I had a great experience at Roma Kitchen. The chicken parmesan was excellent, perfectly cooked, flavorful, and a really solid portion. I paired it with a bottle of Caymus, which made the dinner even better. The vibe of the restaurant is great, comfortable, welcoming, and perfect for a relaxed night out. What I really appreciated is that the pricing is very reasonable, especially for the quality of the food and the overall experience. We dined at Roma Kitchen with an 8:30 PM reservation (they close at 9:30 PM). When we arrived, the staff seemed caught off guard and our table wasn't ready, which was a bit surprising given the reservation. The food itself was very good and met expectations. However, the service felt noticeably rushed throughout the evening. It appeared the restaurant had just finished serving a large party, and we got the sense they were trying to wrap up for the night. At one point, my wife had only had her entrée for about 10-15 minutes before we were asked if she wanted a box, which made us feel like we needed to leave rather than enjoy the meal at a normal pace. Overall, the quality of the food was solid, but the service experience didn't match. Because of that, we'd likely consider other options before returning. read more

Added shrimp for protein for $10 and I almost wanted to call and see if it was a mistake that I only received 3. The amount should be stated when ordering, as it is a little comical. Bruschetta has a 1.5 cherry tomatoes on it, also soaked in oil underneath. ($15) Tortellini is also nothing memorable unfortunately, could probably make something similar at home. We came here for happy hour, but it's only available at the bar and the bar was full by the time we arrived, so heed warning if that's a strong part of your decision for dining here! Despite that, we sat at a table and ordered off their regular menu. The service was great, but the food was just okay. There weren't many memorable dishes, but the portion sizes are reasonable. One let-down that led to the lower review was their pasta - it was noticeably overcooked and we let our server know. She was super gracious in making us another dish (just the pasta part), but the second time was just as overcooked, so we chose to just stick with what we had. For an Italian restaurant, we would expect a better cook on the pasta. A bit of a bummer since we live so close, but we unfortunately won't be regulars. read more

