So I knew when I walked in this was a fast casual (or maybe a hybrid artisan quality) boba shop but I was on a mission to try a bonafide Korean banana milk. Oh but I didn't stop there... To give them a fair shake compared to tea shops like Teaspoon, Joah Boba, Pink Cactus, Kung Fu, Boba All Day, etc., I also got the Assam Strawberry Yuzu, Roasted Oolong Milk Tea, and, not one, but TWO kinds of Mochi Donuts after reading their rousing endorsement poster at the patio entrance. I liked everything! But I do think 1/2 sweet (or less) on the drinks here is plenty. Korean Banana Milk w/ Boba. 4/5. It was about what I imagined but even better! I knew it was probably artificial banana flavor because real bananas brown too quickly for boba shops to use practically. Even though it was artificially flavored, the banana milk tasted fresh and not too cloying or floral like Banana Runts candies. I could see this being an addicting drink for many! Assam Strawberry Yuzu. 4/5. Their take on a bougie Strawberry Lemonade. I really enjoyed the bright, citrusy taste of Yuzu so this was a no-brainer. I was really impressed that it was chock-full of real strawberries! For this reason, I would recommend omitting the boba, which might muddy up the flavors. Roasted Oolong Milk Tea w/ Boba. 4/5. I'm not sure this was a powdered mix or brewed base but, frankly, I didn't care! I appreciated the robust roasted, nutty, sweet flavors of this one. Hazelnut Almond Toffee/Dubai Chocolate Mochi Donut. 3/5. It's been a while since my last Mochinut and though Mama Chai's had some more inventive flavors, the base dough wasn't as crisp and chewy as I'd hoped. Just a lighter, finer crumb than a raised yeast donut. Not my favorite mochi donut but Mama Chai does a good take on the ubiquitous Dubai Chocolate flavor that is trending everywhere. Message for board-game playing patrons: Show some support and respect for the business owners and clean up after yourselves! I wasn't there to play that day but as a mom and a board game junkie, my eye couldn't help but twitch as I instinctively got down on all fours to clean up the What Do You Meme? cards strewn about and rescue the broken lid for Life crushed to death underneath the stacks of Monopoly, Chess, and Giant Uno BTS edition. SAVAGES. Smh.
I am so GLAD I got to visit this place the day before it's official closing...Sad to see this gorgeous place go but I had a great time! I ordered the double matcha ! Very rich I liked the consistency, definitely would pair great with boba ! The other drink ordered was an Oreo strawberry matcha which was part of the secret menu! Very flavorful, creamy, and most importantly, YUMMYYYY! It has to be a top 10 drink. Things I noticed in the seating area was that there are outlets on the wall if you wanted to use the tables to study and there's amble seating to either have a coffee date or even play some board games that the shop provides. Also I am sure once the weather gets cooler, the outdoor area will be utilized much more! There's hammocks, comfortable seating and just lushness in the decor! Thank you Mama Chai for a wonderful experience!
This is such a cute spot! Whoever did their mural art and their patio design deserves accolades. It's so colorful happy and filled with individual fire pits to get cozy on a cool evening. It's also great to hang out there any day the weather is nice just to enjoy some fresh air and boba on the patio. I love their mochi donuts which flavors rotate. Staff is always so nice to explain each one and provide recommendations. I've also gone there to play board games and hang out with friends and family. A true jewel!
Mama Chai's makes splendid treats! You'll find them in Chinatown on Spring Mountain and Arville near Shanghai Plaza, next to Mr. Kim's Korean BBQ. There's plenty of parking. Inside is clean with good seating, soft background music, and a table of board games to play. Menu offers a nice selection of matcha, whole milk tea, cold brewed tea, blended and specialty drinks. They have donuts, candy fruit, and cookies too! I wanted to try Mango Matcha Blend but they sold out of mango, so I ordered Matcha Milk Tea ($6.50), instead of the usual milky liquid, ask to add more ice and blend the drink. I opted for no sugar and no syrup. Jesus did a great job making my drink, Matcha is served nice and cold, it's kind of like an iced matcha slush which is super refreshing, I love it! I paired it with Pistachio Yuzu Mochi Donut ($4), this one's absolutely delightful! Mochi donut is light, soft and chewy, has Yuzu icing that's amazingly pleasant and not too sweet, topped with crushed pistachios, so YUM! Service from Naz and Jesus is very kind, welcoming, accommodating, helpful, and friendly! If ordering via door dash, food and drink is delivered in a really cool to-go bag that has a beautiful cherry blossom design, and there's a boy and a girl, it's super cute! Just a note, if you want the to-go bag with the aluminum inside, it is available for purchase, pricing is $2, which is a great deal!
Mama Chai's is such a cute spot in Chinatown! The atmosphere is charming, making it a great place to stop by and relax. Here is what we tried: Nutella Latte with Crème Brûlée: Rich, smooth, and topped with that perfect brûlée finish--it has a fantastic balance of blend and sweetness. Taro with Crystal Boba: You can really tell they use real taro! It's delightfully authentic and creamy, and the crystal boba adds a great, chewy texture. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a fun boba spot in town!
This place is so cute and has such a fun vibe! The decor is adorable and there are multiple games you can play while hanging out. The place is a little hidden, but it's easy to find since it's right next to Mr. Kim's KBBQ. The staff is friendly and quick, which made the experience even better. I ordered the Thai tea with oat milk and boba. I forgot to ask if they could adjust the sweetness, so I was worried it might be too sweet, but it was actually perfect. The Thai tea is legit and tasted just like the ones I had in Thailand. It wasn't overly sweet, and the boba was really nice and chewy. Definitely coming back!

