I had vinyl planks and vinyl tiles installed in my apartment, and they look beautiful! The Romanoff crew went right to work upon arrival, and it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing. They worked steadily throughtout the day, (with a lunch break, of course). On the final day of installation, just 1 worker came and worked well into the evening, finishing off the flooring in the bedroom all by himself. I felt bad for him, working all alone, but he finally got the flooring finished, cleaned up all the scraps and debri from the floors, and left me with a beautiful, quality upgrade to my floors. Do not use Romanoff Renovations for your carpet install!!!! On October 2, 2024 Romanoff came to install over 1600 square feet of carpet. during the install, one of their workers stole a bottle of cologne.. when I reported incident to the supervisor they told there was nothing they could do without a police report. The installation wasn't finished and they gave me a hard time getting someone to finish the job. Please do your best to stay away from them because there are thieves within the company. read more

After a month of getting jerked around and repeatedly rescheduled for the reinstall we finally had a new tiler arrive on 7/29. I took him into the hall bathroom first, then the master bathroom, and we stood in the master bathroom and I showed him everything I was unhappy with and wanted corrected. Later that day he came downstairs to fill a bucket to start laying the tile and I remarked how quickly he was working and he goes, "it's just that one bathroom in the hallway, right?" He seemed very confused (as was I) that there was a second bathroom that needed work. Apparently he had forgotten seeing the master bathroom... The second day he arrived and I showed him the master bathroom again and he began work. Mid afternoon his wet saw broke and he had to leave. Upon looking at his work later we realized that he didn't remove all of the old tile, but only certain pieces. The old tile was a different pattern and was polished and the new tile is matte. He also didn't listen (of perhaps remember?) all the things I wanted corrected in the master bathroom and fixed none of them. It was too late to reach anyone at Romanoff at that point, but I spoke with Home Depot and told them we're through. We just want our money back and start fresh with a new company. No one has been willing to discuss a refund or compensation with us, quoting the company policy that we have to wait for the reinstall to be finished first. Well, we told the guy to stop working and sent him away this morning because there wasn't any point on him continuing when the floor are going to have to be redone a third time, so I'm considering the reinstall finished. He seemed genuinely confused when my husband told him that two different patterned tiles were used and tried to explain how the pattern was going to line up. We've lived in a construction zone for six weeks now with our one year old. I'm yelled out and just cry every time I talk to someone on the phone. My friend jokingly called this porcelain purgatory, but it really is. I just want these people out of our lives. read more

After all our old carpet had been removed we were notified that our new carpet could not be installed because it was damaged. The installation manager of Romanoff said there was nothing he could do and he had nothing but excuses and put blame on everyone but his company. We were basically stuck with going back to Home Depot and had to hope they could help. They were wonderful and were able to get carpet to be installed the next day instead of taking weeks. Stay clear of using Romanoff because if something goes wrong with the install you are on your own. read more

The price was a great value for the quality of work delivered. The installers were on time, worked rapidly as to finish the project in one day. The quality of the work was way beyond expectations. The installers work was meticulous and clean up upon completion could only be described as white glove. I am looking forward to working with Romanoff on future products. We had Romanoff install carpet purchased through Home Depot a couple of years ago and it went very well. We decided to install hardwood in a hallway upstairs and again purchased from Home Depot. Romano cancelled our installation appointment the day prior - after we already made arrangements to board the dog for the day, so bye, bye to those $. Romanoff set a new appointment for a few weeks later. Just a few moments ago they called and offered a spot tomorrow due to another cancellation. I asked for a few minutes to figure out if the dog could spend the day boarding. By they time I called Romanoff back, some 15 minutes later, the offer had expired - the appointment went to someone else. So, back to the dog boarder to make amends yet again. I know companies are having trouble keeping folks but this is pushing the envelope. My fingers are crossed that we will get to keep our already scheduled upcoming appointment and that the installation goes well. read more

The carpeting I chose looks pretty, but every few feet there are staples sticking up that my kids or I step on. The crew came back and stated they didn't understand the problem and proceeded to hammer in a few places for 10 minutes at a 4 bedroom install. They then said it was my problem and to hit them with an hammer if we found more. Sure, I can do that, but it's not fun to carry a hammer around as I'm walking on what should be finished carpet. The quarter round finishing was pulled out for install, broken, and it all and it had to be tossed. No option to replace was presented. They stated this was agreed upon and I should listen, no. Understandably, the doors need to be shaved down due to the height of the carpet install but the option to have this done was also not presented. So now I'm left with doors off hinges in several rooms propped along walls. In addition, upon arrival the crew stated I had to pay a few hundred dollars extra to move furniture (although our contract stated basic furniture moving was included- upon confirmation this does not include beds?). They carelessly dragged dressers across our wood floors, scratching them. Should have all been a red flag, but bc we were carpeting I let them proceed. I will find a different flooring company to finish the job to not have to deal with the headache of this company- Buyer beware. read more

Can't recommend them. Ordered carpet from Home Depot and they were the installers. Part of the contract was to move the furniture for an extra $100. They did show up as scheduled but with only one person and couldn't move the furniture out of the room. I had cleared the room of everything small, including all the drawers etc and all they had to do was move out 3 bigger pieces. So, the carpet installation proceeded, the lone guy called in for help and no one came. I called in for help and they were supposed to call back but no one returned my call. The carpet didn't get stretched correctly and had ripples. One wall has dents and scratches in the drywall that I will have to spackle and paint. I called in to complain and even the woman on the phone was surprised, and said they never send a one-man crew on a furniture move. After I complained, they did come back - suddenly called and wanted to come by with no prior appointment luckily I was available - and did stretch the carpet better. They were very nice about it by then and had 3 people here, but none of this should have been necessary. I really don't like giving a 1 star review but just can't see 2 stars. I still need to fix my wall. I will avoid Home Depot carpet in the future, if Romanoff is the installer. read more

We purchased LVP flooring for our kitchen from Home Depot and they sent Romanoff to install it. I received several calls from the company to confirm my install date and time and to make sure everything was good to go. The installer showed up exactly when they said he would, he worked very fast and efficiently and cleaned up every bit of debris when he was finished. We purchased flooring from Home Depot. Romanoff, their installers, wanted to change our appointment the day before because they didn't have anyone and we reluctantly agreed. I called the day of install as we still didn't know who was coming, I was sent a confirmation email with the workers name and photo on the day of install. On install day, 3 individuals showed up not the one I was sent in the confirmation email, none of them were wearing their badges and one was a teenager. They attempted to open my door and started looking though my windows before I could get to the door. I asked for their credentials and I was provided one for three people and the name didn't match the name on the confirmation email. I called Romanoff and they blamed me for sending them away and refused to do the install until Oct 3, nearly 2 weeks away on carpet with a 5 day guarantee. There are several places in the 3 rooms we had carpet installed where it's not staying put on the tack strips. In one bedroom they cut the carpet too short and just left it that way. So in front of one of my closets there's about a 1/2" gap from the wall. In my master bedroom they must not have done a "Sweep over" before laying the padding because there's a lump under the carpet that I frequently step on and it drives me crazy. In all the door ways it's very frayed and I'm constantly having to take scissors and trim strings that come up. Over-all the carpet looks nice and the installers were friendly, but it's not perfection and seems like they did a rushed job read more
