My advice: avoid. I got an email with a discount offer, which said that they would be playing the Superbowl. Their TVs were on, but not playing the game. I stayed and ate anyway, but the portion was smaller than usual. Then they brought the check - charging an additional fee for paying with a card (I don't recall seeing a notice of this ahead of time) - so I paid cash ($21 for a bill of $20 and change). The server never brought my change or receipt. I waited over 10 minutes and finally went to them to give them a tip (which they didn't deserve) and ask for my change and receipt (maybe they thought I wasn't tipping them with my initial payment? - I'm used to receiving the change and receipt, and THEN leaving a tip - they seem to be new, so maybe they don't get it). I think this new ownership/management is horrible. They ruined my Superbowl experience. This used to be a nice little restaurant but now I can not recommend eating here. read more

The last couple of times I have been to Romeo's Pizza in Edmonds the product has been below par. The pizzas I got, as well as a grinder in the last visit, were not as good as they were in the past. One thing was that there was less tomato or pizza sauce on these products. You have to have enough sauce on these products to make them work. I have heard that the owner or chef of Brier Pizza is now in charge at Romeo's Pizza Kitchen in Edmonds. I'll relate an experience I had some years back with Brier Pizza. I ordered through Door Dash a pizza from them and a breakfast item. The pizza had very little sauce on it. I called the restaurant to complain. I was told by the person who took my call and heard my complaint about not much pizza sauce, that maybe there was 'a little on it'. That is, a little pizza sauce on the pizza. That was unfortunate, and if the recent products I have received from Romeo's Pizza Kitchen are an indication that the Brier Pizza 'approach' is 'in effect' at Romeo's Pizza in Edmonds, that's too bad. We decided to try Romeo's as we were hungry for spaghetti. We were not dissapointed. I had the spaghetti with brown butter and mazithra cheese. It was very good. Hubby had chicken Alfredo fettuccini. Thought I would try this place on the recommendation of a friend. She said the Philly steak sandwich was delicious but the fries were out of this world. She was not kidding. The Philly steak sandwich was definitely great. Lots of meat and cheese on a soft bun. I really enjoyed the red peppers on it as well as the fact that the bun did not fall apart. Well to be honest this was the most disappointing visit that we have had here. It looks like they had new cooks this time and my husband and I each ordered two different types of pizza like we normally do. Well, the next morning my husband wasn't feeling well and has had a bad stomach all morning. He said that his pizza was very dry and wasn't nearly as good as it has been in the past. I could see the cooks and one was a young girl and another fellow but they seemed to be arguing which isn't really a good look in front of customers. Our first time here. Heard the food was good but never had the chance to try it until tonight. I ordered the House Riesling while husband ordered the Chardonnay. He ordered the Fettuccine with Alfredo and Mushrooms which came with a salad. I ordered a cup of the chicken soup and the Margherita pizza. The soup was wonderful! Husband enjoyed his salad. He ate every bite. I'm not much of a meat eater so the wait person said she cold try to give me mostly broth which she did! My pizza didn't look anything like the Margherita Pizza I've had in Italy. More cheese than needed to be, but that's what they do in the US. Perhaps everywhere but in Italy. Husband's Fettuccine was delicious! It was more than enough for one person. Husband shared it with me, which I appreciated. The great fettuccine, wine, salad and great service warranted the four stars. I rarely give five stars anyway. Just don't order the Margherita pizza unless you like a large amount of cheese. We will definitely return. Especially since we didn't have room in our stomachs to try the tiramisu. Service is hands down 5 stars. The food, however, is not. I ordered fettuccini Alfredo and it came with option of soup or salad. I got the salad. The salad was lettuce, black olives, tomatoes. Lettuce appeared to have been drizzled with some oil? Very basic. No flavor. The fettuccini Alfredo was served in a huge plate. However, it looked more like soup than pasta. It was just not good. The owners are very nice and accommodating to our family's needs (which includes a dog for outdoor dining). Aside from the private patio, the indoor dining can accommodate parties of 2 to a private room that can seat an extended family. This place is good! The cheese bread with marinara sauce was mediocre. The Barcelona pizza was freaking amazing. The food is pretty decently sized and worth what you're paying. The decor and the atmosphere were great. It was dark, but yet inviting (& that includes the humorous, 'why is that there', random bright white photo of green onions on the wall.) We were looking for RomIo's in Lynnwood but ended up here instead. (I still don't know where that one is.) But we won't forget the wonderful pizza here. Apparently, there are lots of Romio's/Romeo's - easy to get confused. Monday night, we ordered a pepperoni, Italian sausage, and mushroom pizza and added a Caesar salad to go. Both were good, but the pizza was exceptional. Great balance of flavors with a perfect crust and just the right amount of cheese. Fresh and hot with the cheese melted and yummy. Nice staff and a good experience - we'll be back! TWO NIGHTS later: Another wonderful Genoa pizza and spaghetti with meat sauce. The spaghetti was on the Happy Hour menu so I was able to try it for $5.00. The pizza was even better tonight as we dined in and the spaghetti with meat sauce was great. My friend and I came to Romeo's Pizza Kitchen in Edmonds for dinner and drinks on 2/21/25. We ordered our two margaritas and dinner at the same time expecting the drinks to precede the meal, but the side dishes arrived first and we waited and waited for the drinks to arrive. I finally had to ask what the delay was, but was told they would arrive soon. When they did finally arrive, it was obvious they were not