I was originally introduced to this awesome spot from a Yelp Elite Experience event last year and finally came back! And I am so glad that I did. The inside is nice and spacious (and so is the outside), service is friend, I love the expansive patio with cute decor, and the drink offerings and mochi donuts are delightful. Location is on the side of Shanghai Plaza, next do Master Kim's, so it's super convenient and in a great spot. Plus, theres a lot of space to really linger and hangout here, which is ideal. Their teas are very fresh. And their mochi donuts are always changing in seasonal flavors. This last time I tried the Madarin Orange Juice (very yummy). I definitely want to come back and try one of their pistachio lattes, it sounded yummy too. A great spot for a drink and hangout. I super appreciate all the cacti on the patio and the beautiful ambiance! thank you!
You caught my heart at milk tea and unique boba donuts, truly what's not to love? More than anything family and love make the best of days. This particular day we have the opportunity to meet and share our experiences on life gathering here at Mama Chai's! We had the pleasure to meet new friends. Our guests were excited it's here favorite spot. We are celebrating an engagement. While we were here the dining area is open and large. In fact it's a great space for a book club group. How about a little studying or even working. Come and boba and have a little snack. Now the environment is great. The drinks are over the top too. Our host took the order. She was so pleasant, offering explanations of the menu and different kinds of foods they had for sale. We all had a boba . They offer a huge selection of style drinks mostly real tea based. You are able to regulate the sugar levels too. The mochi donuts are over the top. Now let's try a bite and drink together of boba and mochi together. We talked and sipped for a bit, an hour instantly went by. Getting to know one another and sharing fun stories was amazing here. This little nook offers it all. Come and try. It's got a dedicated parking lot with free parking. What's not to love ?
We had a great time here. They have so many board games to play! And you don't even need to ask, they're just out on a rack. was HOT inside, though, which was uncomfortable. The drinks were yummy and not too sweet (we were happy), which was a surprise because we ordered the salted caramel Nutella latte. We stayed for about 1.5 hours and had no issues with the staff. Worth the try!
We had such a wonderful experience at Mama's Chai! The service was amazing from start to finish. Our barista was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. He even acknowledged that we were celebrating a birthday and surprised us with complimentary mochi donuts, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected touch! After we ordered our drinks, he personally delivered them to our table. The drinks were delicious, but the exceptional service made our visit even more memorable. Highly recommend Mama's Chai! We'll definitely be back! Lastly the outdoor area was very relaxing and feels like home
This place was really cute and it's deff worth going to check out for the signature item they have. I wish they had a little more on the menu. My cinnamon roll was cold. The staff is really nice and the decor is a vibe.
I've never been to Mama Chai's before, but I saw the sign from the road and I was craving some good tea. Chai tea sounded lovely, and it was. Rich masala complimented the creamy cool brew and mine was almost gone by the time I got home. Of course I grabbed one for Adam too. I think it tasted better as the ice cubes melted, so by the time he got his, it was perfect. I was truly surprised when I rounded the corner of the parking lot. I thought, wow - this is exactly the type of place Kayla would pick for Yelpers to visit. It was so cute! Flowers puffed around outdoor seating and a vine wall was the obvious choice for some sweet photo opps. I entered to Taylor Swift on blast and an extensive tea menu. It took a moment to realize you can get boba or other toppings with any type of tea. They went really hard on jasmine tea here. Or matcha. Boba with jasmine seems weird to me. I decided Chai was the way to go based on the name. As I decided, my server ... Barista? Tea-ista? Just stood and stared at me. He was a young kid. He ended up being very sweet. I told him I just came from Mr. Kim's and I accidentally ate there. He asked how it was and we had a mini conversation. After placing my order- without boba, by the way, he disappeared. So, I wandered about taking pictures and then sat down at a cute little table. It took a bit longer than I expected to make chai tea, but wow- they were worth the wait. The only reason I'm taking off a star was because it was warm in there, so the wait was uncomfortable. There were games and such for people to come play, but the only other people in here got their stuff to go as well. When it cools down, I bet this will be a really happening spot though.

