The best donuts! Not too sweet. Dough is perfect. Fast service and lady owner is so friendly and even gave an extra donut coz it's Mother's Day. Will be our donut place when in Vegas. Place is small and clean. Plenty of parking.

Ronald's donuts !! Over 1200 reviews for a small mom and pop donut shop I had to make my way here. As soon as I walked in. I knew they would be good. The color and size of the donuts were beautiful I always get a glaze. Cause to be a great donut shop you need to be able to make a great glazed donut. They nailed it. Great texture. And most importantly not oily at all Maple bar. Had the perfect amount of thickness to the maple. Texture of the dough was nice with a bit of chew. And not oily. I did come later in the day. I can't wait to come back super early in the morning when the doughnuts are a bit more fresh. Lady who helped me was extra nice also !!!

    Mixed deliciousness!

Finally, after many years and visits- I'm writing a review for Ronald's Donuts! This spot is a true Las Vegas gem! The moment you walk in, the smell of fresh donuts hits you in the face! Every item here is freshly made, by the owner operators. The donuts are huge, soft, and perfectly sweet without being over the top. Ronalds offers a ton of vegan options too! Super fluffy & flavorful and every bit as good as all the classic versions. Maple bars, jelly-filled, glazed and twists - there's something for everyone. *Fresh, delicious and generous in size. *Friendly old-school vibe. *Ronald's Donuts never disappoints!

Ronald's has some huge donuts, close to the strip. Lots of flavors, donuts have great flavors. Very fluffy.

Stopped by here to pickup donuts for a client visit.... The employee that was working was really nice and cool...grabbed about 2 dozen donuts and told him to choose what he wants for me....price is about what most standard donuts shops charge now per dozen....Great variety and really cool dude. The place isn't full of over priced expensive donuts which is great since I'm tired of seeing that at many of the newer donut shops.....

Love coming here for Vegan doughnuts. So many delicious choices! They are so kind and nice.. I love it here.

Very fresh, large and delicious donuts. The real gem is the apple burritos. Prices are very reasonable compared to other places. Service was fast & friendly. Cute donut shop in a strip mall. Also sells ice cream, with lots of vegan options. Glazed donut was huge, so fluffy and perfect. Easy to find & park. Great breakfast on my way out of Vegas.

    Nice!

Great tasting doughnuts with good texture when you bite into them. Service was quick and easy. Regular doughnuts shop ambiance.

Incredible service, and some of the best donuts I've ever had. They were out of maple bacon, but they had maple bars so they added bacon to them for me. Highly recommend the maple bacon, vegan and pork versions are both delicious. And you would NEVER know the vegan donuts were vegan. They have Boston cream that's vegan too, delicious. The "fancies" on the top shelf cost more than the ones below, so make sure you think of that when buying. Their top sellers are the apple fritters, so if you like those then this spot is for you. Hope the store is here for a long time to come!

The spinach twist were so crazy this time around the lady said her son made them a little too big. I can only eat a fourth of it and I was done . But like the cinnamon rolls. This place truly never disappoints. It's always good when craving it. It clearly hits the spot. I would recommend this place to anyone. The owners are always so friendly.

Serving Las Vegas since 1973, Henry and Janie Kang regularly on-site since taking over more than thirty years ago, Ronald's Donuts is something of a Las Vegas icon thanks to both its longevity and early adoption of Vegan practices in line with the Buddhist ownership. A small shop that has grown its offerings amidst growing competition, Bagels, Ice Cream and Boba now all part of the line-up, little has changed in Ronald's décor over the past twenty years aside from a willingness to accept credit cards and a few Maneki-neko that were not present before. Similar to many So.Cal. Donut shops, right down to pink boxes and Formica tables, Vegan options occupy the top two shelves and are assuredly free of Milk, Butter or Eggs while those beneath are made more traditionally. Heavier than Friendly or PinkBox, at least as relates to Yeasted Rings with commercial Glazes, Cake Donuts are small with a dry Crumb that isn't particularly enjoyable aside from the cogwheel Old Fashion that is better than most.

Not bad but I feel the ratios of filling can be improved, maybe more filling and less dough matrix. I still like Krispy Kreme better. Service was quick and super super friendly. Kudos to him.

