I used to live around the corner from Carl's and am sad to admit I didn't take advantage of that fact as much as I should have. You never know how good you've got it until something is gone/ not as easily accessible. Now I live across town but was allured back on National Donut Day by some cool merch and yummy donuts. Carl's is a fun spot with lots of space for seating (both indoor and outdoor). They have a variety of options, whether your preference is savory or sweet. I had to exercise self control and only get half a dozen donuts, which included a couple cake donuts with icing and sprinkles, their arguably famous Devil's Food Cake with icing, an Oreo cinnamon roll, and a Bavarian cream-filled. My husband and I enjoyed everything but had especially rave reviews for the Devil's Food Cake. It was decadent and rich. It was filling and utterly divine. Despite how busy they were for National Donut Day, their staff was friendly, high energy, and well-organized, moving people through expediently while answering any questions we might have. As more small business close these days, it's a rarity to see an institution like Carl's celebrating 60 years in our community. Picked up this huge box and everything was bakery-fresh and delicious. The cinnamon roll was massive and gooey, the chocolate and maple long johns were perfect, and the orange swirl with whipped cream was a fun standout. Classics like the chocolate sprinkle and powdered sugar ones were spot-on too. Fast friendly service, neat packaging, and that fresh-fry smell hits hard when you walk in. No-frills spot but exactly what you want for real donuts. Highly recommend will definitely be back! read more

Had the pleasure of trying these donuts since there was a little setup of Carl's Donuts inside of Am/Pm. The donuts were fresh and I grabbed several because when I went inside, they were being delivered. These donuts were a little on the sweeter side, but the chocolate glazed donut had amazingly delectable rich chocolate flavor, enough to coat your teeth. Price was $2/donut. read more

Had seen Carl's on Instagram. Looked good so finally had the chance to visit. Staff are welcoming upon arrival. They have lots of options. The cinnamon rolls looked great but I prefer the traditional icing not the cream cheese version. The quiche was great. The donuts are great but icing is a bit rich. Granted it's been a bit since I've had that much sugar. There's plenty of room to sit and enjoy your selection. read more

One of the best donut in town in my opinion. They have a vast selections from donuts and savory pastries. Map direction kind of got us confused, we ended up in the back office of Carl's donut but we figured it out hahaha Service is fast, & good, you can come in here grab a donut & coffee. After seeing some mixed reviews, I decided to give this place a try... and I'm glad I did. I liked it and was very happy with the service. It may not be the absolute best donut in Vegas, but it's very close. If you're looking for more than just donuts, I'd definitely recommend stopping in, they do a great job. I enjoyed a sandwich and a coffee, and the basic maple donut was the perfect way to finish the meal. I'll absolutely be coming back here for lunch breaks. Can't believe I haven't given more love to Carl's Donuts in years! Still my absolute favorite donut shop here in Vegas. They have the BEST donuts for sure! My husband and I made the drive here because every first football sunday of the season, we get Carl's donuts in the morning. We got a dozen donuts and everything was so tasty and delicious. The price is also super reasonable, too. One of my favorite things about Carl's is that they don't put too much sugar on top of the donuts. I don't love overly sweet donuts and these are literally perfect. Definitely recommend Carl's! They're THE BEST! read more