Just found out this place but leaned that it's going to be permanently closed!! Luckily they have a new location nearby UNLV with the new name K mart by mama Chai's. We had three different drinks, and the black sesame drink totally won everyone's heart. We had to get another one before we headed out. Shout out to the lady staff (too bad she won't be at the new location) who is going to start her own tattoo business. She is so sweet, friendly and patient. read more

My first time at Mama Chai's was for a Yelp event and was excited to go back. The employees are super friendly and it's a great place to hang out. They have tables inside as well as a big enclosed patio outside. Our order took a little longer than expected but they had a large order before us and apologized for the wait. I had the Mango Passionfruit Oolong Cold Tea and it was delicious, very refreshing. I'll definitely be back. read more
Best tea I've had and this is coming from someone who absolutely loves visiting new cafes and boba. I tried the Dan Chong Ya Duck Sh*t tea (yes this is a real item on the menu). The tea was extremely flavorful, unique, and delicious. The vibe inside is super clean and relaxing, would not mind spending an afternoon here with a date or to study. Service was great, the cashier was friendly, knowledgeable and everything came out quickly. If you love teas and boba I would definitely recommend checking this spot out, loved the tea and vibe of this spot! read more

I swear, I have yet to have a mochi donut that is able to hold a candle to Mama Chai's. Theirs are just... SOOO GOOD and the flavors so interesting!!! On my most recent visit on 2/28, my friends and I ended up ordering 6, of which 2 came home with me. Dubai: yes, the Dubai chocolate trend hasn't yet gone away and I'm so glad about it. This donut was just dreamy... it was enrobed with a thick chocolate coating and crowned with a huge scoop of toasted kataifi and pistachio cream. Donut royalty, this was. Pistachio yuzu: whaaattt? I have not yet seen this flavor combo anywhere so was super exited to try it. It worked beautifully and I loved it so much. I also want to note that I didn't have a chance to chomp on these donuts until the next day and they still felt fresh and had none of the aftertaste I sometimes get from donuts of a lower caliber. Final note... please check out how cute and gorgeous their packaging is. The store employee who helped us out informed us that it was designed by the owner. Props for their artistic ability. You had me at CHAI. This popular hot spot boasts beautiful murals and neon signs in the ample indoor seating as well as in the lush outdoor patio seating with a fire pit and Instagram-worthy wall. This artisanal boba tea and pastry shop is where genuine hospitality and carefully curated beverages create a local gathering place that feels like home. Meeko crafted my Iced Masala Chai Milk Tea, which was creamy and not overly sweet. She was so helpful in answering all of my questions as I've never had a Mochi Donut before and it was just as it should be...fluffy, moist and chewy. The donuts are nice and chewy. I really like the flavor of both donut and the strawberry donut. The cashier is pretty nice and gave me some recommendations for food in the area which I really appreciated.. decoration they had was really really aesthetically pleasing and they had a nice outdoor section with plants My only complaint is the packaging of the box that the donut comes in.. both the donuts that I had had a crumb topping to it and upon opening and eating the donut crumbs got. It was pretty annoying to clean up everywhere read more

