I was in the area and browsing Yelp when I stumbled upon Blooming Buns. Looking through their photos, the cookies enticed me and I decided to take a stroll over to this bakery. Very small interior, but a vast selection of treats. They offer donuts, cookies, even banana bread! Unfortunately with my evening visit, all of the donuts were sold out. Again, I came for the cookies so not a problem. I chose the Cookie Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie as well as the White Chocolate Chip Ube. I took them home as take out. Despite cooling down a bit, they stayed pretty warm (I still microwaved for good measure). These cookies are incredibly gooey, not at all cakey, and just sweet enough to still be flavorful. As we headed into Vegas we had every intention to hit another more "viral" donut shop but despite the viral nature, the actual reviews were a little lackluster and I happened upon this spot accidentally.... Best decision ever to go here!! Blooming buns does a brioche style donut, as well as fancy topped cinnamon buns and fat special cookies. Something that intrigued me that I did not indulge and wish now I had- they have savory donuts! Maybe next time. As for what we did try- I had a milk and cereal donut and a crème brûlée donut, my daughter had a mango marscapone and strawberry cheesecake flavors. When you order them, you wait about 5 minutes because they're actually filling and setting up presentation as you order them, ensuring everything is super fresh. The donuts themselves were soft, pleasantly sweet without being overly so, and very obviously freshly baked. The fillings were DELICIOUS, my milk and cereal filling was a perfect subtle cream. No tickly teeth from overly sweet madness, this filling was perfection. The fruity pebbles trim added the perfect crunch and flavor kick. I really enjoyed it- but the real winner for me was the crème brûlée- it was *perfection* with the exact thin, shiny, toasted crunch you want on anything crème brûlée. Love this place! I've been here a few times and honestly haven't had something I didn't enjoy. I usually pick up brionuts for the office - they're perfect for special occasions. I appreciate that their pastries are beautiful, but are not compromised in taste. They've added a few new items since my last visit and I'm excited to give them a try sometime. I wish I was able to try their Dubai chocolate items, but I wasn't able to this time around. It is always clean inside and the staff always courteous. You have to wait a little bit to get your items, but it is worth it as they're perfectly boxing up your items and not rushing through it at all. My only wish is that this place wasn't so far for me! I tried Blooming Buns for the first time on my recent trip to Vegas this weekend and it did not disappoint. First, staff was super friendly and welcoming and explained their menu and item selections. The donuts were very fresh, fluffy, and just mouthwatering-delicious. They have a huge selection of yummy flavors like Dubai chocolate, pumpkin cheesecake, and hazelnut cheesecake. Every flavor we tried was amazing. The crème brûlée flavor was my favorite. It had a delicious brûlée custard on top and was filled with cream. So delicious. Their donuts were perfectly sweet and not overly sweet like donuts can be. This little donut shop is a gem in Vegas. It's very small but you can order ahead. I saw Blooming Buns scrolling through social media and made a quick decision to drive from Hendo to give them a go. These brioche style doughnuts beignets and the blueberry cinnamon roll are all delicious and the young lady up front was super helpful and walked me through plenty options. I also tried an iced matcha that didn't quite hit for me (not the best by far but not worst I've ever had either). My wife surprised me with these for my birthday a few weeks ago... I was hungover at the time.. could barely eat, and hold food down, but when I tasted these amazing treats I KID YOU NOT. Yelp Review 2024 #177: The first time I've had anything from Blooming Buns was over 3 years ago. Blooming Buns has always been a solid choice for drinks and sweets. This review is for my visit this morning in comparison to my first ever visit. Before going to the gym, i decided I'd start my day here. I was the first customer of the day when they opened at 7am. I was expecting people waiting in line at the door because of their newest viral items: Dubai chocolate everything! That's what I came here to get. The gentleman behind the counter was super polite and chipper without being annoying - and I made sure I complimented him. That's the kind of vibe and customer service I need in my life especially that early on a Sunday morning. I failed to get his name though. I got their Dubai chocolate in brownie, brionut, crobun, and cookiebun versions...for research purposes, of course. I got excited to see they have Choco Coconut Cake doughnut which is a discontinued flavor that I used to love as a child (at a big-nameD Doughnut chain). I managed to earn a free item so, I got an ensaimada. The nice gentleman told me it would take a moment to prepare my order which I already expected from my several visits here. They only make small batches of things and finish prepping when you place your order in order for customers to get the best and freshest product possible. I'd rather wait than have subpar product quickly. After 10 minutes, my box of goodies was handed to me by their young chef. Let me focus on the chocolatey pistachio Dubai Chocolate treats, they're all 4-5 star worthy. I'll just rank them according to my most favorite and will keep ordering again and again: #1: Brionut - the softness of the brioche doughnut with the crunchy kataifi keeps your mouth guessing #2: Crobun - softer more dense than your typical croissant plus the crunch from the kataifi # 3: Cookiebun - a huge chocolate chip cookie topped with chocolate, pistachio cream sprinkled with chopped pistachios. #4: Brownie - you have to have a big mouth to be able to eat this like a sandwich or eat it with a fork. Pistachio butter and kataifi in the middle of 2 brownies drizzled with chocolate, pistachio cream sprinkled with pistachios. I'm from the generation of infomercials on TV and was a sucker that bought inflatable couches and pans at 11pm. If you don't know what that is, it's okay. But my husband and I