First-time close encounter with dolphins and it was a good experience that left me wanting more. We were only two people, perhaps they could have spent a little more time with other moves. The person assigned to us is a newbie and needed help several times which took time away from us experiencing contact with the dolphins. Time went very fast. Truly a once in a lifetime experience Along with meeting the dolphins, the trainers were knowledgeable and helped me learn about dolphin anatomy and behavior, learned that is more about behavior training than about zoology or marine biology, and as a psychotherapist specializing in CBT, I appreciate it. I had the signature swim and pictures which I would recommend since the viewing area is farther away - if you have a good camera with a nice lens then skip it. read more

Would be 5 stars, but Stephanie at the front desk was quite rude in the 3 interactions we had, getting worse each time. Backstory: I never wanted to do this. My husband surprised me, as I am normally an adrenaline junkie, but not when it comes to invading space of another mammal. I respect the animals and felt no need to interfere in their natural habitat. I didn't want to exploit the dolphins trained for the tourists. I had a full on panic attack yesterday when he booked it for me. I called and spoke with Stephanie. I knew she wasn't going to refund my money, but I did ask and was fine with her response as my husband already told me it was non-refundable (since it was the next morning). Once I looked over the website to find it is a non-profit Conservancy and they allowed me to come in an hour early to watch others and get comfortable, I saw how happy and healthy the dolphins appear. Definitely seem to be living their best lives! It was a fantastic, beautiful, emotional experience. Caroline and all the trainers were impeccable and truly love what they are doing. Too bad the experience was tainted with a really bad attitude after spending almost $500! ETA: Upon arriving, Stephanie was at the front and directed me where to go. No smile, definitely felt like I was inconveniencing her. I did say "sorry about yesterday". After my time with the dolphins, I stopped in to make sure they had my email to receive the photos taken. She was far from "happy to help". She verified my email and told me he set it up under his email. ??? So I asked which email the pics will go to, and in a negative, sarcastic tone, she said that he set it up under HIS email, so it goes to Him! A touristy stop that is probably a must if you have a little girl who loves dolphins, but her mean parents are opposed to sea world and such. This was a nice moral middle ground. It was too cold for us personally, so we opted for a meet and greet. That part of the experience was amazing and worth every penny. The dolphins are priceless, of course. These are the golden retrieves of the sea. Our guide was engaging and fun. Loved her. The process could be a little smoother. I didn't need and definitely didn't enjoy the 20 minutes of instructions for those swimming, or wait while they all found the suit and jacket that fit. We chose the greet instead of the swim for brevity. Pics are $35. I loved that you don't have to walk through their their gift shop. The person checking in or paying does but everyone can wait outside. We purposely sought it after. Get a family pack if you can. But again, all that goes away the minute you pet a dolphin. We went back in forth on whether to do this, due to the high price but so glad we decided to! We got to spend around 30 minutes in the water with the Dolphins doing the structured swim and it was just my boyfriend and me in the whole lagoon. The trainers were so good and patient with us and we didn't feel rushed at all. The photos were expensive though so we just bought a couple, we didn't need over 300! Everyone was super nice and willing to go slow if you were scared. I'd never been swimming with dolphins and my boyfriend took me for the first time here. We did the highest package and had a blast. It was extremely scary to be around such huge animals that you can't see in the water until it's right in front of you. But overall we had a great time and it was such a great experience! That being said, the trainers try to convince you, and seem like they truly care about the dolphins. I'm amazed at their beauty and intelligence and had a great interaction with them. So my wife and I did the structured swim. When booking it, I asked the phone attendant how long it would be and he said "plan on being here 1.5 hours from the time you get here till the time you are done." As such, I assumed we would be swimming with the dolphins for more than 5 minutes. I was wrong. This is what you get for the Structured Swim: 1. One hour marine bio lecture about dolphins from a 19 year old intern. 2. Five minute fitting for your life jacket. 3. Five minutes of swimming with the dolphins I guess its cool because i got to check the "swim with dolphins" off my bucket list, but thats about it. Also, this is not a knock on the trainer we had, she was awesome. This is simply a knock on the fact that we were deceived into thinking we would get to swim with the dolphins for more than 5 minutes. Also, the water was nassssssty... If you're going to plan on swimming with dolphins some time in your life, I would do it somewhere else. read more