I desperately needed a pick-me-up, and decided to stop by Mama Chai's. I got the coconut cloud matcha and a cinnamon sugar mochi donut. Now, sometimes I order things with absolutely no idea what to expect. I'd never had mochi before; I just knew my sister loves it and the donuts looked good. All I can say is I wish I'd bought more. The donut wasn't too sweet and I loved the texture. It was soft and moist, but slightly chewy...almost gooey-like. The matcha was okay. Not bad, but I didn't finish it. I think I prefer more of a creamy matcha, but it was refreshing. The outdoor patio is surprisingly large, and very appealing. There's plenty of seating. Outdoor heaters would really set it off so that people could enjoy it even when it's chilly. The interior is cute too. It matches the outdoor patio's vibe. There were plenty of people studying & hanging out. Customer service was great. The cashier greeted me and was more than happy to answer all my questions. I usually like to look at menus ahead of time, but Mama Chai's website doesn't include drink descriptions, which could be really helpful for first-timers. Overall, this is a cute spot and I could see myself coming back for more mochi donuts. read more
I have been here once before to attend a Yelp Elite Event and I knew I'd have to return. Since I was on the Strip recently, i crossed the 15 on Spring Mountain and I was there in no time at all including the construction delays. It was around 1:30 in the afternoon, and the place was empty. I ordered a Masala chai drink and I chose a salted caramel mochi doughtnut coated with toasted coconut. I took it to go so the pleasant woman working there put it in a box which made it great for driving. All their drinks are made to order and the tea is brewed for every drink so there is a bit of a wait to get the fresh drinjk form the tea-rista. The Masala chai has a bit of coffee flavoring added which made it wuite tasty! Thius is really a pleasant place and one where I ned to remember to stop more often. read more
This little hole in the wall needs a LOT more recognition!! The outdoor patio is adorable and it's matched on the inside! Their teas were super good, I ordered the Imperial Ren Shen Ginseng and it was super tasty! Thank goodness the cashier asked how sweet I wanted it because I said half and it was perfect. Our group also ordered the pumpkin spice, and berries and cheese and loved them. The donuts though: I could eat an entire case of them we got the apple pie, strawberry and I believe pecan and they were all incredible. I've never had a mochi donut that had toppings like that and I will ABSOLUTELY get another one!! The only reason for the 4 star is how long it took for the tea. The milk tea tasted like water even with 75% sugar and added cheese cream. I think they added water to it in place of ice and forgot to add sugar. This is the worst milk tea I had in Vegas so far, and I have been to several bad places. Tasteless milk tea. Tasteless boba. Waste of money. The taro smoothie, on the other hand, is good. They have real taro and the sweetness is just right at 50% sugar. But it doesn't make up for the disaster they called milk tea. Won't come back again. read more

The best thing about this place is the outdoor and indoor seating options I love that there is so much open space and there are board game options to choose from while you wait it's a good area to hang out with friends and to study , the snacks are good they are pretty sweet so I would t get to many , service was slow on this day but the staff was still nice read more

The outside here is super cute, but wait for drinks can be long. We did come during a cup sleeve event so we were able to look around while our drinks were being made. The drinks were alright, but the donut we had gotten was very good. I really enjoyed the texture of the donut as well as the matcha icing. The staff were really nice and friendly and I love that they make all the drinks fresh. read more