I've been visited this place for 10 years I bought 3 dozens of regular donuts and 1 dozen of donut holes. Love it, the price is already over $100 +. I know that price has been changed compared to 10 years ago. As you know, it's not a lot if you compared other things lately. I'm surprised how they are maintain the certain price point so far. The size of the donut is huge! It's bigger than my face. I bought a lot since I'd like to share with my coworkers and my in laws. They all like these donut no matter of the age. The service is always great. We always had conversation while I chose the donuts. That location is also really good in China town. I can visit that place whatever the schedule for that day and easy parking. I can visit there early morning and buy them a lot :) Definitely, I will keep going back this place

Ronald's Donuts Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Ronald's Donuts

    Are mask still required?

    Not required. Just optional.

Are they cash-only or do they take card now?

I called yesterday and they now accept debit and credit cards!!

What kind of flour is used in your vegan donut?

Are these "vegan" donuts that they CLAIM (which are the top two rows ) are they REALLY truly 100% Vegan?

Yes ! They been around for over 27 years.

Has Ronald's been sold? Are there new owners? Are vegan donuts still being made? I would love to see a sign for the donuts that are, if you still make vegan donuts?

The couple that've been running it for years has sold it several months ago. Rest assured they still make the vegan donuts and when you're there the new family running it can point them out.

Amazing donuts! But do they use white (non-vegan) sugar?

I asked and it is vegan sugar. It's called sprakles.

Do they often run out of Vegan donuts before the day ends?

Yes. You have to get there early. And remember only the top two shelves are usually vegan only. Make sure to ask first.

Are any of these gluten free?

No. Many vegan, but no gluten free

    Do they use Peanuts?

    They do, yes.

Anyone know what kind of oil they use to fry the donuts?

Don't know but they are the best donuts in town

    Does Ronald's ship internationally?

    Not to my knowledge.

What's usually the best time to get the donuts hot and fresh?

About an hour after they open or so, however they make their donuts for the day in the morning before they open so they're always guaranteed fresh!

Do they use any nut ingredients for their vegan donuts?

    Yes they do.

    Are this donuts gluten free?

    Unfortunately they are not

    Any gluten free donuts? ?

    I hope not

    Do they offer vegan donuts?

Yes, the top 2 rows of donuts are vegan.

    Open on xmas eve?

I believe they will be. They usually close at 2pm, so they may close earlier if there isn't much traffic.

    Do they have nutella doughnuts?

Probably not. It's more of a traditional donut shop....rather than funky gourmet donuts.

**Chef Kenny's Vegan Dim Sum: A Bold Exploration of Plant-Based Chinese Cuisine**…read more Chef Kenny's Vegan Dim Sum presents a thoughtful and imaginative reinterpretation of traditional Chinese dim sum. It perfectly caters to those who follow a plant-based diet while simultaneously captivating the palates of diners like myself, who typically enjoy meat-centric dishes. As I set out on this culinary adventure, I approached it skeptically, wondering how well classic flavors could be recreated without animal products. However, the experience was both enlightening and delicious, showcasing the rich tapestry of vegan cuisine while honoring its roots in Chinese gastronomy. My dining experience commenced with a delightful assortment that included Vegan Siu Mai, Bean Curd Rolls, and Hargow, each prepared with remarkable attention to detail and an evident dedication to the craft. The Vegan Siu Mai featured delicate, handcrafted wrappers enclosing a savory filling. This filling, made from a thoughtfully blended mix of plant-based ingredients, artfully mimicked the umami richness typically found in its traditional pork counterpart, creating a satisfying and deep dish. Next, the Bean Curd Rolls offered a delightful textural contrast. Each roll was perfectly crispy on the outside, delivering a satisfying crunch that gave way to a tender and flavorful interior, showcasing the craftsmanship involved in creating vegan versions of beloved appetizers. The Hargow was particularly impressive, boasting a translucent skin that practically shimmered on the plate. The subtle yet profoundly satisfying filling provided an authentic taste that highlighted the skill required in replicating such a cherished classic dish. To add a bit of variety to my meal, I ventured outside the plant-based menu with an order of non-vegan lettuce wraps. While these wraps diverged from the overall theme, they pleasantly added a fresh, crisp counterpoint to my meal, reminding me of the versatility and adaptability inherent in Chinese cuisine. The crisp lettuce provided a refreshing crunch and beautifully complemented the rich flavors of the other dishes. During my visit, Chef Kenny's apparent mastery in expertly replicating the complex umami flavors and diverse textures typically associated with traditional dim sum resonated with me. The plant-based substitutes utilized throughout the menu, such as Beyond Meat, were handled with remarkable expertise, allowing for dishes that simultaneously felt familiar and innovative. Though I cannot categorize myself as a strict vegan convert, I left with a newfound appreciation for the creativity and dedication Chef Kenny and his culinary team pour into every plate. For those adhering to a vegan lifestyle, this restaurant may serve as a beacon of gastronomic delight, firmly establishing that plant-based cuisine can honor time-honored traditions and present exciting, unique culinary experiences. Meanwhile, for non-vegans, it offers an excellent opportunity to step outside their familiar gastronomic boundaries and explore the endless possibilities of vegan cooking. Whether you are a curious diner or a devoted vegan, Chef Kenny's Vegan Dim Sum deserves a spot on your culinary itinerary. It is an experience that promises to surprise, satisfy, and inspire.

