Really enjoyed our visit to The Tavern! The bartender was excellent--friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The entire place was also very clean and well kept. They have a great happy hour with plenty of good options. The deep-fried PB&J was definitely the standout--so fun, indulgent, and absolutely delicious! The candy bacon was the only thing that missed the mark for us. It was served cold and was just okay; we were expecting it to be warm and a little more flavorful. Overall, a great spot for drinks, happy hour, and some fun food. We'd definitely come back--especially for that PB&J! read more

1 Star -- Paid for a BLT, received everything except the BLT Extremely disappointing. I ordered an $18.99 BLT with a customer note asking to add grilled chicken. Instead, I received a single piece of grilled chicken by itself, sweet potato fries, and dipping sauces. There was no BLT whatsoever -- no bread, no bacon, no lettuce, and no tomato. The grilled chicken was supposed to be added to the BLT, not replace the entire sandwich. The receipt clearly shows "1x BLT" and my note saying "Add grilled chicken please," so I'm not sure how the main item was completely left out. I paid $26.48 total for this order and essentially received a piece of chicken, fries, and a drink. I have photos of exactly what was delivered as well as the receipt. Really frustrating, especially for a late-night order when there aren't many options to replace a missing meal. read more

We visited on Friday, for lunch, with a party of two and it was a very nice experience. The place looks a bit sketchy from the outside, but once you walk in it is large, clean and welcoming. We seated ourselves and the bartender/server came by to take our order. Their margaritas are strong and refreshing. We started with Candy Bacon and Buffalo Chicken Wontons. The bacon was served cold, not even room temp, which was odd. Both apps were quite tasty though. We then went with Meatball and Turkey Sandwiches. The portions were HUGE, and they were prepared perfectly. The service was very good, the bartender kept track of us well. Overall, a great place for a bite and a drink. read more

So wifey and I wanted to try something new rather than a 5 normal places and we were looking around on Yelp and came across this bar! Walking in the vibes are it, very beach forward themed smaller restaurant area and decency size bar with keno machines. The bartender is friendly and super welcoming. Everything is decorated so cute as well. We sat at 2 machines, got cards, and your first 20 points you get $20 freeplay so that's a bonus. The machines we are on are keeping us on our toes. The menu is a decent size we ordered the pulled pork sandwich & the French Toast & both were BOMB. The flavor on the pork was amazing and the sweet roll French toast was just sweet enough. Went there for sports. I'm not calling it game night because they do have trivia. Ordered the $15 dollar wings. These were the smallest wings I have seen in my life. Solid. Was gonna go to a familiar but delicious spot for my birthday but woman showed some videos and the menu sounded yummy here so we came. Wasn't super busy, we were greeted when we walked in. Jessica was fabulous! Knowledgeable, attentive, kind and funny. She was able to answer every question we had about the menu and her recommendations were spot on. We did the 3 for $20 app platter w surfboards, potstickers and Rangoon. Delicious! Everything tasted fresh and the house made marinara and ranch were amazing. Lots of things on the menu were appealing but I ultimately did the garlic noodz w shrimp and woman did the piccata. Jessica knew the piccata was lemony and that the noodz paired better with the shrimp than meatballs and she wasn't wrong. They could've put a couple more shrimp on but given what they charge it's probably on par. My food was good but it got better overnight. The garlic set in and the bread was amazing!!! They had a lot of things on the menu I'd come back to try. I'd also come back for Jessica's amazing service. She really made the visit. The place itself is spacious and we had our pick of tables. Naturally I did the VIP one in the corner. It was made for royalty lol. Lots of screens and one had cute animals and bloopers. We went on a Thursday night to catch the spaghetti dinner specials. Pulled up thought the spot was a bit sketch but cool. Rolled in and found the interior to be pretty cool. Our server Jaimie, with two i,s in her name was awesome. She pretty much was the entire staff. Now the spaghetti. Normal boiled noodles and canned sauce. The meatballs were two formed and fried balls of hamburger. Not much for spice. More reliant on the sauce. No garlic bread in sight. The martini was good. Nice spot! We heard about the $3.99 Thursday spaghetti and meatballs on YouTube and decided to check it out. Clean and warm interior, friendly service, and the special did not disappoint! We had really disappointing experiences. Just look at the photos and ask yourself if this is worth a $50 buffet: boiled chicken, salad, fries, sausage, beans... Everything was bland and cold. It was shockingly bad, even Golden Corral does a far better job. Yes, the price includes unlimited beer, but realistically, how many beers can you drink to justify a $50 ticket when the food is this poor? And FYI, it's unlimited cheap beer, soft drinks like Coke or tea aren't even included. I expected them to maintain at least a decent standard, but this was truly unacceptable. It feels like they cut corners in the worst way and ended up driving customers away. They don't host buffets often, so this should have been a chance for people to sample their dishes and want to return. Instead, it did the opposite. You genuinely feel like they just wanted to rip you off and didn't care about your experience at all. read more

