15 minutes after service was complete. If I had not seen my car move into service bay I would have never known and waited longer. Going to repeat - the customer service process is broken. Will try somewhere else next time. read more

Two weeks ago today I was told by Discount Tire my flat would be addressed in 30-45 min. I was told I could use the air at Discount Tire to air up the tire myself to prevent any possible damage to the wheel from them moving the vehicle prior to them getting to it for repair and then I was told not to. 1.5 hours later Discount Tire rushed the job and their equipment fell onto my wheel and scratched my wheel, which was in like new/no scratches condition. Travis told me he would replace it with an OEM wheel to "make it right". Two weeks later the lady at the claims company still hasn't communicated anything meaningful to me. She called and left a voicemail. Claim #1664104 . Talked to Travis last weekend Saturday and not another word from Discount Tire since then. Travis was going to call the claims company - Emily, a Senior Claims Manager. I gave him her phone number. Guess we're all playing phone tag. You are just another number at Discount Tire and there is no customer service. If the General Manager, the one who stopped me from airing my tire after being told I could, reads this and has the guts to call me, I'd appreciate a direct communication with you. 10/10 - Received a call from Joanne asking for photos and a quote but Travis took photos and never mentioned a quote. It sounded like I'd just need to come in and pick up the new wheel. It's interesting how Discount Tire rushing the job has resulted in more and more of my time. Always get my tires from Discount Tire because I travel and they're all over the country. Recently this location rotated my tires. They put my fronts in the rear and crisscrossed the rear to the front. I drive a rear wheel drive ram 2500. This is absolutely wrong for this truck. Or any rear wheel drive truck. When I called the shop they told me that's what they do to every vehicle. When that's actually the protocol for a front wheel drive car. They said that's what they're taught as tire techs. I called Dothan, Alabama, which is where I usually go because it's closer to my house in Florida. And they laughed when I told them what they said. Educate your tire people better please read more

Where's the sixth star-? Manager Ron and his team care genuinely; I say this because it's obvious. I replaced my tires there recently. They're expensive run-flats, so I'd shopped around. When I arrived, the total price was about $100 higher than the phone quote. No worries! Quote adjusted. Within a few days, the tire pressure light came on. I'd also noted the techs seemed to have dirtied up the cabinet (later I realized it could have been the shop that did a suspension rebuild). One tire was basically flat, and I had a cross-country trip on the horizon. So I complained. Ron contacted me personally and asked what would make me happy. I refused to answer, so he refunded me the cost of a tire. Told me to come in. Though the tire held air, he replaced it to be sure I was safe. Made sure I was happy. Yes, and a customer for life. Cut to 7k miles down the road, when I notice the insides of my front tires are literally ground down to the wire. Suspension rebuild guy never did the "free alignment." I don't know this yet, but I contact Ron (on his cell, which he gave me to make sure I would be well cared for) and he said it wasn't covered under the warranty, but he'd take care of me. He did. Comped one of the tires when I got back to town. Wow. Just as important is that Ron and his team showed authentic concern and care. Employees seem to genuinely enjoy the job, each other and their customers. Ron texted after both tire replacements to see how I was doing with my tires. I'm not used to such great service and care! I visited in December 2020 to change my tires. I got new tires and the cost was just over $500. My old ones had been driven on for 3 years so it was due for a change especially since I could barely drive with my old tires after a huge snowstorm in Cleveland. FREE TIRE ROTATIONS -- Once you come here for a service, you get free tire rotations every time you need them. SERVICE -- The service was amazing. Although there was a 10 minute wait when I arrived (in the afternoon), once I got up to the service counter desk, I was helped right away. After speaking to a gentleman about my tires, he suggested the type of tires I should get and the cost. I paid by debit card before the service was done but you can choose to pay after your car is fixed. Then after paying, I handed over my keys to him and sat in the waiting area. The whole process took about 2 hours until my car was ready. TIRES -- There are different options to choose from, all at different prices. Have a budget of how much you can truly afford and then decide what tire you want based on your price range. Don't get trapped with using a credit card because you will still have to pay that money back. Listen to the store associates advice because they are professionals and know what tires would be best for your car. WARRANTY -- I believe you can add some sort of Warranty on your tires so if something isn't right with them, you can return it for new tires at no additional cost. I was told I could get my tires replaced, free of charge I think, if I didn't like them. Overall, I'm glad my family told me about Discount Tires. So far, my tires are great and I am having a smooth driving experience. Been to this location twice and once at the Macedonia one. Great place. Had a blowout on my trailer. I called multiple towing companies and they all refused to tow. After I struck out at Lowes and Harbor Freight, I called DT to see if they had a 4.80-12 trailer tire in stock by some slim chance. Luckily they did. They closed at 5 and we got there at 4:40. I ordered and paid over $1300 for 4 Falken Wildpeak tires online and set appointment for 11/25/24. I arrived for the appointment, they take the tires off of my vehicle then come out to tell me they have an inventory glitch and don't have the tires I paid for. They wanted to sell me more expensive Michelin Defender tire that have a lower rating. Granted, that we're going to cover the difference, but it is a lower rated tire. They could get the Falkens, but not until after I am leaving out of town. So, I wasted over an hour of my time and have no new tires. You would think they would double check their physical inventory before they start working on a vehicle. read more

