I visited Froggy's Fitness on a Sunday with my family of four. I've been to the Keys many times…read moreover the years and even worked out at this gym in the past. Unfortunately, this was by far my worst experience. When I asked about daily fees, I was told it was $25 per person per day. I was shocked at the price and politely asked if there were any discounts for locals. The front desk person rudely asked if it was my first time in the Keys. I told him no, I've been coming here for years and had never paid such exorbitant rates. He dismissively said, "That's the price." I then showed him the gym's own website, which listed $10 per day and even offered a 20% discount for teachers, police, firefighters, and students. I explained that I am a firefighter, my wife is a teacher, and my two kids are students. He refused to honor either the online price or the discounts and rudely told me, "If you don't like it, you can go somewhere else." This level of unprofessionalism and false advertising is unacceptable. Not only was the staff rude, but they also refused to honor their own published prices and discounts. I will never return here and cannot recommend this facility to anyone. I sincerely hope the ownership re-trains their staff on customer service and integrity, because right now, this gym is doing a disservice to both locals and visitors.

Day pass is $16, just call the number listed and the owner should help you out. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to have a workout here. Also 24 hours which is a huge plus!! Unfortunately, the day the original class was scheduled for was too windy to hold the class. Andrea contacted us early in the day to allow us to make other plans, and worked with the instructor to reschedule the class another day. That day came and we again got weathered out due to high winds. What are you going to do? You can't control the weather. She checked the forecast and made plans with us again for the following evening. Thoughout the entire process, Andrea and Liz (our instructor) were so kind and accommodating. Liz wanted to make sure we got to enjoy the class while we were in town and (happily) sacrificed her personal time to accommodate our schedules and the weather. When we finally made it out on the water, it was absolutly perfect and well worth the wait. We enjoyed a nice paddle and a peaceful practice watching the sunset. I can't speak highly enough of Liz, who even insisted my friend take her towel after she fell in the water (oops). The practic was so fun and was challenging in new ways - I'd highly recommend this class to anyone wanting to spice up their practice with a little something different. Even doing very simple poses takes on a new challenge and offers new visual perspectives from atop a swaying paddle board.

Art was the instructor, and could not have been more detailed and thorough, but also patient, and calming - and fun! Instructions began at poolside, then into the pool to become accustomed to the feel of the equipment. From there, we went out on a dive boat which took us to a phenomenal reef area where the underwater Christ of the Abyss statue was located, as well as tons of fish and other sea life. After that, we were lucky enough to have weather favorable for going to another site with a sunken shipwreck. How do you top that? Art was always there, always attentive, always mindful of safety, and always ready to handle anything that might come up. While some people might consider the experience a bit expensive, when you consider it is an all-day affair with a certified instructor, all equipment is provided, and a dive boat and trained crew get you out to the reefs - for an outstanding experience you'll never forget - this is the best value you will get from any experience in the Keys!

We purchased our tickets online for the Glass Bottom Boat Tour which allowed us to pick the day and…read moretime and avoid the check-in lines at the park once we arrived, we also have our Florida State Park annual pass which allows easy entry into Pennekamp Park. We found a seat under the blue tent next to the dock which is used to stage the guess, they start boarding 15 minutes before the departure time and it's really a simple task even though they still manually check-in each guest as you board the vessel verses simply scanning the QR Code on the ticket or app. The 65' Catamaran is clean and spacious and the crew is extremely friendly, the tour guides are very knowledgeable and bubbly so they make every effort to make it fun. You can bring your non-alcoholic beverages on board since they no longer operate the snack bar, they do have (2) heads at the rear of the boat (restrooms). Once the boat leaves the dock it's a slow ride through the mangrove lined canal to the open water, the no wake zone continues until you pass the last navigational buoys, then he kick it up to about 18 knots until he approaches the reef I think that ride was about 25 minutes, it a nice relaxing ride, the interior cabin is air conditioned but the real adventure is on the open air top deck where the breeze is refreshing and you get the real outdoorsy experience. Once the boat arrives at the reef the captain brings the vessel to an idle and the viewing wells turn crystal clear exposing another world, the water depth over the coral reef is between 10' - 25' and the tour guide explains the viewing well numbering system so you know where to look while she explains what the boat is crossing over - she is very knowledgeable and explains everything you see - all the colorful fish and sea-life which is abundant as well as the coral types and objects that rest on the bottom. The tour runs about 2.5 hours and they take no short cuts so you get the total experience. They allow just enough time to get you back to the dock on time and honestly as much as I enjoyed it I was ready for it to be over, the ride back was not as exciting as the ride out and I found myself looking at my watch often - I thought it was a good value and worth the time but once is probably enough for me - the boat was about half filled so it wasn't crowded with about a third being kids and there's no doubt they loved it...

In fact, the guide who described the plants & aquatic life while we were cruising over the reef was amazing! Knowledgeable & quick to identify what she saw & its location. They gave lots of info on avoiding seasickness & I didn't see anyone suffering. We took a camera but there wasn't a need. Cell phones are enough. I used my binoculars & only used them a bit to see birds in the mangroves. You can take plastic bottled drinks on board. You might not want to wear a hat. We stood on the front deck & it was perfect. It's with the $36 ticket for a 2.5 hr. excursion. Masks required inside.

The entrance fee to the park is $9.00 which includes visiting this beach. This beach is not traditional, large sandy shorelines that you may be used to. It is small but relaxing. It is not a glamorous place to meet people. It is a good place for beginners who want t o practice snorkeling. The water is only 5-7 feet deep. Wear Water Shoes! The beach areas can be rocky. The park has full hookup campsites and clean, well maintained facilities. An old cannon from the 1800s lies on the beach facing the water. There are more in the water along with remnants of a shipwreck. There are restrooms, rinse-off stations, showers, changing rooms, and nearby picnic areas.

The studio itself is located upstairs in a strip mall. There is a restroom but no water fountain/refill station. Drop-in classes are $20, which is pretty standard, however there is also a mat rental fee of $2 which I wish they waive for people visiting from out of town who didn't have space in their carry-on for a yoga mat.