Since it was our first time, they gave us a chance to look over the menu and ask questions. They were very accommodating to our requests for substitutions and even recooked our French fries to make them softer. My son and I shared the Salami sandwich with fries and I also got the southern fried oyster mushrooms with a Housemade dragonfruit lemonade. My son despises any vegan cheese or vegan mayo and he tore this sandwich UP! He even added extra mayo on his half of the sandwich. The olive jalapeño tapenade was tasty and really pulled the sandwich together but it was slightly spicy so careful to those who are sensitive to spice. The southern seasoned oyster mushrooms were so flavorful. The batter was light and crispy, the mushrooms were sliced thick and not too thin. One of the best I've ever had. The lemonade was okay. Could have used more flavor and more sweetener. Overall, I will definitely be back to try some more items on the menu.

I've spent every birthday, some holidays, date nights, and random dinner outings at this restaurant. Out of all the times I've been here. I probably had three not so great experiences which isn't bad because I've been here a lot. But I'm pretty disappointed at this last visit. The scallopini Parmesan was DELICIOUS as well as the side of grilled artichokes. But it was extremely small. The drinks were decent. The charred leeks appetizer is NOT at all what you would think. There were four tiny, sliced leeks and four small pieces of grapefruit, which isn't even mentioned on the menu nor do I like. It was served cold, which also threw me off. Not a good appetizer and not in any way shape or form worth $18. We also got the leaks and risotto side. The risotto was not cooked thoroughly and was hard. It's laid out on the plate to make it look like a decent amount but yet again a very small small portion, especially for the price. I should've stuck with the basics. The zucchini blossoms the cigars and the scallopini Parmesan are probably the best things on the menu and consistently good. I get excited to try new things, but it seems to just end up being disappointing lately. There was also finally a new dessert which was a Matcha cake, but of course it was out. Probably for the best since all the new stuff seems to be a thumbs down this season. Our server was super nice though, and staff was very attentive as far as setting down new plates and clearing finished ones. Little things like that are appreciated. And I don't think they ever let our water glass get empty. I usually like to sit further back inside the restaurant but we sat in the very front by the rail this time which was a nice change and got to do some "people watching". It's a more casual feel area. Side note-I'm not sure what's going on with the lack of uniform for the hostesses, but it's not a very classy look for such a nice restaurant

We came around 10 PM and were given prime seating at a booth with an incredible view. We ordered the Korean wings, pork belly buns, Brussels sprouts, and Wagyu Ny strip. Everything was phenomenal, and I would definitely order again. Wings - I really feel like Asian wings are the absolute GOAT and the ones here are no different. They're fried to perfection with a nice crispy exterior and tender juicy meat. If you like Asian wings, these ones here are pretty hard to beat. Pork belly buns - MUST ORDER! the fattiness from the pork just pairs so well with the freshness from the scallion and cucumbers. Plus a little sweetness from the sauce coupled with the soft buns? 6/5 stars. Wagyu strip - Seriously delicious, and the sauce that they use is heavenly. I usually prefer fattier cuts like ribeyes, but this one really holds its own weight amongst ribeyes. Service was amazing as well, wish I had more money to tip them even more that's how good they treat you.