I had an 11:30 appointment to get my tires installed. I arrived at 11:20, waited 10 minutes to be helped. The service advisor told me it would be done between 12:30 & 12:45. I arrived back at 12:40 and my car was still in the parking lot and was never touched. I went back to same service advisor and asked what happened. Told me glitch in the system and my car service never loaded in the mechanic system. I purposely made an appointment so that I wouldn't be here too long & could get back to work. An hour & 50 half after my appointment time &I'm still waiting! My tires were purchased from tire rack and they are an installer. Because of the inconvenience they did offer me free tire rotation but the problem is I do that myself so it doesn't help me at all. read more

I had to drive a car from NH to TN. I could tell I threw a wheel weight since I had a bad vibration. I called Discount Tires and talked to Seamus. He told me to bring my car right in. When I got there I was immediately greeted. The car was put on a rack and all 4 tires were balanced and inspected. They even cleaned all 4 lug nut bolts. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. The level of service, the level of efficiency, and customer care was remarkable. I've owned a ton of cars over a lot of years. I have done business with America's tires and Discount tires before. PRICE - The price was the same as the lowest I could find online. That's not easy to accomplish when you run a brick & mortar store with employees. In addition, the install price was lower than nearby tire shops and the added lifetime benefits are the best in the area. Pretty easy choice. PRE-INSTALL - I ordered and set everything up on their website. I set the appointment for the following Tuesday. My tires arrived on the Friday before my appointment and Discount Tire called me to let me know they were in and offered an earlier appointment if I wanted one. Great touch! INSTALLATION - I arrived about 10 minutes early to see Evan hanging out in the parking lot. I parked and he greeted me at my car. By my car make/model, he knew who I was, what tires I bought and my appointment time. He checked me in even before I got into the store! I think he might be an international spy. Yeah, he's probably a spy. He complimented me on my tire selection, which validated my 6+ hour research journey choosing those tires. We got inside and did some paperwork, he took my keys and said the install would be 30-45 minutes. During the install a service person brought my wheel to me in the waiting room to show me that it was dented but DIDN'T TRY TO SELL ME ANYTHING. It was just an FYI. What's wrong with these people? Evan, in fact, lied to me (that's what spies do); the install was complete in 23 minutes. Needless to say, I was very happy with my purchase and visit! I have purchased tires a few times from there and they always have the best prices in town, and if they don't, they will be sure to beat the other guys. At 6:15 pm I discovered that some debris I drove over a couple days ago was nailed to my front left tire. It made a loud thumping sound as I drove, even at slow speeds. I arrived at Discount Tire at 6:25 pm only to discover that they closed at 6:00 but were still finishing up a couple cars. The desk clerk said he would take a look anyway. He decided there was a slow leak and the tire would need to be repaired. He had a technician fix my tire after hours and handed me a no charge receipt at 7:15, 75 minutes after they close. We normally buy lots of tires form discount. Last summer we traveled to New York for the summer and found the rims we bought from them didn't have a lock key. They never gave us a lock key for the rims. We called and asked if they could send us one and they said they would but never did. Unfortunately New York didn't have a discount tire store and most of the states we were traveling through didn't either. We traveled over 2000 miles without a rim key and very lucky we didn't have a flat. When we got home to Albuquerque we went and picked up the rim key they never mentioned why they never sent it or apologized. Very disappointed with customer service. read more

Went here about 2 years ago with my 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe. I was having trouble with a tire and they said they'd look at it for me for free and it'd take about an hour. About 30 minutes later they were done and my tire was fixed. Staff was friendly and I totally recommend going here. As a person who is very skeptical of places with the word "discount" "cheap" or "best" in the name, this place was not like any of the others. Found wheels online for $180 a piece and went to see if these guys could order them and dropped the price very significantly. Saved a bunch of money and had a great experience. They have a nice viewing window so you can watch everything they do. The manager, Chris, was very personable. Chris would walk in and out of the service area and check on us and tell us what was going on.
