This place is awesome I called cause I had an idea to have the dolphin bring my girlfriend a ring to propose and they manage to do it for me an unforgettable experience the staff is incredable I recomend this place read more

Awesome sauce!! We had the whole place to ourselves and the dolphins were friendly, playful and funny!!

I booked the dolphin swim online after receiving email confirmation from the company that I would be able to have my 2 daughter's swim and I would be able to watch. I was told it was the full price for them ($210 each) and I would be $10.95 to watch. After paying them, I was called several hours later and told that I would also need to pay in order for them to participate. So now we're at upwards of $650. I forwarded all of the email correspondence where their company approved the girl's swimming and they still did nothing about it. What a waste. read more

Five star experience. Great staff, very professional, fun for the whole family and memory of a lifetime. Well worth the $$$. We were in and out in 1:20 min. This brought a ton of joy to our family which will last a lifetime. read more

I can't say that I am too impressed with the experience we had at Dolphin Cove. I am mainly disappointed with the price to entertainment value ratio. The experience was quite expensive for our family of four and we were in the water with the dolphins for only about 20 minutes tops. I think the real kick in the crotch came when I saw the prices for the photos. The cost was about $15 for the first photo, and $10 for additional photos. I'm also skeptical as to what kind of 'research' this place is claiming it's doing. Researching ways to extract the most money out of your wallet, maybe? read more

Amazing place! The staff is friendly and clearly passionate about the dolphins. The lagoon setting is beautiful! Much better than any aquarium. I highly recommend this to all dolphin lovers or families with animal loving children. read more

Amazing! The trainers and the staff are extremely knowledgable and very friendly. I loved that we went on a boat ride to learn about dolphins and what we would be doing in the water rather than the videos I encounterd at other dolphin swims. Not only is it a gorgeous ride in the bay (look for dolphins and manatee out there as well), you get to ask questions prior to going into the water with the dolpins. You also realize how much the people that work there love the dolphins and how much they are not just "animals" or "employees" of Dolphin Cove, but the dolphins are their friends and family and a beloved creature. The place is smaller than the other places i have gone to in the past but I liked the more initmate setting. The other places I have swam at throw you in a large group of people in a pool and you feel as if you are just "a body". At Dolphin Cove, we were in a small group of people and one trainer in a natural lagoon. We were able to interact with the dolphins and see them in their natural habitat. There are even other fish in the water with you. It really is a natural location for the dolphins to be. I am not really a zoo person. I adore animals but I sometimes get depressed seeing animals caged. At Dolphin's Cove, I didn't have any guilt or depression or moments when I wanted to let the animals free. They all have a story of why they are here - not just trapped and brought in. At least that is what I was told! I can't say 100% Also, Dolphin Cove allowed us to take our own pictures of the experience as well. You can bring somebody in (for a small fee) and they can watch. It isn't like other places where you are prohibited to take pictures. They did have photographers on staff that have much better cameras than I have and know what they are doing, but I like that I can do it on my own if I choose. You feel like Dolphin Cove really is a "Research & Education" Center and not just a place profiting on Dolphins. A nice bonus, you aren't bombarded with a bunch of photos at the end and people asking if you want them on a mug, T-Shirt, etc. Dolphin Cove just wanted me to have an amazing experience and I did. One that I will cherish forever. I could go on an on (and I kinda did) about this wonderful place but the best thing to do is to experience it for yourself. read more

We took our daughter and her cousin here on her 12th birthday for a dolphin dip experience. We brought our family with us and paid for each member to be able to watch (8 spectators) There were other families there to swim as well but we were the only ones with spectators, instead of putting our daughter in the closest spot to the seats, they set her up with the furthest trainer. So we positioned ourselves as best we could to take halfway decent pictures. Apparently one of the families that were swimming had left their bag in the corner of the area where we were, so when they came out, one of their staff members came over and right in front of us apologized to them for us having "taken over" their spot. She kept apologizing profusely to them and asking us to respect social distance. I should mention that we were the only Hispanics there, and not to pull out the "racist" card, but for the first time in over 20 years that I have been in this country, I felt greatly discriminated against. Safe to say, we will not be coming back. read more

This was something I have always wanted to do, and I was very excited. They told me it was about an hour and a half, so I figured the steep price was worth it. The problem is, you only actually get to swim with the dolphins for about 20 minutes. The rest of the time is spent listening to stories about the individual dolphins and waiting for other people to take their turns. If it was half the price, I would probably give it more stars. But the price does not equal the experience. I was pretty disappointed, especially considering how much I had been looking forward to it. They basically use the customers to train the dolphins, and get paid massive amounts of money for it. Then I was really insulted when they told me the price of the photos. It probably costs them almost nothing to take/produce the photos so asking $75 for the photo package, or $11 for one picture, is insane. read more

One of the best dolphin experiences and well worth the money! Not only do you get the swim with the dolphins, rather than just being waist-deep with them, but they use you to do tricks! It was really a great experience and such a well-run business that my husband and I would definitely recommend it to others! read more