margaritas. They were in two martini glasses and had a pink hue. They tasted nothing like a margarita! We tried to engage the woman who made them and even after we told her these were not margaritas, there was not an intelligible response. We later surmised that maybe she didn't speak English and did not understand what we were saying? But our waitress knew what our complaint was about. There was no effort to remake the drinks and to add insult to injury, we were actually charged for these drinks as well! I chose not to "make a scene" and paid the bill in bill. But I did write them an email and told them that I would be writing a review of our experience on Yelp, hoping that perhaps I would hear back to rectify the situation with a partial refund. Sadly, I've heard nothing. My own view is that this restaurant is under new management and that the new owners are not fully conversant with English. Our meal was good, so it's only this bizarre experience with the drinks that stands out. My advice to them is don't have a bar if you aren't able to make the drinks. We have eaten here for years. Sometimes it is really good and sometimes it is just good. We started ordering for delivery during the pandemic to help them stay in business and we liked the food. But slowly the quality has gone downhill. We ordered chicken parmigiana and it was off and the manager graciously sent out another order. But it left a metal taste in our mouths. They were not busy but the server spent her time talking to the other server instead of focusing on service. I will say that the food has been consistently good for us, but the service has been consistently mediocre at best over the last four or five visits. At this point, I'm not sure if we will return. The margin for error in the restaurant industry is extremely low, and if they continue this kind of service, they will not remain in business. We left feeling so sad after our most recent visit, which will probably be our last. My family has been coming to Romeo's since it opened around 30 years ago. It used to be such a warm, cozy family restaurant but the love has definitely left this place. They were out of many of their house wines and other beverages. The side salad was wilted and the chicken Parmesan which used to be an amazing dish was very bland and not very hot. I can tell they still use the same ingredient after all these years so the potential is there, but the food is not made with love. Upon leaving a woman who works there, maybe the owner stared at us and when we said thank you neither her nor the hostess said anything to us. A few months ago I placed a food order and waited an hour for the delivery guy to show up, and he never did...He got in a car accident and wasn't able to make my delivery, so the management of the restaurant hired a door dash driver to deliver my meal. Well, that person never delivered my food either, after waiting for almost an hour, the restaurant owner apologized to me and said that my next meal would be on the house and I agreed to that. So tonight I tried to place the same order, and now the restaurant is not willing to cover their promise, even after talking to the business owner. If I could give less than one star, I would. I'm not so happy with the bad treatment I received tonight, and I've ordered food from these folks many times in the past. I came in around 3:30 on Saturday afternoon. The place was deserted except for about five people who were sitting outside. I noticed that a few of the tables inside needed to be cleaned, which was kind of unnerving. Anyway, the service was good and the guy was nice but I noticed that when his coworker asked him to clean off some of the tables, he seemed really reluctant to do so. My food was great, but my real issue is with the bill. I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo. I asked to add meatballs. I only had ice water to drink. My total was over $24 and I was charged $6 for two meatballs. That is INSANE! Out of curiosity I checked prices on other Italian restaurants in the area and none of them charge more than $4.75 for meatballs. The Fettuccine Alfredo is $14.45 according to Rome's website so I know I was majorly overcharged. It's too bad that my past two experiences were good and I planned on coming here a lot more often. That's not going to happen now. My meal wasn't worth $25. read more

This time we got takeout for Valentine's Day so we tried the Greek bread, Pavia pasta with soup of the day, and a Romeo's pizza. Everything was fresh and delicious! The Greek bread comes with an amazing feta sauce that I've been dreaming about ever since, and the pasta was so good but didn't really have a sauce, just the juices from the meat and veggies in the dish and it was amazing! First, I'm a thin-crust fan so was disappointed that this was thick crust, basically near Chicago deep-dish style. I'm also a fan of lots of red sauce, barely there. Finally, this pizza was literally smothered in cheese, not my jam. Could hardly taste, let alone see, my toppings. It was tasty enough, just not was I was expecting based on photos. Also, they are beer and wine only! That said, some solid pros: pizza was quick to the table, a 1/2 carafe of house wine was only $10 and the service was spot on. Feta cheese (generous amounts), garlic, lemon and oregano with a feta dipping sauce. I couldn't stop eating those fries. Great starter to my veggie grinder. The veggie grinder is toasted open face French bread. It has pesto and a red sauce, mushrooms, babytomatoes, green peppers and onion, black olives, artichokehearts, garlic, provolone and smoked mozzarella cheese. That was a mouthful but I ha e never had (literally) such an amazing sandwich. It came with a house side of vinaigrette which truly added amazing flavor to this already incredible sandwich. Very generous sized which was pleasing as now I have dinner leftovers. The service was excellent. Our server had humor which added to the already exceptional customer service. Great little place in Edmonds with a nice variety of options - pizza, salads, pastas, sandwiches, etc. The Cobb salad is especially yummy and a nice size with garlic bread served alongside. One of the best deals, in my opinion, is a sandwich at lunch time where it comes with fries and soup or salad. The fries are amazing.