Amazing, quality experience. Trainer Jessica worked one-on-one with my young adult developmentally delayed son, who is a strong swimmer. The experience was amazing. Jessica went the extra mile to make sure he had a great in water and dock-side experience. The pre-swim program on Dolphin rescue and marine biology was excellent. You are depriving yourself if you do not get up close and personal with what are truly our close relatives. The smiles on all participants' faces said it all. You will leave there with a new appreciation for Dolphins and with a feeling of peace. And I was only an observer! Do it. I am also stunned at the negative reviews especially ones that criticize the pre-swim lecture and say they only had minutes with the Dolphin. That is simply not credible. read more

Have swam with Dolphins before and had a wonderful experience... this place was not a wonderful experience. You spend more time sitting in a chair and listening to someone educate you on dolphins than actually in the water with them. Extremely disappointed and if you want to be in the water swimming with the dolphins CHOOSE SOMEWHERE ELSE! This was too expensive of an experience to have to sit for an hour and listen to someone talk and then receive 8 minutes in the water. This place was great. We stayed for father's day weekend. We got the smallest room which still was huge. Separate areas for a living room and the bedroom. It was surprisingly big for the smallest suite. The whole place apparently has been redone recently and is meticulously maintained. Our room was beautifully clean and appointed. They pay attention to detail. When we walked into the room I was like, "I didn't expect this!". The bed was super comfortable and the AC was nice and cold. Each "house"/room has it's own pool area which is also well maintained and clean. The grounds are beautiful and they offer free BBQs, firepits, paddle board, and kayaks. The larger rooms come with kitches that rival any high end kitchen at a nice house! It has it's own super clean private beach area with chairs if you just want to hang out there and enjoy the view of the bay. They also have their own private boat ramp where you can launch your boat if you bring one. There is no extra charge to bring your boat I was told. The parking is very secure behind gates and they have a guard at night. This was one of the best keys places I've ever stayed in. We also did the dolphin encounter (shallow water experience) with our 3 year old daughter. That was awesome as well. I liked out trainer. Everyone was friendly, the dolphins seemed happy. You get to spend a good deal of time with the dolphins and you interact with them as well, touching them, they will do tricks based on your simple commands, etc. Incredibly sweet animals and gentle with small children. The dolphin area is a natural lagoon so as you interact with the dolphins there will be snapper swimming around your feet! No, they don't bother you, but they do look tasty. Overall a great experience. The people there are very friendly and nice. There's no restaurant on the premises but they do have a little store where you can buy snakes and drinks. There's a also a great BBQ food truck right in front and the BBQ there was delicious. It's called Mike's BBQ 101. Check him out on Yelp. All 5 star reviews. We took my daughter to experience swimming with the dolphins and we chose the shallow water experience and it was a beautiful experience she got to touch, give commands, kiss Samantha the dolphin. Biggest negative was the disorganization of the entire staff and park...the handlers were loud and obnoxious, there was poor planning, the talk before the experience was way too long and lacked organization...when you spend $ 300-500 per group the place should be organized and they should spend more time in the water with the dolphins it felt like it was cut short read more

Highly overpriced for what you get. The encounter with the dolphins was very brief. The talk prior to the encounter offered no real value in terms of adding knowledge about dolphins, their habitat, etc and instead it was a disorganized random chat by an intern about oil spills and ocean plastic waste. During the encounter the trainers and staff were more concerned about where and how you should stand so they can get the best photo pose to sell you for $100. This made the children quite nervous more than they already are, with staff keep shouting "turn this way, look that way, kiss the dolphin on the cheek, no the other cheek...etc" They were visibly frustrated that a family from Germany with a little girl couldn't quite understand their instructions to pose for pictures. Staff purposely tried to prevent other members of observing parties (who btw paid an additional $10pp to just stand by the viewing platform) with the excuse of not wanting the phones/cameras to fall in the water. The obvious intention though is to get you to shell out $100 to buy their own photos after already paying nearly $170 per person for 5 minutes with the animals. In conclusion, while we enjoyed our 5 minutes with the dolphins, this is clearly not worth it and would not do it again and if so, not with this company. read more

I booked the dolphin swim online after receiving email confirmation from the company that I would be able to have my 2 daughter's swim and I would be able to watch. I was told it was the full price for them ($210 each) and I would be $10.95 to watch. After paying them, I was called several hours later and told that I would also need to pay in order for them to participate. So now we're at upwards of $650. I forwarded all of the email correspondence where their company approved the girl's swimming and they still did nothing about it. What a waste. read more