This is my second time here! The restaurant (Roma Kitchen) is located at 10420 S Decatur Blvd #100 Las Vegas, NV 89141. They now have a Happy Hour! The server remembered what I drank! That was two months ago! It smells incredibly clean in here! The layout is quite simple too. To start it out, i'm ordering the S. Pellegrino sparkling natural spring water. The mineral composition includes calcium, magnesium, and bicarbonates, offering a distinct, slightly salty, and refreshing taste profile. I love this stuff! For my first drink, I'm having a Smoked Old Fashioned. This is made with Whistle Pig, simple syrup, Angostura bitters, amarena cherries and an orange peel (garnish). This is perfect! It's well balanced and garnished! They use a large ice cube to skid up the dilution process. You have to love the smoking chest! Very good! I'm impressed! I love the oldies music in here. Decent volume too. For our appetizers, we are having the Bruschetta (which is soft, white cheese (like mozzarella), marinated tomatoes and basil) and stuffed artichokes (made with bread crumbs, olive oil and Parmesan cheese)! The Bruschetta is great! You can smell it when it's served. This is an open kitchen so you can see chefs hard at work. There's people picking up food as well for takeout orders. There's not a lot of decor in here but it's very clean in here. For his entree, my friend is having the Meat Lasagna made with fresh mozzarella and meat sauce. I am having the Chicken Marsala made with butter, Marsala wine and mushrooms. Each entree includes vegetables (broccoli) and potatoes. The broccoli is really good with a peppery flavor. I love those potatoes too! We are also having a side of sautéed spinach. Oh yeah! Those are yummy! I have not had these in decades! My entree is steaming hot and quite good! God, that's good! For my second drink, I'm having the Whistle Pig Manhattan made with Whistle Pig whiskey, sweet vermouth and Amarena cherries. This is good! It's well balanced and nicely garnished. I like the use of the large ice cube too. Mike is having the Carajillo made with Licor 43 and espresso. This is a first for him! Licor 43 (Cuarenta y Tres) is a bright, golden Spanish liqueur made from a secret recipe of 43 natural ingredients, including citrus fruits, vanilla, and aromatic herbs and spices, resulting in a sweet, citrus-vanilla flavor. It's versatile and can be served neat, on the rocks, mixed with soda, milk, or fruit juices, and is famously used in the "Carajillo" cocktail with coffee. Mike says it tastes a bit "nutty." The server is unbelievably attentive and incredibly nice! For my dessert, I'm having the [Jon] Taffer's Brown Buttered Bourbon Affogato. An affogato is a simple Italian dessert made by pouring a shot of hot espresso over a scoop of cold vanilla gelato or ice cream. The name "affogato" means "drowned" in Italian, referring to the way the hot coffee melts the ice cream. It is a quick and easy dessert that can be enjoyed immediately, with optional additions like liqueurs, chocolate shavings, or nuts. I am a huge fan of Bar Rescue! I'm dying to try this! OMG! Food was above average but nothing was stellar. It is a bit pricey for the quality and quantity but not unreasonable for Southern Highlands area. The service was good considering how busy they were during our visit. We enjoyed our time here and did not feel rushed. The space has been a multitude of restaurants over the years and has been remade over and over. The big question is would we go here again? I cannot believe that Roma Kitchen has been so close to my house for over a year and I'm just now learning about it. I love everything we ordered and can't wait to return. We started with the shrimp scampi and it was so good and filling. We also ordered chicken piccata and chicken francese which were both so good and came in huge portions. The side of pasta we got for our daughter was in a cheesy butter sauce and she ate so much of it but we had to take home leftovers since the portions were huge. I've only dined in here once, but I've ordered takeout several times and felt it was worth leaving a review. It's not quite a perfect 5 stars, but it's pretty close. The service is consistently 5-star. The ladies who work here are always friendly, attentive, professional, and polite. Every time I come in for takeout they greet me right away and acknowledge that I'm there, which I really appreciate. You'd be surprised how many places with 5-star ratings don't even do that. The restaurant itself is a nice little spot tucked away in a strip mall. The food is definitely above average. I really like the Caesar dressing they use on the salad which is flavorful and stands out. The meatballs are also highly recommended. A couple small things kept it from being a full 5 stars for me. The Bolognese sauce was just okay, and the bread could definitely be improved. That said, the food is always well packaged for takeout, the service is consistently great, and the staff is welcoming every time I come in. I'm really glad we finally have a good Italian restaurant in Southern Highlands because many of the others in the area are pretty subpar. I went for a wine tasting hosted by a sommolier. They had a wine pairing with some food options to match. I didn't do the food pairing because they didn't have meatless options. The wine selection was fantastic and I was pleasantly surprised by the Chianti. I did order some calamari and it was a huge portion but it lacked seasoning. The preparation was great, very tender. Thank goodness for the sauce that accompanied it. Service was cool but not memorable-couldn't tell you anyone's name. And the restaurant was nice, clean, not loud. read more

My best friend and/or I come here at least twice a month and I have to say the food and service has been exceptional every time. Found this hidden gem on the corner of southern highlands! Walked in and loved the ambiance, frank sinatra playing in the background. I had the pleasure of dining here tonight with friends, and it was a nice experience. This charming Italian restaurant may be small, but it's pretty, cozy, and incredibly comfortable. Even with two large parties and a packed house on a Monday evening, the atmosphere was never too loud or overwhelming. The food was good--large portions, very tasty, and thoroughly enjoyable. Everyone at our table left satisfied! While the service was a little slow, likely due to how busy the restaurant was, our server Ryan was outstanding. He was friendly, accommodating, and did a great job despite the crowd, so no points lost there. It was also a delight to see the manager, Steve Kennedy, who happens to be an old friend. First of all the food is excellent. The one star is for making our main course come out 35 mins after the app. Making us late to a show at The Sphere.. After telling the waitress we are going to the Sphere to see the Eagles. She acknowledged we need quick service. Our food arrived after four tables that sat down after us And After asking several times where is our main course? What did they do for us? "Friends and family" discount of 25%. How about $2,,5000 for the tickets that were partially used because we were late because as the waitress told me. Our orders were passed over for Uber eats orders. That is DISGUSTING. After my friend & I were sat down, Fred who is one of the owners introduced himself and gave us information about the restaurant, the menu & the chef. I can sometimes be an introvert and feel out of place. I absolutely love Italian food so I wanted to give this place a try. Nic is by far the best waitress I've had in a long time. She's very friendly, super attentive and made me feel comfortable. I don't think I've ever felt this kind of hospitality in a long while, so it was refreshing. Obsessed! This has quickly become my husband's and my favorite Italian restaurant. We first visited in February and have already been back several times. We even brought his parents -- who are Italian and have very high standards -- and they absolutely loved it! The service has consistently been excellent, and during one visit, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was incredibly friendly.
