All of them include fitness classes they have: interval training, yoga, tennis, futsal and pickle ball. They have a locker room and shower facilities so you can use them, too. I liked the gym a lot because when I used the gym late morning and early afternoon and there were not many people using the gym. So I was able to use any equipment I wanted including a squat deck and a bench press. The gym is a little hard to find. It is on the third floor of Alohilani Resort. You need to get into the resort from Liliuokalani Ave. when you get into the lobby, in the middle, there is an elevator goes up to the third floor. You can follow fitness center signs, too. As the staffs of the center are so kind, you will definitely enjoy it! Hope you find a right gym while you are in Waikiki

If it's busy though it's hard to get through your workout waiting on equipment. The bathrooms and locker rooms are nice however. Ayumi was very friendly and sweet when checking me in and even gave me some sandals for the shower

Usually I see it occupied by someone looking at their phone. My main gripe and what made me come and leave a mediocre review is the showers. 2 of 4 have been down for at least a month and one of the "working" showers is missing a shower head. It seems like things don't get fixed very fast. One month is too long. An ab crunch machine was recently fixed after about a month of being inactive. A cable machine had splayed cables and they put electrical tape on it. It lasted a few days and now that's been down for a week so far. Many times I see paper towel dispensers and spray bottle holders broken or completely empty. Trash cans full. Walls dirty with hand prints. Dirty fans. Rusty walls. Moldy showers with shower rings missing and crusty shower curtains (even though they just replaced the two shower curtains). It all adds up to make me feel like they don't care about the appearance of the place anymore. The staff is fairly nice, but the one woman I saw cleaning machines frequently no longer works there. I think more attention to cleanliness and broken machines and towel dispensers would really make the place level up. Getting rid of unused machines like the big fan bike and angled ab benches, then replacing those with another leg curl machine and maybe a fly machine would be a nice addition too.

The gym is very clean, spacious and organized. All of the equipment is in excellent condition and clearly well-maintained. They use Eleiko bars and combo racks, which are competition grade and the gold standard for serious lifters. You can tell this space was built with intention. Parking was simple with designated spots for the gym and the location was easy to find even early in the morning. Overall, Ukiyo Hawai'i offers a premium training experience with everything you need for a great workout even if you are not a powerlifter. I would easily visit again next time.

I've continued attending group classes because working out has sort of become a habit, and regardless how I feel before class, I always leave the gym with a blank slate. Bad day? Go to the gym. Mentally exhausted? Go to the gym. Deciding whether to send that angry email? Go to the gym. The coaches are super chill and fun, as are the members. There's a program for every body and for every goal. My weight has not changed by much but my clothes are fitting a lot better than they did a year ago and I am stronger. Sometimes the coaches nudge me to take heavier weights but I like to "pace myself" haha! Parado Power is a clean (everyone wipes down their equipment) and bright and well-ventilated gym in a convenient location. Parking is plentiful (for the most part, depending on the time) and free with validation. Towels are provided and the water dispenser was upgraded not too long ago. First class is free; visit the website and sign up for a spot in group class!

Then came the swim lessons and culinary camp. Then during Covid he attended day camp so he could do his work while his father and I worked. Financial aid at the YMCA is amazing. I can't even remember how many times the program, including lunch, was all of a sudden free thanks to generous donors. Now 11 yrs later he just completed YMCA college camp. It truly flies by and I couldn't be happier with our ymca experience. Now that he's back from college camp he will finish his summer as a junior leader. I have always had gym etiquette due to propped up bringing and the uncles reminding us growing up. However, if you gonna be policing members like no tomorrow. That's not a gym, it's an institution. You can't control the flux of drug addicts coming in and taking peoples gym equipment. But people are breaking into the lockers. Making the environment unsafe? To me please make it make sense. This is why I'm happy I have, Iron Hawaiian fitness and UFC gym. Even though the parking is crazy. The environment is so awesome. I'm glad this is my last year at YMCA. It's definitely not like it used to be before. But I hope it gets better and they start treating their members better.