walked in here and got like a full on live infomercial type of demo/explanation because it was our first time. Finding the bakery was a little surprise, an unassuming store front in a small strip shopping center. I couldn't believe nobody was there! I parked right in front of the door and walked in and was immediately greeted. The young lady working was so nice, asking if I'd been in before when I told her no she explained everything to me. Was looking for a sweet treat when I decided to stop by Blooming Buns! I came around 11:30 am on a Friday, and the shop was decently busy. I ordered a few of the fall brionuts and tried the viral Dubai chocolate brionut. I also ordered an iced Caramel Honeycomb Oatchata Seasalt Foam. The brionuts are high quality and definitely delicious! The drink was also tasty and had the perfect balance of sweetness. I appreciated that the honey wasn't overshadowed by the caramel! As much as I enjoy Blooming Buns, I have some complaints. By 11:30 am, most of the brionuts were already sold out and no signs were posted indicating which flavors were unavailable. Also, my drink was mostly full of large ice, so I only took a few sips before it was gone :( Finally, the prices of each brionut are steep at almost $6-7 each. I've been to Blooming Buns Bakehouse before and had great experiences, but today was extremely disappointing. I arrived around 1:30 pm and waited over 30 minutes for a single cinnamon roll while multiple customers ahead of me -- including someone who ordered in advance -- were also still waiting. Orders were being brought out in pieces, with repeated apologies and vague time estimates. When I asked about my order, I was told they weren't sure when it would be ready. Due to not feeling well, I couldn't continue standing around and said I needed to leave if it wasn't done. Only then was my order brought out. Unfortunately, the cinnamon roll wasn't warm and tasted like it had been sitting out, which was surprising since their baked goods are usually excellent. Given the high prices, this level of service and quality was disappointing. Response to the Owner, Thank you for reaching out, however, as I stated, people who were ahead of me weren't even getting their full orders. After parking right in front, we gazed upon the multiple options of bakery delights. Its a small shop in the front with some seating. The display made my mouth water. I loved being able to see the actual product. The cashier was super helpful in telling us the most popular options. The only thing I didn't love is that even though they were on display- they did not have any "sold out" signs so we got up there with our 6 options for the buy 5- get 1 free, and two of our choices were sold out. Made me feel scrambled. Here is what we tried: 1. Creme Brule Brionut: the creme brulee has a nice crunch, the cream is freshly pipped with your choice of vanilla or chocolate. The vanilla was delish! 2. Ube Coconut Cream: i loved the additional honeycomb crunch. The Ube was light, almost more vanilla unfortunately. 3. Pumpkin Pie Cream: the donut was the same base but the cream was delish. I loved the spice the pumpkin brought and the honeycomb was nice, but didn't compliment as well as it did for the Ube. 4. Dubai Crobun: i loved the crossiant take on this chocolate. The interior was the perfect crispy crunch and sweet bite. It was $13 for this specific pastry Salty Pastry: 1. Everything Bagel: this one had a nice salty touch. I loved the cream cheese, it was such a great cut of non sweet bite. 2. Garlic Cheese Bun: i loved that this came slightly warm. It was a bit messy with the cream interior, but still good! Overall it was a good array of options. I was just trying to look at all the options available when he started to give me a "tour" of the menu. The options were very clear, I was just making decisions for me and my family. Once I made my decision he then tired to upsell me even more with a "buy 5 get one free deal" (I was only planning on getting 3 items) and trying to upsell me on drinks. Stopped by this cute business when I was in the area. I will say for a small shop the variety is impressive. I got there a bit toward the afternoon and there was a lot sold out sadly. I was told that it's very much encouraged to go early. I also checked and you can call and pay over the phone so they can put things aside for you if you don't think you'll make it in time. When I asked for recommendations from what was still in stock, I was directed to all things Dubai chocolate and their filled donuts. I ended up ordering an iced dulce de leche honeycomb coffee, an order of the viral dubai chocolate strawberries, a strawberry cheesecake bun and a hazelnut basque cheesecake bun. The iced coffee was good but not as sweet as the name led me to believe. Once you mix the drink well and the honeycomb dissolves, it does get significantly sweeter. The hazelnut bun was a hit with me. I'm a fan of hazelnut spreads and the thing I love about the filling is that it wasn't overly sweet. It was subtle but still getting the hazelnut through. The strawberry I personally wasn't a big fan of as I thought it was pretty sweet but I did get it for my niece and she did enjoy it. I believe it just depends on how much of a strawberry flavor fan you are in the end. Last but definitely not least, the viral Dubai chocolate strawberries were better than I expected. I will say it was on the pricier side but considering it is a viral trend right now I expected as much. They do have different pastries with the Dubai chocolate trend as well as bars so if you're looking for it on this side of town... Here you go! Such an amazing spot. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this business through Yelp, otherwise I don't think I would've ever found this place. When we walked inside, we were greeted with a beautiful display of Brioche Donuts. I wasn't aware, but this is their specialty. They also have different options for fresh beignets, as well as an extensive coffee/tea list. Next time I visit, I am 100% going to try one of their "Oatchatas." They sounded delicious. As for the donuts, we ended up getting the Buy 5 get 1 free deal because there were too many good flavors to choose from. We got the Caramel Honeycomb, Ube Coconut, Dulce de Leche, Churro, Strawberry Cheesecake, and my favorite which was the Lemon Blueberry.
