The project, which included updating our fireplace and refurbishing a wall damaged by our dogs, was completed in four days. Day 1 was dedicated to demolition, with finishing work and cleanup performed on Day 4. Handyman Cal was not selected based solely on price, as their estimate was in the middle of the range of competing bids. The primary factors in our decision were Ivan's willingness to visit our home, speak directly with my wife and me, and refine the cost estimate following his onsite assessment. The overall value was excellent when considering the quality relative to cost, adherence to the promised start and completion dates, protection of furniture and fixtures, and thorough cleanup. Ivan and Sergiy were highly professional and courteous throughout the project. They delivered high-quality workmanship and completed the job within the agreed timeline. During the final quality assurance review, a small amount of paint was observed on the wood trim near the sink. Ivan has kindly agreed to return and correct this minor issue. We are currently planning a bathroom refurbishment and have requested a cost estimate from Ivan and Sergiy for the work. In summary, we are very pleased with the quality of their work and have placed Handyman Cal on our short list of preferred vendors. read more

We're going to sound like many of the other reviewers, and that is because it's clear that Ivan handles every job in a highly professional manner. We needed to replace the fascia around our doors and at the bottom of a west-facing wall that had deteriorated badly. Ivan returned our call quickly, arrived exactly when he said he would, gave an extremely fair quote, gathered supplies and performed the work efficiently and with a high degree of professionalism. We appreciated too that at the end, he caulked all areas that needed protection against the further environmental damage. We couldn't have asked for more. He's our first choice for further needed repairs. Thank you, Ivan! read more

He is extremely knowledgeable, able to handle a wide range of projects from tv mounting to drywall fixes to electrical hookups and the list goes on. In addition, he will even suggest various ways to insure the project is designed and implemented in the best way possible. And he's amazingly quick yet accurate.