Cute place tucked away in Chinatown. Came here because it was a nice day and we wanted somewhere to hang out for a little bit. I liked their outdoor seating area, and dog friendly too. Had jenga and board games. Menu was kind of small and had hard time deciding what to order. Mango matcha was wayyyy too sweet could barely finish. One of the fruity teas we got was decent but can't remember which flavor it was. We won't be back, there are many other boba places around here we prefer over this one as far as taste of drinks. read more
VIBING. After being recommended this place by bestie, I'm so glad we were able to go! Busy Chinatown area, but there was still adequate parking when we went around 9pm on a Saturday evening. Though I REALLY wanted to try the candy fruit, I wasn't able to this time around. Instead, we opted for the real pistachio latte w/ boba & the real taro latte. We were told that though the sweetness could be adjusted on the pistachio latte, it was not an option for the taro since they do NOT use the powder like many other places. Both drinks were SUPERB. I could taste the rawness of the pistachios in my latte. YUM. There was spacious seating outside as well as inside and so many photo opportunities! LOVE that they have family games inside as well -- great place for family nights! read more
Went to Mama Chai's a little after eating lunch, and what a great place for a sweet treat after your meal. The outside patio is a really nice and lovely place to relax. It's covered, so you are not under the sun and there are gas firepits (nice touch for this cooler weather). There are plenty of seats and tables both inside and outside. They even have board games available. After reviewing the menu and receiving some reccomendations from the friendly store attendant, Chris, I decided upon a small Lychee Dragonfruit tea with boba ($6.25). This drink comes with real fruit bits so you don't need toppings, but I wanted to try the boba. The boba wasn't sweet, so I may skip the addition next time. The drink itself was was refreshing and the perfect level of sweetness. It reminded me of a favorite drink I had from a cafe (Tocaja) in Claremont, CA called the "Purple Me". So happy to have found this similar drink at Mama Chai's. I also enjoyed a Roasted Pistachio and Yuzu mochi donut ($4), which was delightful! It was packaged in such a cute box too. I have my eye on the Korean Banana Milk for my next visit. Looking forward to returning! read more

If you are following, this trip is to spoil my daughter visiting all the donut places. See all other reviews. Quality/Quantity - Limited selection when we got here; not sure if that is normal? Or if there were more hidden in the back...? See pictures of the donut case. Today we got the following: Hazelnut Almond Toffee Mochi Donut - I chose this one, OMG! This was a home run. It was like eating a candy bar and a mochi donut at the same time. And can you believe it was not too sweet! Strawberry Cheesecake Mochi Donut - One of my daughter's favorite flavors. She of course liked it. But I did not, only because it is not my preference of flavor. It was still good and well done. Assam Mulberry Blue Fresh Fruit Tea - My daughter's drink. She said it was good. Atmosphere - What a cool space. See pictures. Indoor/outdoor. Free wifi. One clean unisex bathroom. Plenty of parking. Open 7 days a week from noon till 11pm or midnight. Service - Eddy was good, very patient with us, as we were first time customers. Shared the best sellers and the different types of fresh fruit teas, etc. Price - $17 + tip. Yelp Review 2025 #16: Tucked in the back of a strip mall and behind Mr. BBQ is Mama Chai's. Their patio seems inviting and chill. The interior is smaller with a few tables and chairs. The patio is what you'll see more on Instagram. I've visited Mama Chai's and walked out empty-handed multiple times over a year ago when they still had cream puffs. They were always out of cream puffs no matter what time I went. The last time I went they told me they're working on changing the recipe so there was no date as to when they'll have them again. So, I just gave up. A year later, I came back to find out they completely chucked their cream puff idea. Forever gone and I didn't even get to try it! They have fruit teas, milk teas, lattes, smoothies, doughnuts, mochi doughnuts, and some seasonal items like tanghulu which you'll never know when they'll have. Their doughnuts and milk teas are pretty good but that's not enough. They don't even bother labeling their doughnuts. I wish their menu would be more consistent. read more

What time is tanghulu available?
5pm, went on a Sunday. They were through with the first 10 people in line. They allow one per person.
Is this a good place to work or study? If so, are there outlets available?
Yes they have indoor and outdoor patio. Outlets are inside. I haven’t checked outside for plugs.
Are the mochi donuts gluten free or do they contain wheat flour?
Do they consistently restock their donuts throughout the day or is it on first come first serve till sold out?
I have visited twice and it seems like stock is more limited at opening but they also still had donut at about 8pm too so I do believe they restock in limited quantities.
