I asked if they had any bags and she said they're a bag less store (totally fine btw I love that) but I had walked over there so I wish there were signs around promoting that or had the option to buy one since I'd be walking around with all the staff I bought in my arms. The absolutely ridiculous turf, they stupidly put down in a children's play area.... I cant even! There are these black pellets all over the place "for your comfort and safety" Let me tell you my child's bloody murder screams from the pellet in his eye, that refused to come out, and the over 15 minutes he spent crying in pain on the bathroom floor, to his now probably scratched cornea... safety and comfort are not exactly the words that crossed my mind. There were a lot of swear words that did, however. This definitely ruined my son's fun. I really do not understand the point of this material being added. It is definitely not safe. I will not be back (for the inflatables) for this reason specifically. I would also recommend parents go to other inflatable entertainment facilities we have in the area. Everything here is pretty costly. As a parent I cant afford to bring my kids here often. But they do have fun when they go. The Book Store is a must visit for book lovers in the area and there are lots of cool eateries and pubs nearby too.

Carol, who is in charge of young adult outreach, had a table set up at the activities fair my first week at Lawrence University, and arranged for all the Catholic students to walk to St. Joe's together. I filled out some paperwork, too, so I got an email list with weekly prayer emails, info about events for young people at St. Joe's or St. Mary's, how to get a local prayer partner, etc. This was exactly what I was looking for in a church while in college! I am a fan of all of the priests who I've ever seen preside over mass here. I feel completely valued as a parishioner, like I walk into the warm embrace of a family when I arrive at church. I love when the priest asks if there are any out-of-town visitors at the beginning of mass and then he will make a good-natured comment (like, "Ohhh, Bear country") and will specifically welcome that person to the church. It's really sweet! Then, I love when the priest tells a joke at the end of mass. Who knew church could be so fun? Additionally, the Homilies are almost always on point and speak to me as very relevant to my life. After going to church here for the first time, I tried St. Mary's that is a very short block away on the same street. I had heard that St. Mary's is a little more "traditional" and that it has hymnals and kneelers, two things that were staples at my church back at home. St. Joe's distinctly lacks hymnals and kneelers, so I tried St. Mary's. Even though I have been back there several times, it doesn't have the same welcoming, friendly, non-judgmental atmosphere that I have come to love so much at St. Joe's. Even though I have now moved out of Appleton, I know I will always be welcome back at St. Joe's whenever I happen to be back in the area on a Sunday.

Linda goes above and beyond at getting a variety of different models. Some sessions are clothed and some are nude. She even goes as far as setting up backgrounds that fit with the themes of the costumes and poses. We usually start with some short poses and build up to longer poses. The lighting on the figures is great too. From drawing to painting, you can use any medium that you desire. It's not required to show up every week, incase something in life comes up, and you pay per session you attend. You get a stamp card and Linda throws a free session after you attended so many. Linda is open to comments and feedback with the sessions and makes changes based on the artists' needs in the studio. It's also a very casual environment to meet the other artists in this area too. ‍ I'm learning a lot and my art is really growing each week I attend. Drawing from life is very crucial for artistic growth and this is one of the few places in the valley that offers life drawing models at a very reasonable price.

While he didn't have any bullying issues, the life skills and fundamentals that are also taught with the class have been great! They also incorporate fun activities that keep the young ones engaged.
