    Carne asada taco special..good!
    Lisa G.

I did not know this existed until we drove by it going home from another restaurant. Couple of days later, we decided to give it a try. This location has a dining area and a bar area, so you can choose to not be in a smoke filled environment...I was very happy about that. We walked in around 5 pm and we were the first ones in the non smoke area. The waitress in there was wonderful and let us know it was happy hour and that tacos were on special that day. We both ordered a happy hour beer for 4 dollars...total bargain. They were playing some sports on the TVs and had some pretty good music going on...I thought it was well done. I tried the carne asada tacos for 12.99 and hub got the French dip for 12.99 as well. Food came out very fresh and was delicious...totally bar food...not anything that would blow your mind...but it hit the spot. The tacos had a nice red spicy sauce on them as well as pickled onions. Hub got his sandwich with meat only, no condiments except for the au jus...he asked for steak fries...he was happy. Will be back to try different things...more people started coming in after 5:30, so it does pick up in there.

Came to watch the ncaa games and get a bite to eat. I was pleasantly surprised, it was delicious and really clean. Service was prompt. I got the 24/7 special steak and eggs and my only gripe was the steak was cooked well and I asked for medium. Other than that I love it. They have daily specials which I thought was super cool and everything was reasonably priced. Definitely will be back to try other things.

$ - affordable and worth it My brother has been trying to get me to come here for a while now and I finally took the offer. I should have taken it sooner! The pot pie is a must. I got the tuna melt which was good no complaints but if I ate meat I would definately go for the pot pie. The rest of my party got the shepherds pie which wasn't bad but again they said they wished they got the pot pie lol we also got the sweet potatoes tots which came with caramel dip, also delicious. I recommend giving this place a try

Village Pub has locations all over the Las Vegas Valley. I believe 12 pubs. On this visit, I went to the Village Pub on Cactus, which isn't too far from the South Point Hotel. The pub is broken up into two sections. The bar is in an enclosed space on the left, and the restaurant dining room is on the right. The menu is pretty extensive with daily specials but you know I had to order their 24hr steak & eggs breakfast. You get two eggs, steak, toast& breakfast potatoes all for $9..99. I'll be honest at that price I wasn't expecting much but the breakfast turned out great. Service- attentive and prompt Parking- plenty Open 24hrs Prices- Great deals. Affordable prices

You just can't beat the price of a variety of good food and the relaxed atmosphere of this place. I'm thinking the demographic is about 50 years plus, but I always see families gathered together at this location. From shrimp baskets to steaks, breakfast eggs and sausage, and corned beef sandwiches, this place has it all. The employees are friendly and the service is good. They also have a separate bar area where people like to drink and throw their money away into the slot machines. This is probably one of the reasons the food is still affordable here. I think all Village Pubs are a local's favorite and best kept secret!

Last night late dinner date, quiet and a chill place to satisfy that "steak and egg's craving" without the long wait lines. Friendly staff and quick service on the food. Sat in the Bar area, the restaurant area closes at 9pm. I'll be back for sure! BTW = Steak and Eggs dinner is 24 hour special is $9.99 (As of 11/4/24).

Great choice for a meal at off hours because there a full menu with quite the variety of items available 24/7. Prices are good and even better during happy hours or if you take advantage of specials. Food comes out nicely done and fairly quick. It has the typical gaming bar feel to it but you can go into a restaurant only area if you want to escape that. Bartender Erika does a great job checking on you frequently.

Sunday turkey dinner. Smoke filled bar area. My eyes burn. No phones allowed. Loud football games. My phone annoys Dan the bar manager.

Dan the bartender reminded us that it's rude to be on our phone in the bar. We are eating dinner at a table adjacent to the bar. They can smoke cigarettes at the bar and impose on our dinner, loud fu football games, but on our phone irritates the Manager, Dan. We are in shock.

Super clean pub! When you walk in there is an area for just food and another side for the bar. The restrooms were so clean. The waiters were super nice and attentive. But the food! That was just a miss for me and my family. I will say I enjoyed the cauliflower nuggets they were nice and fresh and warm. The burger was like dry. I ordered plain chicken tenders and they were dry. The chicken tenders that we ordered with bbq sauce was not that good either not sure if it was the sauce. The onion rings were okay they were not bad they did taste fresh. I had a double Hennessey and Red Bull, it was good. Not sure if they were closing the kitchen maybe that's why the food Was not that good, But i am willing to try it again maybe a little earlier.

