Romanos pizza and pepperoni calzone
Kelsey R.

New pizza place in Washington on Jefferson Ave. Tonight we ordered a large Romano's pizza which is their house pizza- it's like a supreme- and a pepperoni calzone. It was only about a 30 minute wait which was nice. Prices are a little high for the area, our total was $37. Everything was still hot when we got home. Pizza was pretty good! The crust was thinner than I was expecting from the picture on their website, but it wasn't thin enough to be flimsy. Nice amount of toppings, but not a lot of sauce. The calzone was pretty good also! The dough was done perfectly and the pepperoni inside was thick. There was sprinkle cheese on top too. There wasn't a ton of ricotta, so if I ordered it again I would probably ask for extra. The homemade tomato sauce that came with it was good too! Overall a nice addition to Washington! I hope they do well. That location never seems to have tenants stay too long ever since pizza roma in the 00s. I could see us adding this into our pizza rotation!

New place in town. Tried it once, and that will be it. My wife had placed an order over the phone. I heard her order 2 meatball sandwiches. She goes to pick it up, and there's only one. She says she ordered two, they counter guy yell to the back saying "she only ordered one, but now she wants two." They tell her it'll be a half an hour. Then he says "that's a big hoagie. You could just share it." What the hell?!?! She informs him that they're not even going to the same house! As for the food.... It was so so. I was not impressed. There are many other pizza places in town that are tried and true. This is not one of them. And their terrible customer service just sealed the deal. No more for me thanks.

Ordered pizza and wings and was pleasantly surprised! The pizza had a nice sweet sauce and the toppings were plentiful! The wings were pretty good! The mild sauce was kind of lacking. Romano's wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. Hope to see them do well!

Fast delivery and high quality ingredients for a low price! The wings had great flavor even without the sauce and the pizza was really flavorful. Must try place in WashPA; can't wait to order again!

While I still don't forgive them for getting rid of the buffalo chips with cheese, the Caribbean jerk wings were solid, and the spicy chicken strips and fries were pretty good. The bathroom smelled like a bathroom before you even entered the bathroom and that's not pleasant. And around the bar smelled like old stale beer. But on a final positive note, the lady who took my order was quite pleasant.

As soon as we got there the hostess was extremely short and rude with us we greeted her by asking how her day was going and she cut us off and said it's a 45 minute wait. We said we would wait for a table and she wrote our name down differently than everyone else. We waited for the whole 45 minutes in the entrance and were not seated but everyone including the people who came in after us were seated we finally went to the desk and the restaurant visibly had countless empty tables. We were finally seated and our waitress was the hostess we had already encountered she took our orders and never came back me and my friends had purchased the bottomless appetizer deal and only got one round of appetizers even though we planned to get more. We waited for our check for over 30 minutes and finally had to ask another waiter for our check. Our drinks were only filled one time and we ate our whole meal (wings) without napkins aswell. I know we are a young but we tip well and are always respectful at restaurants. I had never experienced service like this at a restaurant but it was super disappointing.

They've got a rotating draft list with a great mix of local beers and some from outside the area, plus whiskey and wine options. I went with a liter of the Kolsch, huge pour and absolutely delicious. For food, I had the smoked turkey, and it was outstanding, perfectly done. We also shared the poutine, which was a little different than what you might expect, but seriously good. Everyone at the table loved what they ordered. We grabbed dessert to go, and I had the pecan pie, wow. Just incredible. The waitstaff was friendly, on the ball, and did an outstanding job--service really stood out. This place is off-the-hook good. Can't wait to come back. Cheers

Flavorful, juicy, and with a little char from being thrown back on the grill. Great fries too. Bbq baked beans were pretty good. Plenty of seating, inside and out. Real glassware and utensils, and of course a very "casual ambience" Service was ok. They were nice, busy, and slow to return for support, or order taking. Overall the food was just ok for me. For bbq, there was no smoke detected. No ring, no smoke flavor. Ribs were fall off the bone and moist. Pulled pork and brisket weren't dried out, just lacked flavor and I wasn't a fan of the sauces. Turkey was good. Pulled chicken was juicy with a heavy paprika flavor. Would I come back? Sure. A beer and that sausage, maybe with a side of baked beans or some fries!! An unsauced rack of ribs would do the trick too.

I ordered the Big Italian with hot honey, but my order arrived without the hot honey. I called and spoke with the manager, Mike, who seemed completely uninterested in fixing the issue and only offered a store credit. He repeatedly claimed the receipt showed "no hot honey," implying this was my mistake. However, as the video shows, there was no option for me to select "no hot honey." I simply selected the crust and added the item to my cart. Instead of resolving the problem and giving me what I paid for, Mike argued with me, repeatedly blaming me and insisting that was what I ordered. His response was dismissive and frustrating, and the conversation escalated because he would not listen when I clearly stated multiple times: I want what I paid for. Mike refused to send a corrected order, claiming I live too far away (I'm 10 minutes away), and continued pushing a credit instead of making the order right. He even blamed Vocelli's ordering issue on a "third-party app," despite me ordering through Vocelli's website. When I asked for a refund, he said he'd "try." At the end of the day, I wanted the order I paid for, not excuses, blame, or an argument. Good customer service means fixing mistakes, not blaming customers and offering credits as a default solution. After this happening for the second time, and after the way this was handled, I will not order from here again and would warn others to go elsewhere. Mike should not be in a management position if this is how customer concerns are handled. --- to see video look on google reviews ---

We were told it was going to be ready in 15/20 mins and as soon as we pulled up it was being bagged We got their alligator fritters, beef empanadas, gator tacos and an oreo cream funnel cake. Y'all everything was so good. My fiancée absolutely loved his gator fritters and devoured them. The beef empanadas were filled with beef, corn and cheese. They were so good and loved the seasoning on the empanada. The gator tacos were the perfect size, the gator had a nice crunch and the slaw added another level to the taco. The funnel cake hit the spot. Cannot wait to check out their new location when it opens and both of us agreed that we will be back.

Street parking available. This is more of a takeout place but there are tables inside. Now for the food! My coworker and I had chicken tacos, the gator po boy, and the chicken and funnel cake. The chicken tacos were on special for taco tuesday so they were $2 each which was a great price. They were filled with chicken and toppings but the meat was a little dry, and I think a sauce, like a chipotle mayo or something, could really make these pop! These were our least favorite part of lunch, but they were still good, I really liked the salsa. I used to work at a southern restaurant that served gator sandwiches, so I was super happy to see alligator on the menu! The gator po boy was delicious! It came with a spicy mayo. The gator bites were seasoned well and the bun was super soft and fresh. I wasn't crazy about the chips that came with it though. The chicken and funnel cake was the standout- think chicken and waffles but better! The chicken was awesome and the funnel cake was super sweet! I wish it came with like a spicy syrup or something. Nonetheless, everything was delicious and I will definitely be back, this is an awesome addition to downtown Washington!!!
