I am so happy with Romo Plumbing, I won't use anyone else now. Let me tell you why: 1. Great work. The people who sold my house to me had re-done the plumbing, and it was all wrong. Pipes were undersized, there was no trap in the laundry room so we got the sewer smell backed up, and the gas line wasn't buried so rats could eat through it. The guys worked for 2 weeks, just about all day every day. They didn't work for an hour, and then run to another job. They stayed with mine until they were done. 2. Minimized Disruption. Plumbing comes with noise, but these guys did everything they could not to disrupt our lives. When they had to shut the water off, they did it for one day and told us a day ahead of time. I work from home and they basically stayed out of my way the whole time while getting their work done. 3. Professional. They told me when they would show up the next day, and showed up on time every day. They are dressed nicely, and spoke politely and professionally. Don't misunderstand: they are expensive. But you don't want to leave your house's plumbing to amateurs. These guys are professionals, and I can't speak highly enough about them. read more

Transition to a tankless water heater With concerns of an aging traditional standing water heater and wanting a more efficient natural gas heater, I called Romo Plumbing, my go-to for many years. Scheduled an appointment with Maria for a consultation; Alan and partner arrived on time and conducted an inspection leading up to a suggested brand and model of a tankless water heater, and we moved forward with install. The day of install was simple for me knowing it was going to be a full day without access to water ... it was obvious that Alan and partner had experience with a tankless install, as there is a lot involved with the transition. End of the day Alan briefed me with the inner workings of the tankless that provided immediate endless hot water ... now a week later I am once again impressed with Romo Plumbing. These guys were great! I had a leak under my sink, called and got a free estimate for the next day. The guys who arrived were super friendly and professional and wore masks. They thoroughly examined the issue and provided an estimate and offered to do it same day or I could book another day. They also explained why the leak was caused and I appreciate the insight. It was a big deal to be fixed for us so I had them do it the same day and that was that - quick and easy transaction! I was working with a contractor to update an upstairs bathroom. He would do the tile and he referred me to Romo Plumbing to have the new tub installed. I spoke with Maria and set up an appointment. Alan came out on time took a look at what needed to be done, gave me recommendations, and within a day I was able to get a quote which included the bathtub and fixtures. Maria was extremely helpful in scheduling my appointment and working with me when the contractors work was delayed. Found a leak in our crawl space this morning and after sitting on hold with the home warranty for 40 min decided to see if I could find a local plumber to help us out. I called Romo plumbing and they had a tech out within an hour and he replaced a section of pipe within an hour. It was also extremely reasonably priced. Found my local plumber. We needed to replace a section of 1.5" piping under our house. We contacted three plumbers for estimates. Two of them lied saying they would need two guys digging for two days to remove all of our in-ground pipes and total it would be a four day job north of $5k. Problem is our pipes aren't in-ground. Romo came in, told us the truth, and it took two courteous plumbers a few hours at the fraction of the price. There were great reviews, and since I didn't have a "go to" plumber, I decided to give them a try setting up an appointment for the next morning between 9-10am. Two very nice guys who were friendly, professional and wearing masks arrived at 9am on the dot. They worked diligently through a very blocked sink and cleaned up thoroughly when the job was finished. Called Romo plumbing today at 2:20pm after another plumbing company canceled the app to today. I had an emergency kitchen clog, that needed to be drained. They sent a plumber at 3pm and he fixed the issue. The cost was only $98 and the service guys were courteous. A-1 Service I recommend, and they cleaned up the area. read more

Another plumber did two other projects on my house, so I'd called them when a new leak sprung up. The other plumber quoted a high number. I called Romo Plumbing because I knew it couldn't be that expensive to fix. Plus, I needed the leak fixed ASAP due to construction happening in that bathroom. Romo Plumbing is a first-rate operation. I had moved into my home and one Saturday my washing machine had caused my downstairs bathroom to flood. I called another well-known local plumber in town. His guy came out and told me I needed a new sewer line and he might be able to come back on Monday or Tuesday. Not only that but he gave me a whole rash of smart-aleck questioning me about the purchase price of my house, etc. I called Romo Plumbing on the recommendation of a friend. They came right out. Cleaned out the the line. Showed me what had clogged it and charged me less for fixing it than the other guy charged me for showing up and gracing me with prescence. Two years later and no more plumbing problems. The Romo Plumbing people were courteous, extremely professional and charged a very fair rate. I first used Romo Plumbing in November of 2015 when my plumber was unavailable. They came out and fixed the clogged sink within a couple hours. They were extremely clean, professional and they did a wonderful job! I haven't had an issue since then. Yesterday, our washer caused major issues and being that our house is really old we figured it was a serious issue with old plumbing. They did all they could do but they had to call a different company to use cameras since the pipes were completely blocked by tree roots or ivy. I would've given 5 stars but the company they referred is questionable regarding costs. Romo seems very reliable and reasonable so I'm worried that they trust this company they referred us to too much. Do your homework before trusting ANYONE. I will say that in my experience, Romo employees are hardworking and honest. read more

I have found an honest, efficient and wonderful plumber! I had been given a quote and sold a "bill of goods" from a big name company. I reached out to the owner of Romo Plumbing for a second opinion and had someone on site the next morning to inspect my house. Well, I saved a grip load after he explained I did not need everything that I had been quoted. He fixed the issues I was having and did a remarkable job. It is not often in business that you find an honest company. They were more concerned about me and suggested only what needed to be done. They were fast, very friendly and so reliable. I have apartment units and I'm not new to fair plumbing repair costs. I recently purchased units in San Pedro. I was looking for an honest, reasonable plumber in the area. I usually pay around $400 for a water heater and between $250 and $350 for installation, depending on the size of the unit. Romo's estimate was $1400 to $1600 for a 30 Gal. unit - Highway Robbery. If they are charging over $1000 for installation, they very well better provide a heavenly experience... They are on my Do not call list. Get three estimate people! read more
