Finally a ramen place opened up in the area! We had the shrimp tempura roll, popcorn chicken and tonkatsu ramen. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients in the shrimp tempura roll. The popcorn chicken was very juicy, and definitely more meaty than breading. Ample seasoning and not too salty. The chatsu in the ramen was flavorful and was definitely the highlight of the dish. One of the worst ramen I have ever had. Just had one an hour ago. The egg in the ramen and the broth were cold. The ramen tasted bitter. I guess now I know why I never went here. The chashu was extremely over cooked and I don't think it was not even pork belly. It looked like It was cooked days ago. I wanted shoyu but the lady asked me to get the other one. Shouldn't have listened to her. I was actually quite excited visiting a ramen place near my house which I thought never existed. I guess I know what not to visit next time. This place is AMAZING! We had gyoza and mini sausage appetizers - best we've ever had! We also had sashimi, sushi rolls and ramen - so so good!! We go to a lot of sushi/ramen restaurants and this tops them all. Not to mention the service is fast and friendly. The atmosphere in here is just really positive and welcoming. I came here for lunch and this place is excellent. The $12 Lunch Bento Box was a great deal! I got the steak teriyaki box and it came with white rice, a california roll, soup, and salad. The food was amazing, everything was very delicious. It came out super quick even with the 5 person party I came with and the server was very kind. I will be coming back often. read more

Ronin has the nicest staff around! SO friendly and pleasant every time we go in. They also have fantastic ramen and poke bowls. I've never gotten their sushi - it's darn expensive. But their fish is fresh, so I'm sure it's probably good. I also recommend the seaweed salad and the fried ice cream. read more

Solid experience but a bit pricy. I think only Ramen place in Norristown and I'm okay with that. I drove by a few times and saw "Ramen coming soon" on a hand painted sign so I knew it was going to be good. Drove and saw they were open so the girlfriend and I stopped in. For 6pm on a Saturday there was no wait which is great. The seating is tight so I can imagine this will be harder to get into once everyone knows it's open. Servers were nice and attentive. The apps were good. The menu said steamed or fried pork bun so we got one of each. The sell them individually for $5 which is a bit much and odd and there was some confusion about it being fried even though the menu gave both options ‍. The sushi was incredible. Best part of the meal. The salmon was so buttery and light but also more confusion because the menu read like you'd pick your own sushi for the box but it came with a California roll and we got charged separately for the salmon avocado. The ramen was did not disappoint. It was rich and one of the better ones I've tasted! 8/10. The broth was incredible but when I ask for it spicy they just gave me jalapeños which wasn't the spicy I'm used to the broth being. Also the topping and meat were light. It wasn't a very large ramen for $12. All in all I'll def give this place another go and would love to see more deluxe ramen offerings with things like bok choy, fish cake, bamboo shoots, etc. read more

We are brand new to the neighborhood, moved from NJ. We are vegetarian and sushi is one of our go to meals. Order some rolls; the broccoli tempura and sweet potato, and radish rolls were awesome. My family and I stopped by after shopping at KOP mall. Definitely worth the 15 min drive from the mall. We were greeted by very helpful host (who I assume is the owner) and seated right away. It was mildly busy at 7pm on a Saturday. The sushi is so fresh and the waiter introduced each item on the boat. We also had a few ramens, the egg was amazing! Definitely recommend!! read more

Keep in mind they just opened a week ago.... Sushi - Excellent quality. Not too much rice on the rolls. The wasabi was on point which is rare. Presentations was very nice. Ramen - Killer good! My expectations were high after reading so many favorable reviews, but our experience was not outstanding. Some things were good enough, but a couple things were not satisfactory. The service was good, the atmosphere was pleasant and clean, and the prices were reasonable. The steamed pork bao bun was inexcusably dry and tough, when it should have been moist and tender. I was actually kinda shocked at how bad the bun was.... did they microwave it too long or something? That was a troubling way to start the meal. The sushi deluxe entree was pretty good, although the tuna rolls that came with it were underwhelming. Also, the entree included a miso soup and small salad which were only brought out when I was more than half done with my sushi. They should have been brought out during the long wait while the chefs were preparing the sushi. The ramen was also just ok. The vegetables were too cool. Overall, it was good enough, and the food was ok, but, at least in our case, it suffered from some significant flaws read more

My husband and I were always complaining about the lack of variety of nearby restaurants. So when I saw Ronin opening within walking distance, and because I love sushi so much, I was very excited. And Ronin has not disappointed- we've made multiple orders trying different things on the menu, and have enjoyed everything had, including sushi, the fried pork bun (delicious!), and the ramen. Their marinated egg is the best tasting I've ever had. The ingredients look and taste fresh, and make us want to try more items. New Sushi/Ramen spot in West Norriton. The inside is simple and charming. It has clearly been renovated since its pizza days. There are 2 sushi chefs and one back of kitchen, with a separate person handling the orders and money. Our order was a simple take out order done online. It was ready when I popped in (I live very close by). Nicely presented and tasty. We intend to try their ramen which is my real love the next time. Worthwhile neighborhood spot to support. read more
