Our group arrived in time to catch the tail end of a triathlon and got to cheer for a few athletes. We were there to paddle and enjoy a few of their easy to intermediate water trails. The beautiful views, peaceful surroundings and just being out on the water was exactly what we came for. Entry was $8 per vehicle, plus a 50¢ per person surcharge. Our group member is a veteran so he was able to get us all in for free with his military park pass. The staff we came in contact with were super friendly and provided us a map and what to expect for the day. All in all, a great place to explore and relax when you want to experience the Keys without the sandbar flex.

There is canoe, kayak and paddleboard rentals in the park next to the public restroom. Double kayak for $55/4hours. It's fun to kayak in the mangrove jungle with clear water. We saw lot of fish while kayaking. There are two kayak routes, each about 1.5 to 2 hours, we were given the laminated map and kayak follow the route. remember to wear hat and bring water, as some of the routes are pretty hot.

The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on a lot of businesses and public places since a…read moreconsumer's mindset to buy anything outside of essentials or to visit a public place like a park or beach, has crippled down significantly. Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind. We checked for sunset places and found this one on Google maps. But this place is hard to find on Google maps as the map would stop you some meters ahead of the park and you would go round and round, trying to find this park's entrance. Even if you get to this park entrance, you would wonder if this is really one, as size-wise it has nothing to offer. Walk further more towards the water and you will understand that the little area of water is sandwiched between two private properties. We reached there on time before sunset and initially thought we could not really see the sun set behind the coconut trees. My wife got little adventurous and decided to tread little more into the water and Viola, we watched a beautiful sunset! The view and the colors were surreal and was a real treat to the eyes.

Stayed in the Conch Villa as part of a pretty large wedding event. The first impression when…read moredriving into the place was, "What could possibly be back here that is going to work for a wedding?" However, the answer to that was surprisingly great. The villas have separate rooms with common areas and the one I was in had three bedrooms. The bedroom situation was similar to a hotel room. A nice comfortable bed, a private bathroom, generous closet space, and - most importantly - a good stable temperature even with the thermostat being out in the hall. A ceiling fan helps with circulation, which is great too. The only real downside I can think of is that two of the bedrooms are on the second floor, and you need to take this into account with your luggage as there are no elevators. Well, that and the fact that the finish of the stairs blend into the floor at the bottom so if you are older this might make for a physical perception problem as well. Anyway... Parking is a little tight when the place is full, but the location worked out really well for the wedding ceremony. Out on the point you can see the sunset across the water in the evening. Manatees frequent the dock which are a sight to behold. Across the dock there was a nice flat area on hard sand that was perfect for the reception. Yes, there are water activities including dolphin interactions across the boarder from what are the villas, but I can't make any comment on that part since I didn't manage to even visit over there.
