I was INITIALLY SKEPTICAL after reading some of the reviews below but after meeting with him, his team of FRIENDLY guys and seeing the QUALITY of work and PRIDE with which he operates his business, I was IMPRESSED. David and his team were THOROUGH, MINDFUL and RESPECTFUL during the 3 days they were on our property installing the EXPOSED AGGREGATE slab/PATIO EXTENSION in our back yard. COMMUNICATION WAS GREAT, David made sure to walk us through every step of the process! He even offered to fix some small cracked portions of our driveway while he was here, SAVING US TIME AND MONEY! I'll let the photos of the project speak for themselves BUT as you'll see they were very careful not to ruin our grass and KEPT THEIR WORK AREA NEAT & CLEAN during the project. I have waited a long time to write this review. My husband and I hired David Grembocki (Roman Creations, LLC) in August 2018 to replace my old, termite-infested wooden 37'x8' covered front porch with a beautiful poured and stamped concrete porch. The job was to demolish the wooden porch, pour concrete walls, cap and sidewalks, re-route gutter drainage, stamp all flat concrete, install stone veneer on the walls and install new vinyl/steel porch posts. While onsite, Mr. Grembocki was responsive, courteous and professional albeit a bit boastful but I attributed that to pride in work. Oh, I was wrong. So wrong. There was an issue during the project that is an ongoing legal matter that cannot be discussed here but, aside from that, there is plenty more to tell. At first, everything was beautiful. We were so happy to be rid of all the wood (and termites)! Our original wood porch had five 5" wooden posts but Grembocki only reinstalled three 4" vinyl posts so that looked a bit awkward but we grew used to the look. In mid-to-late February 2019, we noticed that the ceilings in our living room and one of the front bedrooms began to separate from the walls leaving a gap of about 1/2". We didn't know what the cause was until we also noticed that the middle of the three porch posts looked like it was starting to bow. After we took measurements, we realized that the porch posts were too tall and the roof to the house was raised too high. This caused the roof to bind and separation of the drywall occurred. Also, while measuring, we realized that the porch cap was/is completely level which is not conducive to water drainage. Hence, all of the pooling water on the porch I get to clean up after blowing rains. So, not only do we get to fix the too-tall porch posts and/or add more posts, we also have drywall to fix. Next, around April 2019, I noticed that the grout in my beautiful stone veneer on the porch walls was cracking pretty badly. In mid-May, I looked at my porch and the veneer had fallen off in places and slid downward in others. Not only had Grembocki installed the veneer on "green" concrete but he also failed to secure the stone veneer with wire mesh and/or pins. As such, once the concrete cured, the veneer mortar just flaked off and the heavy stone fell to the ground. Overall, we are very disappointed with the quality of his work and we are yet unsure of how much the repairs are going to cost. Please, please save yourself time, money, anger and heartache by going with someone other than David Grembocki and Roman Creations, LLC. **Additional Comments: -My husband and I have never sued anyone other than Mr. Grembocki -I have not contacted Mr. Grembocki due to the ongoing legal situation and the involvement of legal counsel. -I was under the impression that my attorney had contacted Grembocki's attorney with our additional problems. My lawyer had not which is one of the reasons that he is no longer employed by me. -I have plenty of pictures to show that I am not lying. -I would just like for Mr. Grembocki to take responsibility for his actions read more

We just completed our second project with Roman Creations. 7 years ago they installed a stained/stamped concrete patio with half walls, flagstone accents, low voltage lighting and a large fire pit. They did a great job with the installation and have been back for maintenance each year which really helped keep it looking good. This year we had RC update the patio with a gas burning fire pit, integrated seating, LED lighting, and new stone work. Additionally, we had a outdoor kitchen unit added to the outside of our deck. Both projects turned out great! The owner is very good at advising on design and functionality. They have a small crew of workers that are consistent and very professional. They do a lot of little things to really make the the job go smoothly - they laid plywood down from the street to the back yard and all traffic (buggies, skid steers,walking) in on that plywood, and they they remove the plywood every evening and clean the entire job site each day. We were very pleased and would use RC again for any future outdoor jobs. read more

