    Pepperoni pizza

What a great find! We were in the mood for pizza, being from NJ, we know it's a stretch finding decent pizza outside the NJ/Philly/NYC area. Well you've got it here in Roman's. We got the thin half cheese half pepperoni and we were pleasantly surprised. Not so thin it was like a wafer but not thick like Sicilian style pizza. Nice crispy crust, really tasty sauce and the pepperoni was nice and thin. The owner was great too and we wish him all the best. Wish we took more pictures but it was so good we forget until there was only a few slices left! Keep in mind this is not a fancy place, it's a bar that serves great pizza at a reasonable price.

I was in Canal Winchester and decided to order a pizza for a wonderful coworker who had helped me so much. I asked Siri for "pizza near me" and Romans came up. Being a long time Yelp Elite, I checked the reviews. They were so mean! How could a local pizza place that had been around for so many years have such mean reviews? For convenience I called to order a pizza for pick up. The call was friendly, the person walked me through their pizza choices and even told me the most popular choices! I then showed up to pick it up and was warmly greeted with a smile and a beautifully delicious pizza! I had to ask.... "Why are your reviews so bad???" They were so kind, said they would never let a customer leave dissatisfied and was never approached about these so called "problems" I promised to post a raving review!! They are wonderful.... their pizza was amazing and I think everyone should give them a try!

Mac n cheese bites were good, but nothing special...

I agree with the average rating others have given this place. I am a big pizza guy and this place was just ok, nothing special. I ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and wasn't a huge fan of the sauce they use. The Mac n cheese bites were decent, but nothing spectacular.

Not to be confused with the far-inferior Noble Roman's Pizza, Roman's in Canal is a great little spot. Roman's offers some tasty pizza. The thick crust is soft on the inside and the outside is just crispy enough -- another of those rare departures from Columbus-style pizza. The subs are nice too. Fresh baked bread and lots of fillings make them a lunchtime staple around Canal. The menu features lots of sides too. Some are predictable -- cheese sticks, garlic bread and the like. A few of the items are more unexpected. The fried macaroni and cheese is a must-try -- and probably worth the drive to the southeast side. The decor leaves a bit to be desired. There is only one narrow row of booths. You feel like you are sitting in the kitchen, though sometimes that built-in accountability is nice The help is friendly enough, if not always attentive. Perhaps the best pizza on this end of town.

Where is the cheese? The lady said they only serve cheese on one side even the menu said " garlic bread with cheese".

Great pizza. Crunchy crust and ample toppings. Like most of the other reviews, I've docked the place 2 stars because the service was RUDE!

The Pub on Broadway has been a staple since 2005, with good reason. The bar is a work of art, with warm hardwood features and a great selection of options. The menu is diverse, including Brussels sprouts topped with hot honey ($5), a bourbon-bacon burger made with sauteed mushrooms & onions, lettuce, sliced tomatoes, house-made bourbon sauce, and provolone, $19), a Pub-made mac & cheese entrée (house-made five cheese blend sauce, cavatappi pasta, topped with shredded cheddar-jack, served with toasted focaccia bread, $17), a full pizza menu, and a kids' menu with hot dogs, grilled cheese, buttered noodles, and chicken tenders ($7-8). I was moderately hungry, so I ordered a cup of chili ($7) and a side of battered fries ($5), along with a cider and bourbon boilermaker. Service was excellent, there was no waiting for a table around noon, and both selections came out piping hot. The chili was true comfort food, and the sandwich was sized so that I could have the second half the following day. The seating is spacious, sound level permits a conversation at normal levels, and the restroom was well-maintained and clean. It's good to know that the community supports this long-time favorite.

It is dark, has a pool table, patio, jukebox, the 'regulars' lined up along the massive bar, tvs everywhere and munchies (for when you know you will be feeling the after effects the next day). I met a friend here to catch up and dish about my latest heartbreak. The bartenders make some strong drinks, so it was easy to forget about the reason I met her there. The people watching consisted of a bunch of guys playing pool and a bunch of guys staring at us- the only 2 females in the place other than the bartenders. The guys were friendly and tried to make conversation. The interior of the place was really nice, booths lined the exterior walls and the bar was, as I said, huge. I probably would not feel comfortable going back alone, as I sort of felt like a slab of meat on the butcher's block. As I went there just to have a couple drinks and talk to my friend, it served it's purpose.

That made me laugh. The prices on food seemed very reasonable. 24 wings for $22. $8 bucks for a burger. We ordered wings.... I wish I had ordered a burger. The wings came out wet... which I like. I like more sauce on wings. However, these seemed super duper salty - I could only eat three. I have never hated wings... I hated these. My husband... oddly, he didn't mind them. In fact, he rather liked them. So maybe it's just a personal preference type of thing. I kept trying to eat them. The first one I ate all of. Went "ooooh thats so salty". Tried a few more and each time I could eat less and less of the wing. I stopped at four as by wing three and four, they were hardly eaten. Noooooo thank you. I think the salt is in the sauce. There is no escaping it. However, I would come back... but just to drink, well maybe a burger! Its truly a great bar with good staff
