First off great ambiance for a nice authentic Roman pizza place here in Sarasota. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable people in regards to hospitality and Roman pizza. We tried 2 different pizza slices (carbonara & cheese) and they were fantastic. Had 2 glasses of Cabernet & they paired great. We bought to other varieties to take home with us and both were just as delicious. It is in your best interest to try this place for a nice afternoon lunch. Pizza 9.0 Ambiance 8 Service 9.5.

We make a point to come to RomanSQ EVERY time we're in Sarasota. The crust is light but slightly thick - think focaccia. The slices we got this time were Carbonara (my favorite), wild mushroom, and Italian sausage. Top that off with a Limonata and a perfect lunch or dinner is born. The owners are delightful and we've veen here so often, they remember us. Highly recommend.

Lately, we've had a couple of recommendations to try out RomanSQ pizza, so we headed to the Gulfgate area of Sarasota to check it out. RomanSQ offers a Sicilian-style pizza with a thicker rectangular crust and a variety of fresh Mediterranean ingredients. Opting for single slices allowed us to sample different topping combinations. I tried two distinct pizzas - one with grilled artichokes, grilled red peppers, broccoli rabe, and mozzarella, and the other featuring tomato sauce, mozzarella, grilled artichoke, Kalamata olives, mushrooms, and tomatoes. With a menu offering more than 20 well-vetted combinations of pizza toppings, my take is that RomanSQ does extremely well at making homemade pizzas with delicious Mediterranean flavors. Whether you choose a single slice or go for a half or full tray, experiencing RomanSQ's pizza is worthwhile.

Clearly the best pie in SRQ. Styled like true Roman sheet . Spectacular crispy dough/crust and amazing fresh veggies. Ate there twice last week!

    O. M. G. THIS PIZZA IS SOOOOO GOOD!! Amazing, fresh!! Crunchy crust. Literally my perfect pizza. And the staff was so kind. My husband said, "can we go back again tomorrow?" That's how good it is. Highly recommend.

Still cannot complain pizza is delicious and always consistent. A friend was coming over and wanted to try their squares. Got the Margarita and Cacio Pepe Bianco I'm still a fan of the traditional Margarita. Look forward to some new flavors: jamon, honey, egg just some ideas

When visiting family in Sarasota, we stopped in RomanSQ for some pizza. We thoroughly enjoyed every slice! My family and I made sure to try most of the selections offered. The dough and crust were cooked to perfection. It was hard to select a favorite topping because we loved each one we tried. When visiting, I would recommend trying at least two different topping choices to get the full experience. This is the best pizza in the area. I look forward to eating at RomanSQ in the near future. Highly recommend!

Still the best pizza in the area and the only place we come because we're spoiled being from NY. Tom never disappoints. Great service with always a smile. Their cup and char pepperoni has lots of great flavor . Always a treat to eat here.

Another winner RomaSQ is an experience to dine in here. If you're partial to a 'by the slice' pizzeria, then this is a a fun place to stop in! It's my kind of place, casual yet upscale The slices are delicious, the Carbonara. I would describe it as closer to the focaccia bread dough but it is light and fluffy and crunchy. Not like a thin-crust or even Sicilian. I was told this is 'Roman Style'. The toppings are amazing looking. Fresh and appetizing. Another thing is these come out so fresh, they pull them out and I don't think a pizza has the chance to sit out and get cold. The vibe is very friendly and the owners will talk to anyone and make you feel welcome to the city and make recommendations for you. The restaurant is clean and has an exciting selection of bottles wine, beer and drinks, albeit not large, but exciting nonetheless. They provide you with a glass and carafe of water per person. The pizza is served on a cutting board style plate - fun and unique. The music is fun, is the right volum, but is lively and original; fitting for this cute establishment. Do yourself a favor and stop in, or take out in a cute little box.

Once you see it, a large mural of an Italian pizza maker holding up NY with the Italian flag splashed in the background, you know you've arrived. We were greeted even before we reached the door and offered a choice of dining inside or outdoors. They have a large outdoor area that is shielded from the parking lot, nice, but we opted to sit inside for some a/c. Our server was right over and got us started with drinks while we looked over the menu. She was so nice, attentive, helpful, and upbeat for the entire time we were there, a real pleasure. As for the food, we decided to split their Greek Salad and a Prosciutto Arugula 12" pizza. They offer both 12 and 18" pies. This was not the pizza I would have selected, I'm more a Meat Lovers Supreme carnivore, but it was my wife's choice tonight. I thought the salad was pretty standard, lots of Feta cheese and a generous amount of dressing in a container. My wife left me all the red onion slivers, maybe not her best decision, and took almost all of the olives. The salad was still fine, lots of green. Our pizza was also brightly green, what with all the arugula on top. Like more salad. But underneath was an excellent pizza crust, like they describe on their menu with a bit of NY char. While I missed all the greasy meat, the prosciutto was very flavorful, a top of the line ingredient. A hint of truffle oil added to the mix and pieces of a hard Parmesan cheese (Parmigiano Reggiano) added more. I have to admit, it was a pretty good pizza.

We ordered 2 glasses of pinot noir which were decent, fried artichoke hearts for the appetizer and two pizzas one cheese and one with garlic, cheese, and little chilies. The appetizer was really good but I think it could have been elevated a notch if the dip was more of a lemon base dipping sauce. The pizzas were both thin and very tasty, nice tomato base, I liked the little difference of crust (thin & crunchy) compared to your normal softer crust on an Italian wood fired pizza. I like when I'm able to have preferences on pizza crusts on any given day. I would like to go back and try something else next time to see what this little spot has to offer. Overall it was a good experience and we will try it again in the future. Food 8.0 Atmosphere 8.0 Service 9.0
