I needed to have 2 storage racks installed in my garage and 3 pendant lights installed in my kitchen. I was given a very competitive bid and scheduled the job. I had to reschedule one week out because my other contractor wasn't finished and I didn't want both of them working in the kitchen at the same time. He arrived exactly at 9:30am and asked what exactly I needed done and I showed him. I was kinda surprised that it took 5 hours to install 2 storage racks in my garage but whatever. Then he came inside to install the pedant lights and said that he couldn't install them because he's not a licensed electrician. I asked why he didn't say that in the beginning when I showed him the work that needed to be performed and either rescheduled or sent someone else? He said that he would call his boss. I asked if they were sending someone else for the lights and he said that since I rescheduled the original appointment from last week that the electrician moved out of state and they no longer have an electrician to do the install. What a scam because that makes absolutely no sense. Why take the job in the first place, if that's the case. I ended up getting over charged for him only installing the storage racks in the garage. This was a harder project that probably took more time than expected but I was glad to have been there for a part of the project to look over and help as Sean was a one man team. The post install was also unique as we had folks who wanted to keep their existing mailboxes and the area to put the concrete was also different as it was a mix of gravel and dirt.