If you feel like eating in, there's plenty of tables and beverages and other savory snacks to choose from. My favorite was the pb and j, the funnel cake Apple fritter was the most disappointing (because I had the highest expectations). I LOVE this place. I've come here a few times now and have yet to be disappointed. It's a great local spot. I opted for their box of a dozen and got a lot of variety. I have had their items at multiple community events (I love that they come out and support different events), so I needed to see what other options they have in store. I ended up with a Dubai Chocolate option, Blueberry Lemon roll, a croissant with garlic and parmesan, chocolate muffin, chocolate twist, cheese Danish, a salted caramel donut, chocolate brownie, red velvet donut, and a few other options. They were all so delicious and mouthwateringly good. I really did like the brownie and the croissant...such a winning combination with those flavors. I usually come to this spot when I have a craving for sweets and this usually cures it. The staff must have sensed my confusion on what to get and were able to provide me with a ton of suggestions. Thankfully they were very patient with me because of my indecisiveness. Thank you for the help and for the fun treats. Family business, I think they are on their 3rd generation - which is so sweet. They have so many options you should go with a big group so you can try a lot of things without getting diabetes. We opted for a stuffed option and a cereal on top choice, both amazing. The oreo topped one is also just as you'd imagine. Service was quick like a typical donut shop, but the options were so unique (but they still have the standard donuts too). Great location, ample parking, great staff. I love the idea of fresh homemade donuts being made locally. Carl's Donuts has been a local favorite for a long time and I can see why. The donuts are big and fluffy and don't weigh you down after eating. The Bavarian Cream filled ones have a good cream to donut ratio. The cruellers are airy and come ykszed or sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. Both are great choices. The chocolate classic round and bar shaped ones have a good chocolate taste that doesn't taste too artificial. The cheese danish is so soft and filled with creamy cheese filling. The classic raspberry jelly filled donut was fruity and light. The big takeaway is that everything was not overly sweet, the donuts themselves are fluffy, and the price was very reasonable. The hot section is interesting as it has much more filling items such as a veggie egg croissant, the ham and cheese (which was very good), and a BBQ brisket croissant sandwich that was loaded with brisket and was filling. Definitely a lunch item if you want to save it for later. There is plenty of seating inside and a myriad of families and couples were coming and going. The place is clean though and had a section for T-shirt merchandise and stickers. They had fresh squeezed orange juice as an option which I appreciate. Service was quick and friendly considering it can get busy, but they keep it moving along. Definitely give this spot a try for your next morning donut run. read more

Carl's Donuts is hands down our favorite donut shop. Anytime we need to bring something to share with a group or take treats to a party, this is the first place we go -- we usually end up buying dozens because everything is just that good. My family and I honestly don't enjoy donuts from the big franchise shops anymore because once you've had Carl's, nothing else compares. Their donuts are always incredibly fluffy, fresh, and delicious every single time. You can really taste the difference in quality, and it makes all the chain donuts feel disappointing in comparison. One important tip: get there early. They close at 2pm, and if you go too late, chances are everything will be sold out or only the less popular flavors will be left. That alone tells you how good and in-demand their donuts are. On top of amazing donuts, the service is always fast and friendly, which makes every visit a great experience. Carl's Donuts is truly a must-try if you love good donuts. read more

Update: Jade M did not help my wife with her order and so it was too late as we had been rung up. If we had purchased a dozen items we would have gotten a discount. Jade M instead chose not to help my wife by suggesting a twelfth item. We spent over $50 and this is the service she chose to provide us. Thanks for nothing. Also no greeting and no smiles from her. Jade M is ruining what was the best donut shop in town. Orange juice was still delicious. The quiche is yummy. And of course the donuts are perfect. Too bad about the service. I didn't know about this donut place, I was actually looking at cars at a small dealership in the plaza and saw Carls Donuts in the corner, didn't leave with a car that day but definitely left with a dozen of donuts. The bakery was very clean and the staff welcomed me and my husband instantly when we walked in. There's so much choices of goodies to choose from, they didn't just offer donuts. There's something for everyone and anyone, we went with a dozen of classics, it was very quiet in there around 11am on a Saturday so we were excited there was still a lot to choose from. The donuts itself were very tasty! It didn't taste oily or leave an oil residue on the roof of your mouth, it was very soft and yummy! We will be back for more! It's worth the 25 minute drive from our house. read more

