When my 24-year-old rental property needed a full exterior repaint due to an HOA color scheme update, I took my time finding the right team. I spent a couple of weeks researching recommended painters through my brokerage network and Yelp. I narrowed it down to four contractors for in-person estimates, carefully evaluating ratings, review volume, project timelines, and line-by-line bid breakdowns to ensure a true apples-to-apples comparison. I even paid close attention to critical feedback across reviews to gauge potential risks. Stubbins Painting immediately set themselves apart. Beyond their stellar metrics, they asked thoughtful, detailed questions during our initial walkthrough and offered fantastic suggestions to make the house look its best. Once scheduled, the execution was flawless. They arrived right on time and took extreme care in prepping the site and protecting the surroundings. Gabriel and Rene were absolute professionals throughout the process--keeping me updated via text on timing, options, and progress. Their attention to detail was second to none. This was a complex job on a large house with a 3-car garage, four exterior doors, numerous windows and shutters, and more architectural pop-outs than I can count. Yet every line was crisp, and the finish was immaculate. During our final walkthrough, they told me, "We aren't leaving until you are 100% satisfied." I couldn't be happier with the results. Stubbins Painting is now my official go-to contractor for my own properties, and they will be my top recommendation for all of my real estate clients moving forward.

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, Owner threatened me!…read more Jayjay D. post is in line with my experience with Cameron, the owner of PB Painting. Jack was my estimator, he knew I was in a time crunch to turn the home over to new tenants who had kids starting school at the end of August. Jack's quote estimated the job would take 95.9 hours which calculates to approx. 12 days. On August 28 @ 4:00 p.m. Cameron texted me asking for a phone call. When I phoned him he said he needed to pick up a progress payment. I reminded him that the contract says I am obligated to make a progress payment when 1 coat of paint is on all walls. I explained that the downstairs had not been touched in 12 days! At that he HUNG UP ON ME! ****Yes, the OWNER OF THE COMPANY HUNG UP ON ME! He subsequently texted me and apologized for ending the call abruptly. The job took 18 days, most of the time there was only one guy, Jorge, painting a 2700 sq ft house. When I reached out to PB Painting, they sent 2 more guys for 2 days, then 1 guy for a couple of days. I lost $933.31 in rent due to the job not being done until 9/7. IT GETS BETTER.....I had no idea they would finish the night of 9/7. On 9/8 at 6 a.m. I got on a plane for a 7 hour flight during which Cameron threatened to file a Mechanic's Lien on the house and subsequently FORECLOSE if I didn't get him payment on 9/8! I explained I was out of town for 1 week and his text reponse was "No, that is not going to work, we need payment asap" Initially I deducted $933 from his final payment, then realized that this guy is completely out of control and I feared for my safety. I paid him the full amount due and WILL NEVER refer this company to anyone. However, I did require him to exchange a Lien Release for the payment, even though he said he never actually filed a lien. I did not trust him! ** PB Painting, Cameron Maltby should have his contractor's license revoked!

Zack and his team did an excellent job applying a UV reflective coating to our riveted metal patio and sunroom roof--definitely not an easy project. They properly power washed the surface before applying the paint, and the difference is incredible. I can genuinely feel about a 15-degree reduction in heat, just as promised. Our sunroom is now significantly cooler--even to the touch on the underside of the metal roof. We were so impressed that we had them extend the coating to our outdoor patio roof as well, which has also made a noticeable difference in temperature. I really appreciated that Zack was willing to accommodate my request to use a specialized UV reflective coating (commonly used on RVs), instead of pushing standard industrial paint like others had suggested. I'm so glad I stuck with this product--it truly works! I was so happy with their work that I ended up using them again for my business--this time for the undercarriage of the corrugated roof and walls in my sunroom spa.
