You don't feel like any of the staff are working there, you can tell they love what they do and all engage with you to make sure you get the best experience. Brittany led our session but worked in unity with the rest of her team sharing the dolphins. We learned so much about each dolphin and what makes them special. Decided last minute to drive down the Key Largo with my daughter for the day. Saw they reopened and wanted to do something exciting. WOW talk about an accommodating staff. I called and left a message in the morning and they were able to squeeze us in last minute the afternoon for the last session at 3:30pm. Missy was a superstar!!!!! So accommodating! Amazing place, so full of love and care :) we booked a tour and three wonderful guides showed us the beautiful facilities and introduced us to the very friendly dolphins. Then we got to watch a little girl with special needs being brought joy as she had some time in the water with the dolphins and a supportive trainer. We also got to hold little critters in the touch tank... Urchins and sea stars and a kissable sea cucumber. read more

We were traveling to Keys after long time with my brother visiting from Europe. My son has autism and attended dolphin therapy at Island Dolphin Care 7 years ego. We were so excited. When we arrived we received very nice and warm welcoming like extended family. Beautiful people and beautiful dolphins. After my experience with dolphins 7 years ego I can not just simply call them animals. I have a huge respect for those gracious and smart creatures of the ocean. My son, now 6'3" still love his little toy dolphin Tashi from Dolphin Care. He touched a real Tashi, baby dolphin as a first human been 7 years ego. He is so proud of it! Now little Tashi is not a baby dolphin anymore, he is grownup and very energetic. We could never forget experience and help for my son from Island Dolphin Care when was needed the most. Did a tour of this facility. They do really amazing work with these dolphins. We got to see the trainers working with them. We returned and did a tour-add-on on the dock and got to interact with several of the dolphins. It was amazing! read more

SUCH AN AMAZING PLACE, GREAT STAFF, BEAUTIFUL FACILITY, TOTALLY WORTH IT AND FOR A GREAT CAUSE! .... we drove an hour from coral gables to go to this particular dolphin tour and I'm not mad at all - so worth it! Super easy instructions to follow regarding the facility rules. The tour started on time. I learned Great information about dolphins as the charity work the facility does with special needs children and vets. The actual interaction with the dolphins were the highlight - I wish I could of been there longer.....the dolphins are well trained, so cute, and lots of fun. Went to this facility with members of the British Limbless Servicemen's Association and the healing of these dolphins was outstanding. Staff is professional and caring. This is not your typical dolphin experience. It's better. Years ago I did an interactive dolphin adventure with my kids, and left feeling sad. Dolphins are such amazing animals and while it was thrilling to touch them and be pushed through the water by them, I can't imagine what it was like for them. At IDC, you don't necessarily interact with the dolphins, but you see them up close and learn about the amazing, inspiring work being done there. It gave me a much greater appreciation for the dolphins than any other experience would have. If you call ahead, you might be able to visit when the dolphins are interacting with a "client". Also got to hold numerous small creatures like a sea cucumber, a crazy looking starfish, and a sea urchin, which was a nice little extra. read more

Incredible place with an incredible story! We were able to stop by without a reservation and got the tour. This organization has an incredible story (I won't spoil it here) and has a really relaxed environment. My wife and I were extremely glad that we stopped in for the tour and got to enjoy watching a therapy session. I would highly recommend this place if you are in Key Largo. read more