In August of 2016 I contracted David Grembocki and his team with Roman Creations LLC to add a microtopping and then acid stain my unfinished concrete basement floor in my 100+ year old house in the city. When meeting with David's team the first time to explain what I was hoping to achieve from this project they were great at telling me what was and was not possible in my request and then offering alternatives to achieve the final look I had my heart set on. Of all the estimates I received, Roman Creation's was on the lower end and also guaranteed the work to be completed in a shorter time frame than any other company. The floor refinishing and staining was a two day process. During both days that the Roman Creations team was at my house, they were courteous and acted like guests in the house and did a great job of looping us in on what steps were being completed and how much time was left in their activities. On day two when they were laying down the pattern and color they were very patient with my requests for tweaks to the color and again were comfortable telling me when my request may lead to a look darker than I had requested. The final look is incredible; my boyfriend and I call it our "swimming pool" because of the fantastic mix of light grays, greens and blues. The stained floor took our previously dark and unfinished basement to a newly reclaimed living space that is 1000% more livable and homey than before. After the work was done David was great about checking in immediately after the job was done and then again a few weeks later to make sure everything was as we were expecting and that we were happy. Roman Creations' level of customer service before, during, and after the project is what makes me recommend them so highly as I have complete confidence that they would be attentive to any issues future customers had with their project, not to mention that the final product is impeccable. read more

David put a concrete basketball area in our backyard. It looked good in the beginning. But, has since been chipping away in large hunks. He did look at the concrete and agreed that it looked horrible. He only looked at it because he was getting ready to do our neighbors project and we expressed our concern to the neighbors. He claimed he would have the concrete company look at it. To my knowledge, they never did. After two plus months of not hearing from him I was able to speak with him and he stated that he would patch it and that I would need to write a favorable review about his company. Six months later and absolutely zero response from David. We now have to pay to have the slab ripped out and redone. And the extension to our porch that he poured also has to be ripped out and redone since it has pulled away from the original concrete. Total waste of money! David never answers his phone. None of the messages left have sparked a response from him. His level of professionalism is poor. And his quality of work is below poor. I would not recommend him or his company to anyone. . If you want the job done correctly and in a timely manner than you should look somewhere else. And whatever you do, do not give him any money up front. He required that of our neighbors and after being paid a % up front they did not hear from him for six months. read more

I contracted with David Grembocki of Roman Creations to reseal some textured concrete. I have both indoor and outdoor surfaces. Mr. Grembocki appeared knowledgeable, willing to follow through and enthusiastic about the job. I specifically recall him saying that he would come by in the spring to see how it had weathered the winter. I let him know there was no rush, and perhaps a month later he came out and did the work. It was a large area, and he charged me about $900. to seal and to caulk joints. The job on the inside was terrific. The outside - not so much. It took over 24 hours to dry, and when it did, it pooled, leaving most areas uncovered. I wrote to him a week or two later to let him know, but received no answer. I have had sporadic contact since then, but he has not yet come back out to even look at it. I am very disappointed and would not recommend him for any work. read more

my wife and I contracted David and his team to put in a large outdoor living area that consisted of a fireplace, fire pit, large stamped patio and walkway, bar and cooking island, pergola and hot tub. The project turned out to be a wonderful experience and David and his team were in communication the entire time to make sure we were involved. At inception Davids wife (Gina) drove my wife to several projects that they have done in the past and went the extra mile to make her feel comfortable with their quality and also allowed to speak with 10+ customers as references. We went into the project confident that they would do a great job. Our expectations were not only met at the conclusion of the project, but far exceeded. Very talented group of craftsmen. read more

Strongly recommend David and Roman Creations. I have been working with him for about 10 years when I did my first patio project at our old house. The Patio is the thing that almost made us keep the house because we loved it and used it a lot. We wanted a bigger lot so we could build a pool and when we decided to move we figured David could do it again. and he did!! I asked him to participate in the building process for the Wood Deck and Pool at our new house so he could incorporate his recommendations / ideas and expertise. I appreciated his designs as much or more than his work. He has a good eye for flow. We love the patio and use this outdoor space every weekend in the Summer. David did all the concrete work and outdoor kitchen and pool decks. (Including the Cool Deck coating). He has also polished our concrete floors in the basement and completed two retaining walls for us. We also use his team to occasionally clean and seal our decks. Pricing and speed met our expectations. As a Final FYI, he just cleaned and resealed our deck this week. Our pool and outdoor kitchen is now almost 5 years old and it looks great. I didn't know David before our first meeting at the quote stage and I found him by chance on the internet. I will never lose his number. Good guy and great work. read more

I obtained several bids to repair concrete on our pool deck, including adding new surfacing. Their bid was the most creative and while not the lowest, we felt their value of concept far exceeded others. The work was well done and we really appreciated all the great ideas they brought to the table throughout the process we were very happy with work and would highly recommend!! read more