We are always looking for the perfect yeast, donut, and maple bars, and chocolate bars - light and airy. The best we ever had is in Merced, California. We haven't had good luck with donuts in Las Vegas. This donuts are good, but nothing exceptional. The peanut butter and jelly was interesting; you don't see them often. This is a really cute place. Tried them out for the first time by ordering a surprise bag from the Too Good To Go app. Received a variety box to share with my family and everyone enjoyed it! Our recent visit was very different than our past visits that made us fall in love with Carl's Donuts. The attendant who served us was unpleasant with an attitude that was not warranted (very off par for the phenomenal and friendly service that Carl's is known for). Perhaps it was an off day for her (it's understandable, we all can have them). Then, I was oddly charged for my order. I ordered two individual classic donuts, one specialty donut, one ham and cheese crossaint, one jalapeño and cheese crossaint, and one double chocolate crossaint. Yet I was charged for a half dozen of donuts, a specialty donut, and the three crossaints individually. When I inquired about how the order was rung up, the explanation I was given was, "Well, because you have 6 items total, that's the base price. Everything else is added as an upcharge." Even with that explanation, the total charged still did not add up. Asking again because I shared I did not understand how that was tallied based upon the sparse prices listed on the board, and that I did not order (nor receive) a half dozen of donuts, I was then told an even more confused explanation. Seeing that I was getting nowhere, I said thank you and went on my way. So what I gather from this visit is that customer service is deteriorating and it seems that Carl's has started to charge a certain amount depending on how the cashier feels to charge? This is reflected by their items not having advertised individual price tags. You'll notice some items on the board giving a price range instead (for example: Pastries $2 - $7). Hopefully, this was just an "off day" for Carl's Donuts. After this visit, though, I won't be going out of my way to stop by. read more

Amazing donuts , especially the cinnamon rolls . Went to store on ( 4-3-2026 and 4 - 4 - 2026 ) staff wasn't too friendly . Kind of seemed like they didn't want to be there . I usually come Tuesdays and Wednesday's Staff is much friendlier . read more

The red velvet donut is a must try it was so good! They had lots of options to choose from it was hard to pick. We went a couple hours before closing and there was still a large variety of donuts and they tasted great! Definitely make a stop if you can read more

Meet the Manager: Amber R.

Las Vegas native and grand daughter to the founders of Carls Donuts (est. 1966) Amber Ramsay has over 20 years experience in the bakery. Amber got her start in the family business at just 10 years old by packing donuts for their deliveries after school. Amber continued to work at Carl’s throughout her schooling and became a full time employee in 2010. In 2016 the family was ready to make their return to retail after operating as a wholesale only bakery since 2000. Amber was the driving force behind their return, opening their Sunset location in 2018. Amber, now the CMO of Carl’s Donuts continues to hold on to the brands nostalgia of a classic donut shop while incorporating new flavors and trends to keep up with current times. Over the course of the last 6 years, Amber and her team have reclaimed the popularity that Carl’s once had with Las Vegas locals all while building an international fan base online.

The creme brûlée donut was stale tasting, there was hardly any creme filling and what was there tasted like nothing. I am pretty sure that these donuts are only famous because they are Instagram worthy and influencers like it, but it's a terrible donut. The donuts are definitely couture and the pricing reflects that. Love the brioche dough and custom flavors. The guava cheese is delicious, the ube coconut was delightful, and the creme brûlée is a must. If you want something savory too, give the pizza a try. I enjoyed the pickle pizza. I'd recommend bringing others so you can try as many flavors as possible and get a few pictures as the decor as a bit of an "Instagram-able" vibe.

This particular location was smaller than I anticipated and doesn't sell any clothing merch. The staff was GREAT here though, answered my many questions, and had a smile on her face the whole time. As for the donuts, the flavor options are incredible here. Ultimately, went with a couple classics in chocolate and cinnamon roll and a couple fancier flavors in peanut butter and jelly and banana pudding. All of the donuts were fresh and had an incredible flavor. PBJ would probably be my favorite of the ones I tried, as it was a perfect balance of the flavors without either overpowering the other. Back to the merch, there are other stores that aren't too far that you can pick some up, or you can do what I did and go to the website and pay to have it shipped. I'm still waiting for it to ship/arrive, so I can't speak to the quality yet. Seems like Pinkbox is still growing, so it shouldn't be hard to find a location in town when you're craving a donut. Ultimately, there is no such thing as a bad donut!

There's usually a line, so if you show up at peak hours, be prepared to wait. Parking is limited and kind of sucks, so bring patience--it goes a long way.

We also wanted to order mimosas, but were told they were out of champagne, which was disappointing. It was surprising for a breakfast restaurant to run out of champagne for mimosas during brunch service. After we finished, the server brought the check but never came back to process our payment. We waited nearly 20 minutes just to pay and leave, but no one followed up, so we left cash on the table and walked out. This was our fourth visit, and we've had better experiences before, but Wednesday's service was unacceptable and left us with a very negative impression.