I've been coming here for a while now and overall it's been a good experience but recently I've had some issues with how the bar comps drinks and food. I am an active player sometimes I win, break even or lose however as of recently I've had issues getting my food and drink comped I almost always order from the player menu and many times I have to remind the bartender to take the discount off the bill. Today was the worst example of this I had 3 drinks within the space of 40 minutes or so with active play I just so happened to break even in this time and I had a meal from the players menu. The bartender Juan while friendly and attentive gave me a bill with no drinks comped and full price on the players menu when I asked him about this and tried to get the drinks taken off he told me it worked like every other bar that I had to play $1 or more a hand and lose $20 per drink but I broke even so they aren't comped. Well that's not how any other bar works in all my time playing at various bars including this one my drinks have been comped whether I win or lose and I've always played 1.25 a hand or more so this was perplexing that not a single drink I ordered was covered after almost an hour of continuous play. I eventually got him to at least give me the players discount but still paid for every single drink. Perhaps I had too many drinks within the time frame but I should have at least had one of them comped I've never run into a bar that doesn't comp drinks for play it's just so standard but if this is the new policy of the Tavern I will find someplace else to gamble. Getting drinks comped is the bare minimum of a gaming bar if their policy has changed it is no longer worth it to visit and I would recommend any of the many competitors to this bar just for this factor alone. I'm assuming it is the bartenders discretion in which case I've never had an issue with Ted this is my first time seeing the other bartender Juan I will not be returning when he is there. read more

The Tavern is everything a Vegas gaming bar and restaurant should be - delicious fairly priced food and drinks and friendly people in a cozy welcoming environment. The menu has impressive variety and some unique options such as fried pb&j and poutine to go along with more classic bar food options. The taco salad and mozzarella sticks are favorites, and the nachos could satisfy a small army! The daily specials such as taco Tuesday, pizza Wednesday, and spaghetti Thursday are all great deals at price points that are nearly impossible to find in Vegas these days. Drinks are strong and reasonably priced. Service is always quick and friendly. The overall vibe in the Tavern is really relaxed and welcoming. Huge shout out to Max and the team for putting together a truly special place! While it may look like just another Vegas gaming bar on the surface, this place is really something special. We have been here during the day and our experience with Mallory has been great. Good food etc. Being here for the first time on a Saturday night, I expected so much better. Our food is soooo soaked in grease. The corn is in a bath of grease and butter, and the chips aren't even cooked all the way they just go limp and wiggle. Gross. (little too much salt on the egg salad) We have had the taco salad, a Cobb salad, fish and chips, chicken Marsala... but last week, we ordered soup along with our meals. You'll find classic, pleather couches and chairs as opposed to wooden tables/chairs (though they do have those at the bar). They have a fun, flirty Baywatch theme going, which was unique. Lots of games, board games, darts, and video poker type games. Wednesday is free trivia, which is not your average trivia because the guys that put it on come up with their own questions. Full kitchen, food was comfort style and hearty. Patrons seemed to love the food, though I didn't eat. They did have a few items on a healthier food option menu if you aren't looking for the bar food vibe. They have great specials depending on what night of the week you visit - including $9.99 pizzas and BOGO beer deals on Wednesday. They are adamant about no smoking or vaping, which I appreciated. We went yesterday graveyard and our bartender was Juan P. Me and my boyfriend were gambling and playing darts. We each had 2 drinks. And when we asked for the bill Juan P had the audacity to say since we won money on the machines we were not allowed to have a comped drink. He told us if we would have lost money on the machines he'll comp our drinks but since we won some money he did not want to comp our drink. That's the first time I've heard that rule at a bar. Usually bars comp drinks if you're consistently gambling the whole time and that's what we were doing. We put alot of money into the machines. So be careful whenever you go to this location, If you're gambling and winning some money you are not entitled to a comped drink. read more

We have visited twice now and had great visits both times. Joanna was our server each time. She was helpful and made recommendations upon our request. We were never with out a beverage. On the first visit we ordered the pizza and bucket of beer (5 beers) special during happy hour for $28. We had mushroom, peppers, and onions (our standard). The pizza could use more sauce for us, but was good. The second visit was a week later and we ordered the Thursday special, which is spaghetti and meatballs for $3.99. It was really good, the sauce had a nice kick to it and the portion was plenty especially for the price. We also ordered the fried peanut butter and jelly to share, which was good as well. They have specials all day Monday through Friday and Happy Hour is 3-6pm every day. It's a fun place to watch the game and hangout with nice people.