Tuesday Special - Pot Roast Dinner
    Harold S.

I've never been to a Village Pub before, but I've heard good things about it, so I decided to try it out on my recent trip to Las Vegas. I ordered the Tuesday daily special which was a pot roast dinner for only $10.99. Although the price was certainly very reasonable, I wasn't particularly impressed. It was certainly ok, but I thought the pot roast was a little fatty. It came smothered in a tangy gravy along with mashed potatoes and a side of vegetables. The dinner also came with a choice of soup or salad, and I chose the salad. The lettuce, unfortunately, was slightly wilted, but still certainly edible. My guess is that I simply ordered the wrong thing, so I need to try again some other time. Hopefully, next time I'll have something I'll enjoy better.

They have happy hour (half off certain appetizers) every day of the week between 3-6pm. All of the food has been good. I have tried several dishes now. The Irish breakfast is very good. It is a decent size, you can share it with someone. It is pretty authentic. Looking to try blood pudding? No need to travel across the ocean, this pub has it and it tastes good (I travel to Ireland often). The homemade potato soup is quite tasty if you're looking for something warm. Whenever I come here with a group, we order the nachos. It is huge, and it is so good. The homemade crisps (chips) and gravy are super tasty if youre a gravy person (which I am). The Irish stew is quite good. Same with the shepherds pie. The fish and chips are also tasty. Ive ordered this multiple times and it never disappoints. The fish is a good size. I really like the beer batter on the fish. We have never been disappointed with our food. Go early to beat the crowds and take advantage of their happy hour. They also have sports games playing. Oh yeah - one side of the building has some casino games and a bar, the other side has the restaurant and a bar AA well. I am an active player sometimes I win, break even or lose however as of recently I've had issues getting my food and drink comped I almost always order from the player menu and many times I have to remind the bartender to take the discount off the bill. Today was the worst example of this I had 3 drinks within the space of 40 minutes or so with active play I just so happened to break even in this time and I had a meal from the players menu. The bartender Juan while friendly and attentive gave me a bill with no drinks comped and full price on the players menu when I asked him about this and tried to get the drinks taken off he told me it worked like every other bar that I had to play $1 or more a hand and lose $20 per drink but I broke even so they aren't comped. Well that's not how any other bar works in all my time playing at various bars including this one my drinks have been comped whether I win or lose and I've always played 1.25 a hand or more so this was perplexing that not a single drink I ordered was covered after almost an hour of continuous play. I eventually got him to at least give me the players discount but still paid for every single drink. Perhaps I had too many drinks within the time frame but I should have at least had one of them comped I've never run into a bar that doesn't comp drinks for play it's just so standard but if this is the new policy of the Tavern I will find someplace else to gamble. Getting drinks comped is the bare minimum of a gaming bar if their policy has changed it is no longer worth it to visit and I would recommend any of the many competitors to this bar just for this factor alone. I'm assuming it is the bartenders discretion in which case I've never had an issue with Ted this is my first time seeing the other bartender Juan I will not be returning when he is there.

We both had fish and chips on our brains, and I know Flowing Tide in the north has yummy fish and chips, so I was hoping this Vegas location would too. The menus for all the locations in both Northern and Southern Nevada are posted online. This location was easy to find, Vegas is so easy to get around, everything is all laid out on a grid, with big throughfares every one mile. We just got on Trop as the locals call it, till we got to Decater and go a little bit and there we are. The place is open 24 hrs. like a lot of things in Vegas. Parking is easy and we go right in. Looking at the menu, I see prices are higher by a few bucks per item and I see more upscale items on the menu that we don't have in the north, like crab cakes! I saw the fish and chips, so that's what we got. I really don't care for coleslaw in general, so I got mine with double fries instead and my friend likes coleslaw and is cutting carbs, so she got double coleslaw and no fries. The order comes with 4 nice pieces of crispy deep fried fish, along with malt vinegar of course. The fish was super hot and tasty seasoned at the table with salt and malt vinegar. I was taught that was the British way to do fish and chips, tarter and catsup is the American way! If I'm down here in Vegas again, I'll have to give some of these more upscale items a try, unless Flowing Tide decides to bring them to Reno locations.