I've done a previous dolphin encounter before in Mexico. It was the standard tourist dolphin swim- kiss the dolphin, touch the dolphin, have the dolphin pull by his/her fin, etc. It was great and i'm sure that Dolphin Cove Research does an amazing encounter as well. When I visited the Cove last year, I chose the Natural Swim. It is a completely different encounter then the "standard tourist" one. It was amazing! The staff was very friendly and the grounds are beautiful. We did the encounter in winter, so I lucked out and it was only myself doing the swim and my family watching. The Natural Swim is exactly what it sounds like- swimming with the dolphins with no prompts or tricks from the trainers. If you are looking for gauranteed contact or interaction, this may not be what you are looking for. This swim depends a lot on the dolphins 'mood, interest in you, your ability to swim (a HUGE factor) and the size of your class. You aren't allowed to reach out and touch the dolphins, but it is incredible to swim with them in a natural setting. I had a great time! One of the dolphins must have really wanted to me to stay in the water with them (I don't remember the dolphins name but he is their "wild child") because when I was exiting the water, he really took an interest in me and began nudging my arm and sides. It was fun and terrifying at the same time. The place is small but it does give it the more intimate feel. They do let you take your own pictures and family can watch the encounter for a small fee. I've been to the other dolphin encounter place nearby and would reccommend this place over the other one any day. read more

We were treated wonderfully and did have a fun time. Initially, there is a nice lil gift shop where the ppl were helpful and the prices were reasonable. We went out to the 'ride' the dolphins area and my 2 young grandsons were told no goggles are needed. First we sat and listened to an endless monologue about dolphins. Not geared towards the kids at all. The trainer took the kids to the staging area and they were instructed as to what was going to happen. They grabbed a dolphin fin one dolphin on each side and went straight across the small pond and then they were taken out of the water and rushed off the dock! There was no interaction but that was fine because without goggles or a nasal plug they had not seen a thing and they took in a bunch of water! Kids do not like that! Poor planning in my opinion. Then we went to an area where we are going to touch the dolphin and actually interact. As the girl fed the dolphin fish we noticed the jelly fish swimming around as well as other fish and at one point an iguana swam out and up a tree! We were learning about the dolphin as if we were in a class, while just a pen away Thetrainers' were having fun teaching the dolphins to jump and do things in the pond. It would have been fun to have been able to interact with the staff training, laughing and having fun with these beautiful creatures. We did learn some fun facts but for $500 more interaction for the kids, more hands on and play time designed for kids to watch if they can't interact. read more

Total scam paid to have kid swim with dolphins instead she is standing on a platform with 5 other people in tank with one dolphin. Meanwhile people paid same money four people swimming with six dolphins said something to management they said it is the same thing. Bullshit they oversold the schedule and screwed us out of $200. Don't waste your money. Scammer liars. read more

Warning you not to waste money and time. You only get to spend 5 minutes in close proximity to the dolphins Did not research any other dolphin experiences - so cannot tell you if they are all such a rip off. 1) $150 for "shallow swim experience". 2) told to arrive at 12.30 for 1pm experience. Waited in line with 70 people (1bathroom). 3) at 1.30 we had to sit down to listen to a 45min lecture about dolphins - keeping in mind that we had a 4 yr old who just wanted to get into the water with the dolphins. 4) go thru a whole wetsuit fitting - only to find out later that we would only be up to our knees in water. 5) then we were divided into groups and had to watch other people have their moment of fame with the dolphins for 45 minutes. Finally it was our turn. Our family got onto the step with 2 other groups of 3 people. Each group had to stand against the wall while the other group got to kiss the dolphin once. Then we each got to shake the dolphin fins once. Then we each got to stroke the top and bottom of the dolphin once. Total time with dolphins was maximum of 5 min combined for 3 of us. Total time spent at this tourist trap - 4 hours. Don't even get me started on the $12 per picture. We were in the same pool as the "deep water swimmers" they also had 5 min with the dolphins - but also had to wait 45 minutes for the groups ahead of them, plus the 45 minute lecture. Bottom line $150 per person. 5 minute swim. 4 hours of my vacation wasted. read more

First of all, I received someone else's pictures two days before we arrived. I called to tell them they needed to double check someone's email. - I double checked mine before leaving for this very reason. Then, our experience was by 10 minutes in the water (and yet we were the only people there for the morning structured swim -Thurs). I prepaid $90 for the pictures - which took 6 days for digital copies to be emailed (told it would be 24-48 hours), despite calling, using chat, and asking for someone to call me back, I still haven't heard from anyone that can calm me down. There was a family with children in the shallow experience (there were only 4 people total) that didn't prepay for pics and yet, they took their pics with them. I used chat online on Saturday. She said she located our pics and would "send them shortly" Monday I spoke to someone, who said the lady I need to talk to was at lunch (I am being nice and not telling all of your names), yet I didn't get a call back. I called 4 hours later and she was gone. I asked for the GM and was told she would call me in the morning, because it was after 5:30 there. Tuesday waited till nearly 11am, called and asked for GM, who was on the phone, called back 10 minutes later and she was gone, once again I hung up saying wouldn't matter if I left a message, no one returns them. A young gentleman was nice enough to call and listen, but "I am sorry for the confusion," is absolutely not making me any happier. I asked him what qualified him for guest relations and he had been a host at a restaurant. No offense to you young man, but you should have never been handed this call. Oh by the way, I received my download twice this morning at 11:09 (after I started calling again today.) Wish we had gone to ANY other dolphin swim adventure, maybe they would have appreciated our money. read more

It was so nice! The people were so kind and the dolphins were so well trained! They really knew what they were doing. I would recommend.

We took our grandkids 4, 6, and 9 to Dolphins Plus and had an amazing time interacting with the dolphins. Thanks Julie(Dolphin), Kim(Trainer) and Brian for the great photos. The place was beautiful, and the staff was friendly and informative. A well run organization from start to finish. I would highly recommend this once in a lifetime experience. read more
